Most men start out as nice guys, observe total jerks fucking every girl they've got the hots for and then eventually figure if you can't beat em join em, only to find that holy shit it works like magic. @ArchNME Yes, but thats speaking from experience, so you would have a personal misconception of how women work. I won't deny that there are some women who will be turned on by jackasses, but its not a natural thing, it depends on enviroment, women are taught to be submissive and receptive to that type of 'dominant' behaviour from family, friends and media products. My parents worked hard to provide a balanced household and moral education for me. I dated a dickhead, I dumped him.

@asdfxcxv I wouldn't really suggest giving up on working on your confidence but you could look in niche markets for a potential romantic interest, just like there are plenty of men ranging from dicks to nice guys to confident guys to shy guys there are plenty of women with the same diverse traits. These people are experiencing the same problems as you but are also working hard to find others like them, if you also work hard to meet such a person than thats meeting halfway. :)
A geek would be more willing to be clingy,devoted, usually smart if not they change real quick with the prospect of a girl all in all much better than a jock or a jerk for love.

I haven't seen a normally functioning smart guy, ever. There are the literals, the interpreters, the pragmatics, the perfectionists, and a bunch of other scientific characteristics that are usually misunderstood.

They just are more aware of things. In this day and age, many people take things for granted. Not geeks and nerds. They are always careful and plan steps ahead of time. This usually irks those who are not as equally intelligent as them.
