You should show it more up front. When you lean forward to show us the strings they're totally camoflaged by the rosewood neck, they disappear due to the graininess and bad resolution and thin strings. I've tried this on numerous guitars and all I get is some weird double note sound with fret buzz. I do think it has to be that guitar with those frets and strings and pickups. Do it on any other guitar? The same way?
I still don't understand, I saw many other ways to make a bell sound, but this one because my computer screen can't figure out what you did. Did you loop over one string over another? If yes, which strings and at which fret?
@LinkBulletBill You're correct. You cross over the strings. I would start on the G and B string, but you can do it on any of them. You can also play at any fret. I find it better if you hold the strings down just behind where you have crossed them over. Let me know how you get on.
ok basically same technique to make a snare drum sound on a classical guitar... but since it's an electric guitar it makes a bell sound. well since it's steel strings, and not nylon.
Neat! I've played for 6 years and never realized you could do that.

Michael Schenker must be given credit for this. He used the trick on Lost Horizons in about 1980?

Second best one I've seen. Decent sound, but seems a little sparse on the instructions.
This guy got a great church bell sound with a really simple trick, search for 'burnywldevideos', and the vid is called 'church bell.wmv'

@MatsOrbation Hi. Yes it works on all electric guitars. Just cross the strings over each other and put the B string UNDER the G string and try it.

You cross your strings over so that they overlap and play both strings at the same time.
Thanks
