I have been reading the rcgroup forum from when you originally posted this vid. Cool camera work. My Blueray is in the mail headed to me, how long was it before you removed your training gear? Also, is your bird still alive or has it been totaled?
I just recently switched the frame to a standard trex type frame (exi cf frameset for $29). I had the rear tail drive gear strip on me and couldn't get it out. But it was flying really well up to that point. I had training gear on for maybe 6-8 flights. Once you start doing forward flight it kinda gets in the way.
Nope... but seriously... Why would u need AF for?... this is like a Mini PanaVision camera man.. they dont DO af... they have a focus puller instead... :P
hahaha... well.. you got a point there... but what i normally do is import the 30p 5Dmk2 footage into my timeline, and force it to 24p editing timebase... so i'd be getting something like, let's say the 5D footage is 2 seconds, in my 24p timeline. it'd be 2 seoncds and 12 frames... :)
Pretty cool piece of vid for a T-Rex startup, particularly when you didn't even have the blade tracking set! Hey! Don't think we didn't notice, man. Heh.
Oh yeah that was prob my review on the camera. Only prob (if you're a filmmaker) is it's 30fps, not 24. I'm hoping for a firmware update that allows 24fps. I used 135 f2, 24-70 2.8, and 15 2.8

Does the 5DMK II have AF during videomode?
noobhunter3000 2 years ago
you can, but it's slow and the lens will go wide open when you do it which brightens the image if you're not shooting wide open.

so that's my way of editing it in 24p... :)

This is awesome. I'm a filmmaker and considering buying this camera too -- heard this video mentioned on Amazon. What lens did you use?

Nice! What did you edit with? What was the resolution you uploaded to youtube at?
ennoxfentash 3 years ago
Sony product. Though any editor will work. uploaded it in 720 (1280x720). Source was 1080p.
