I took a course in adversting when I was in college. This commercial is excellent in every aspect. Even if you do not like it (personally I love it), you will remember the sponsor and how they drive home their "every kiss begins with Kay" slogan with the very extremely clever "read my lips" response.

I'm with you on that one darlin, my boyfriend is deaf and for the past 11 months that we have been together I have been dedicated to learning ASL. Currently I am doing great but I will admit, I still need to sharpen up a bit on my signing. Going from communicating with each other with our phones to actual sign language is just amazing in my eyes! Here's how it works:

You type something on your phone and show it to her. And you do this back and forth with her, all the while getting to know her more. Then you start learning sign language. Notice I use "sign language" and not ASL. Then you build a vocabulary and start learning ASL and practicing with her. At this point, you start liking her even more and keep practicing because the older you get, the harder it is to learn new things like languages. How do I know? I loved a deaf girl once.

No, I agree 100%. I am currently in a relationship with a Deaf person, and I made it a priority to learn sign language, no questions asked. Communication is SO important....I really disliked this commercial. I knew how to sign "Merry Christmas," like, 2 weeks after I started learning...if he's involved with her enough to buy her an expensive watch, he needs to already know how to say basic stuff like that. Besides, he doesn't even sign complete thoughts. Ew. No. Strong dislike.
