  • How is it doing?

  • Swim Bladder disorder turns them upside down. Add cooked and shell peas a couple of times a week into his diet and he shouldn't have this problem again. :)

  • @scholesyandsidwell Wrong starve the fish for 3 days (a fish can live for 2 weeks before getting hungry so don't worry) then feed it defrosted crushed up peas.

  • @Skaterboy1091 Peas are not poison to the fish. I have fed my betta fish peas when he had swim bladder. The tank was filled with Planaria parasites and he kept eating them nonstop.. (THANKFULLY, I FINALLY GOT RID OF THEM!) The fish was back to normal in 1 day (for me!)

Also when feeding peas to a fish, put the pea in hot boiling water and peel off the skin. Then put it in cooler water. Peas clear up the system so that they won't have swim bladder anymore..

  • Thats great you cant keep a goldfish alive

  • My black moor gets swimbladder, just feed him some peas and put some swimbladder treatment in the water.

  • mine big gold fish was like that move

  • mines doing this right now but its floating sideways shall i feed it peas ?

  • i had the same fish 4 years ago..i still remember it getting eatin by this other (diffrent species) fish when i put them in the tank... the guy who sold them to me was an assclown.

  • wat did you do to ge it alive?

  • dude fish is constipated and forms a bubble shape on its side filled with air which makes it float up to the surface

  • why the hell do black moors do that? both of mine did that right before they died. i had several fantail fish, and it was only these that did that.. wtf? anyone kknow?

  • my fish did this and i just held him normal for about 30 mins and he was fine later on.

  • are you sure that the fish is really dying? fishes, like goldfishes, are famous for their big stomachs, and sometimes when they eat floating food, they swallows air, and turns upside down automatically. =) its no need to worry

  • wow...my fish is exactly like urs and its doing wat urs is...i was trying to research on how to save em... ;(

  • that happened to mine but instead of gold on bottom in turned gold on sides and the eyeball turned gold and it died then we had to put my alive fish in a creek the name was goldie and she lasted for months

  • my fish died about a year ago from a vein rupture of some kind. he had this once. he got fed peas and made it.

  • That happened to my tinfoil bard. Power went out. All I did was turn the battery pump on and hes back to normal!

  • hehe thanks guys for the suggestions + comments but it was swimming totally fine the next day, well maybe after a few days?

now my black moore is very big! :D

  • All u have to do when it's swim bladder stops working is take the fish out of water, tie a piece of string around the fish and put a little peice of styrofoam on the other end of the string. He won't be able to swim down, but he'll live!

  • swimmign bladder problem...

  • The fish is called a black moore. It is not dying as said before it has swim bladder disorder. You can feed it skined peas like said above or spinch (washed well either way) they also have treatment at your local pet store for it. your feeding your fish too much that is why this happens
