  • wat is this quadcopter called plz reply

  • This video should be called "The reason to go for an engineering degree"

  • Like nearly every cool advance in robotics, this research is being pursued with military applications in mind.

  • Aww... poor little guy tried so hard :3

  • TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So. Cool.

  • HKs in the making...

  • I believe it is time they do something more productive than make then juggle. Make them play badminton against each other.

  • If robots do take over the world, this is proof that even they can make mistakes, and we can find a way to overcome the robots!

  • Impressive yes. But will it blend?

  • I can stare at these things all day :)

  • But can it make a sandwich?

  • @Max5121 If you give it a grasper it probably could. Thats actually a great idea.

  • These things scare the crap out of me.

  • This is my new beer pong partner :D

  • Great. I want to build one of these now.

  • Amazing and Chapeau!

  • Brainbots! Prototype version. ;D

  • Heads up if you came here because of The One Show

  • @Mopantsu yup!

  • holy cripes....the beginning of the end is upon us.

  • The one on the left just isn't bringing his "A" game...

  • The beginning stages of the Aperture Science Lab... Damn You GLaDOS!!!

  • And the machines get one step closer to ruling the planet.

  • Nice

  • The nets are there to protect us... how long will they hold?

  • A Korean kid or Japanese kid already made this like 5 years ago and it's now 3 times better then this 1st model.

  • @ThooSuu no

  • So it begins....

  • @abandon12345 You see, this how the Terminators got started. Then they think for themselves and eliminate us...

  • Great..... now were one step closer to the terminator movies...............

  • @MrSlic333 - Thinkin the same Bro!!

  • @hairtai87 They think it's all games. Wait till one of them has a eye and A.I

  • fake and gay

  • @grant747 No.. it's quite real.. and straight.

  • @grant747 NO U!

  • controlled by remotes

  • name your price.

  • @austeritydidactic I think they are programmed and this is in zurich, switzerland!

  • wow

  • the infant stage of skynet robotics.....

  • @deadlywaterboy why do you think its a fake? The ETH zurich is one of the leading technology school on earth! They wouldnt fake anything.

  • Totakan malakand agency

  • because the ping-ponging robot technology much important than the brain-exploration :D:D:D

  • Oh sure it juggle balls today Head sometime tomorrow.!!!! Hunter killer

  • Are those controlled by controllers? Or are they programmed? Is this in the U.S?

  • so einen hätt ich auch gern

  • there just programming us so we think orbs are drones, duh

  • if my terminator dropped the ball, I would beat the fuck out of it!

  • the TERMINATORS are beginningto come!!!!! aaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!

  • Shit... Skynet robots that TOY with us like cats before KILLING us like mice!

  • Autonomy??

  • Get John Connor on the fucking phone NOW!!!

  • What are they

  • We must call John Connor.

  • @hopertriolan Very strange. I've given the same comment 11 months ago on the same video with name 'quadrocopter tennis'. Seems like you wanted to score there...

  • HOLY SHIT!!! That is seriously friggin cool man!! Any perceived sarcasm was unintended.

  • Aha wer is denn wegen Galileo hier?^^

  • wer wegen galileo hier ist like :D

  • @mgey383 your an idiot it was made by college students in SwItzerland. Go hump a tree u liberal pussy

  • @seanlacrosse5 Colleges in Switzerland are plenty liberal. You're both idiots....

  • yeah, fucking great. Probably cost hundreds of millions of taxpayer's dollars to have a fucking robot play ping pong. fuck this government and the goddammed military.

  • Comment removed

  • @mgey383 Zurich is not in America, dumbass! Why do you think investors often place their money in Swiss bank accounts? What, on earth, are you ranting about?

  • @mgey383 Human technology must be pretty unsophisticated if this ball juggling contraption cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Besides, why do you care? This is in Zurich...

  • When juggling with balls rotor copter has a problem the fans response time seems insufficient to balance the ball. The time it takes to move from peak height when fan speed is the lowest i.e. gravity pull is low because the fans are still slowing down not completely at stop in preventing a sudden drop down of the device. It can be managed placing one or two inverted fans on the device also accelerating required drop down increase response time.

  • @mdadnan or you simply use pitch control and have the fans spinning at max rpm all the time!

  • fuck the military. bring these to my local fitness center

  • today juggling, tomorrow skynet :(

  • s?

  • Thats fucking cool! I want one. Now.

  • @i7fan Me 2 man. Professional goof-offs like us, need some SKILLS:)

  • Just wait until our new robot overlords are juggling with our HEADS!

  • wow that's awesome!

  • Reminds me of Portal for some reason

  • man, humans are lazy. How long will it take until this is an official sport.

  • 0:50 Who else thought that the robot was shouting to itself "OH, GODDAMN IT!!"

