  • I am so proud to have been involved in this show. It was the highlight of my four years in the OMB :-)

  • OH CRAP I was at this playing the flute in my band! MVHS and this our stadium. Man this brings back memories

  • Thanks for posting this! I played piccolo in 2002 and 2003 for OMB and loved it! This was a grueling show, but really something to be proud of.

  • Not that it matters much, but this was the 1st performance of this show. Also, the OMB isn't your typical marching band. It's about the competition-style. Music Ed majors are required to take two years of OMB for the degree so, yes, this how a high school or corps-style show would look; it's all by design and curriculum.

  • Its good i guess, but for some reason and this is in almost all highschools and in all states but the music tempo is speed up, which i dont like :(

  • Every tempo was the same tempo as the original.

  • This is incredible! This seriously inspired me to consider joining marching band again next year. *sigh* I got soo many shivers up and down my spine watching this!

  • also, just a note.... How many schools have you seen that play great musical stuff but just stand there while they play.... I thought it was called "marching band". Wow... they play great music and the fans love them.....but they just stand there.... "hey...why is the pep band on the field?"

  • OMB is a great band but nothing about them says COLLEGE band. It's all very "drum corps" and "high school" IMO.

And to the guy in the Bruin Marching Band: I'd take the UCLA Marching Band over this any day.

Either way.....good job on this competition-style show! However, thousands of drunk football fans wouldn't care for it.

  • I would have to agree with you ..... and I would have to say the majority of the OMB would agree with you too. We all know this isn't a "Fan Friendly" show. Thats not what we were all about. We base a lot of our show on the drum corp styles and we enjoy producing a quality competitive style show. We do play some fun stuff in the the stands however. Its crazy when you here the student section yelling "Move bitch, get out the way."

  • Impressive performance. I was thinking about joining the OMB next year on snare. Are you currently in the band?

  • i think that the university of Oregon is the best, i've heard them live against the ucla and others and they are truely awesome and i know the hard work that goes into those shows, i was in a marching band and field work is a lot harder...and i was in a good band too

  • Great Job, OMB is really good, but will never get the respect they deserve unless they get rid of those terrible uniforms, they should be the Nike Marching Band.

  • OMG!!! I was in this show. I remember that year. It was the best and the last year I did marching band. Will never forget that show. True we rehearsed a lot, but with good intentions in being the best marching band, and we were! Go Colorguard Girlz!!!!

  • I've never seen them in person (except the Basketball band, which is amazing), but I'd have to say Oregon is probably the best marching band in the Pac-10--this coming from someone in the Bruin Marching Band.

  • My fiance was in the OMB for a long time and took part in this show.

I remember her being constantly exhausted at the time because the practice was so gurelling, but also being incredibly proud of the job the band did performing it.

Gave me a lot of respect for marching bands.

  • This is "Jack Sparrow" we got this music for concert band a few weeks ago.. We are still learing it though..

  • Nice job!
