The sound in this game... sounds like 9000 guys with uzis?.. Very tempted to pick up this game, though. Looks like lots of fun. How does it compare to the men of war games? Is it as micro-manage based as that, or is this more of a large scale maps where the units are somewhat autonomous? Give them general orders and they complete them?

The real time part of this game is awsome. The problem is the campaing part where you have really little interaction with your troops and "empire". As tinmaptd said, that game plus Hearts of Iron campaing would make the perfect WW2 game.

@tinmaptd i agree.. !! it would be awesome to have the whole grand strategy/tactical game at hand.. and to put like alot more people in MP than now.. like one person would be controling the research and building of the nation, the other one would be for military planning, the military leaders would lead the armies and fight the battles in 3D .. omg, ..that would be such a huge gigantic 2WW game, with more than 200 players involved.. the only real big problem is.. how to stop playing once u start

@BluestyleY this has existed since 1999 although not in its full glory. World War 2 online. Back in the day, this was the most amazing gaming experience. 1/2 scale of Europe! Accurate physics.. etc etc... I think we can only hope for a new approach to this dream...

Should I get this game, I've heard its had some very good reviews? I'm a fan of the Company of Heroes series but I also play Red Orchestra and Men of War so I think I might like it.

Where can I get his game in the U.K or is it just Download only? Does it come in disc format as well?

@dieTirpitz Okay, well I've bought it now anyway. Just starting off on the first mission, counter-attack. Its really good. Graphics are a bit too high for my PC though, so mostly everything is on low.

another think that i really love is that the tanks moves very slowly because of the terrain i may in many ww2 games that the tanks are like racing cars...here in this game if there is a hill u can hear! the engine of the tank's fatique even the numbers on the tank's aren't the same every tanks has the number of the batallion!..

I really recomend it!..it's very good game for those who love rts game conbined with very accurate historical details. i was amazed by the AI how he studies your defence line and your tactical moves! many times i was reall sure to win an d then a charge of infantry conbined with a panzer crushed my lines in a point where i've never said he will attack! the details of the tanks are so well done! the tanks hit don't catch fire quickly....until the amo inside catch fire...that's realistic!...

i've had this game for only a couple of days so im no expert. If Company of Heroes is your type of war game, forget it. If you like Men of War you are more likely to appreciate it. If Theatre of War 2 is you game then I assume you will love it.

...can't believe there is a game where enemy attacks you at 3am. I mean sometimes you fight in pitch black. Guns firing at night look amazing ( GTX 285 ) and the game has something very unique about it. Love the Command phaze in between battles. Epic game

Looks good and command campaign layer is nice. BUT what is going with the sounds compared to TOW? especially MG. UI is better than TOW.

Can you issue ALL commands while paused? TOW makes you un pause to pick up ammo. That IS REAL BAD. Deal breaker for me actually.