  • @gredangeo or "bob sagget" or "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck" or "piisss!"

  • Awe... :D Der so cute :3

  • what does TROLL means :)

  • who plays better ping pong?

    these are so cool!!!!

  • They remind me of that movie "Batteries not included" for some reason.

  • amazing!

  • How long a single battery charge last?

  • theyre getting smarter -_-

  • @reaper9812

    smarter and smarter.

  • RIP Homo Sapiens. Read the description these are NOT human controlled. They are controlled by a computer and specially designed software. This is both incredible and frightening at the same time.

  • Alright next experiment, juggle me...

  • this shit is incredible

  • i want one

  • @MappleInstructables For the robot to communicate wirelessly to an external server, and then receive information would be too slow in this instance. I suspect it's all internal.

  • WooooooooooooW

  • Awesome!

  • swiss technology :)

  • Skynet.

  • The title is misleading...

  • Pong anyone?

  • Comment removed

  • The crazy thing is that it's not fake at all.

  • This ain't real!!! FUCKIN' IMPRESSIVE!!

  • Sick!,

  • Auch grad auf galileo gesehn !!!

    Krasse Sache ...

  • wer hat das gerade bei galileo gesehn ? :D

  • is kein fake wenn ses bei er ETH Zürich machen!

  • is kein fake!

  • Gucke gerade Galileo denke es ist echt ;)

  • Gugge grad galileo denke s isn fake

  • Galileo Fake Check :)

  • galileo :D

    german tv

  • jetzt grade auf galileo gesehen^^

  • Can anyone say Skynet Hunter Killer!!!

  • Shut the door!!

  • The pong of OUR generation!

  • Now I can play tennis alone?

    hm... brothers are so 2003

  • that's amazing man!

  • What if the racquets themselves could propel the ball higher. I mean as if the strings all tightened simultaneously when the ball touched them, would the propellors not have to work as hard? I'm not sure if that even makes sense.

  • @Jacobiskoby37 The energy and extra weight used for that kind of operation is not likely to be very efficient.

  • SPAAAAAAAAACE!

  • damn science, you crazy!

  • how mad do they get when they miss the ball.

  • Wow cool...i wish i cud hv something like this to play with my frnds

    .....!

  • 76 people are trolls.

  • @Wolfenion As simple as dat.

  • leaked alien tech into public sectors..

imagine what the secret government has....

no doubt the tech they have surpasses us so far they have splintered off into another civilization by now... living on mars n shit

  • @MaTchBoOkPoEt lolno

  • @lindholmaren lolyes

  • Can it make my dinner?

  • meh, this is impressive, but not that impressive

  • Maybe you will be interested in 'Coptersky' Brand its quadro, hexa, octocopter frames carbon made .. Check out. in google Coptersky

  • Epic!

  • nice one, my offer for you is 'coptersky' brand hexacopters, or octocopters

  • It's amazing how the robots are more complex!

  • now you can play Tennis or ping pong alone :)

  • Machines rule the world.

  • EPIC!!!!!!

  • that is SOOOOOOOOO COOL

  • 0:26 No! Bad quadrocopter!! Don't let the ball fall!! *slaps it with his newspaper*

  • I'd give it 5 years before they invent Manhacks.

  • @modestforagenius That would be fucking sick bro

  • i want 1 please

  • coool...very cool...

  • haha cool~

  • is this autonomous or are the robots being controlled

  • @JusticeGerbil i hava a feeling that it's easier to make it autonomous than to control a quadrocopter to juggle...

  • what a cute..

  • Dear Santa...

  • The guys who programmed this are going awaken one night to a sound. As their eyes adjust to the darkness, they'll gradually make out a shape...hovering ominously over their bed.

  • So ... Self playing pong....

  • That is friggin badassssss!!!

  • Nice. The copters would have more time to prepare for the next bounce if they reduced their ascent rate just before each bounce (or perhaps killed their ascent immediately a bounce is detected?).

  • how the hell are there 75 dislikes?

  • @esqueue Because they like to read comments like yours

  • ETHZ :)) MIT is a joke!! :))

  • wowowowowowow!

  • Two robots playing tennis and their ball boy is human. Something is very wrong here.

  • @Pengochan

In hundert years from now, this will be daily routine. So we better avoid making robots mad at us today.

  • @HermannRattenhuber as long as i can have my own mail system with out the need for government id be happy with robots

  • neat

  • Am I the only one just a bit terrified by this?

  • @R0ughKut yes, yes you are.

  • FUCKING SHIT

For now jokes about Skynet not funny for me anymore.

  • was hast du studiert?

  • What's the practicality of a Pentacopter or Hexacopter? I'd like to see a Schick/Gillette razor battle waged in the 'copter community.

  • wow, very impressive.
