Skateboarding is much more positive than most of what the media promotes. I take care of my body so I can skate. I eat nutritionally to provide energy to skate. I exercise my mind to do the trick I want to do the way I want to do it. It teaches independence, perseverance and self confidence, but at the same time theres a brotherhood; we look out for one another and push one another to do their individual best at the same time. People just can't stand seeing anyone having such a good time. Why?

We had this problem in Helena MT with the kids skateboarding on the WWII memorials. The local vets got together with the kids and figured out a way to build a skate park across the street from the memorials using public funds and donations from veterans. Now everyone is happy, and the kids learned a lesson in civic virtue, and thinking outside the box.
