I hope the drinkers of those hooves get " foot in mouth" disease. There is absolutely nothing racist about this video; people use that excuse to continue their evil exploitation of animals and to try to shut you up! Keep speaking, vegan sexy girls; dare to teach compassion!
Linaya12 please go get a sense of humor- I go for all cultures and people- I do not discriminate and Carole is not a whitey LOL- Kiss my white vegan booty ;)
i now hate my friend for sending me this video. and of course it was two white girls making fun of that cerimony. they should shut up. finally i dont care what animal it came from all i know it that they were yummy.
I use different tactics all around. I love everyone all races- all of our cultures are guilty of major animal diservices and cruelty. This event made me happy when I saw so many animal gaurdians come out & have their animals blessed. I was not so happy to see the Cow pulled/yanked by his horns and other farm animals being dragged to be blessed to eat. Then there were animal parts sold everywhere u looked. I will always speak up 4 the animals. I try and joke about it. Nobody is safe. LOL 1Love
I am a Vegan and love animals. "Blessing of the Animals" is a religious ceremony dating back to the third century. San Antonio de Abad started this ceremony to show grateful recognition of the tremendous services given to humans by animals. I don't think making fun of Mexicans, Indians and Catholics is the right way to get your message across. It comes off racist and just mean spirited. That's probably why your booth was empty.
It's not racist and no one is making fun of Mexican people at all. We ARE making fun of religious catholics, I can't speak for my friend, but I am making fun of ALL religion. I am making fun of religion, which is ridiculous, preposterous and has dangerous ideas regarding animals.
According to the church, animals have no soul and cannot enter heaven. Who wants to go to place where there are no animals? You can't be an animals rights activist AND a religious catholic at the same time. No logic.
GREAT WORK YOU GUYS! Glad you exposed this hypocracy. Those poor cow legs and rabbits' feet. You were perfect. Whatever culture - you should never profit from animal suffering.
Thank you Carole, Elle & Jennifer for showing everyone some of what goes on so hopefully people can become enlightened and more compassionate, and make this day a TRUE celebration of the animals. This day should be used to educate about kindness to them and throw that fertility crap right out the window. THAT we do NOT need!
To those who commented that the people were only trying to make a living and that it's their culture, I wonder how you would feel if their livelihoood and their culture included doing the same thing to humans. Cruelty is cruelty, no matter the species. Carole and Elle, you rock!
Thanks for exposing this. Times have changed from just rabbits feet. The cow hoofs appalled me. Next year I'll come with you and we'll bring Super Soaker squirt guns and give them a "what for"!
I'm sorry but WE absolutely loved the fact that people brought their animals 2 be blessed but during T/parade farm animals were abused-fur & feathersworn-it was beautiful yet not right-
I thought I would love this event but the small cages and the dragging of T/cows & awful treatment of horses so much 1ran out into the crowd!
The point is- Please educate people on this and many other things. Blessing of the animals should be beautiful not shocking and disturbing! Period.

I know you mean well in the support of vegan lifestyle, however, this comes across as demeaning to people trying to make a living. Instead of negative campaigning focus your attention on things that would actually approve VEGANism....
sometimes people need shock value with some laughs. Different Tactic for different people- It actually works. In no way was this video out to be demeaning.

How interesting! I am also vegan and absolutely disagree with the uses for animals shown in the video. However, these animal products are not only found in this one area--you can find the same in a mall! What is important here is the need for education- the Blessing of the Animals is filled with animal lovers; their circle of compassion just needs to be expanded by explaining the cruelty and the reasoning behind a vegan lifestyle. A "holier than thou" attitude doesn't help!
Yes dadhapan I understand your view but don't agree. I feel this was to be about "Blessing of the Animals" Yes these things are sold at malls and certain cultures have their own beliefs but I don't think this was appropriate for this occasion. People where celebrating LIFE for their furry kids and animals NOT DEATH!!!

@4helpinganimals
I can't believe people advocate killing plants for food.
These plants absorb C02 and clean the air we breathe.
This killing MUST STOP before we are all dead!

Exactly! They had cow meat pies there.
The holy cow was 5 feet away from the beef taco's...do they bless them to eat them? sigh
