One thing that sucks about this game is the whole platforming thing. I don't see why people compare this to Super Mario Galaxy (other than the whole outer space similarity), cause the 2D platforming here is really shitty. They should've stuck with 3D.

Not having played it yet, I can't say much but they game play looks pretty good. Although demos and execution are two totally different things so I won't judge. Level music has always been good but that's because Jun Senoue is just amazing. The theme song could be better but to people who hate it, it's a hell of a lot better then Heroes. :/ It at least fits the concept.

It's certainly looks a lot better then Unleashed which, to me, was a horrible. That game was almost as bad as Riders.

This game is great. I got it over a month ago in November. Its great. The models they used are appealing and the levels simply beautiful and the soundtrack is really good. The gameplay is far from sloppy. One level has music that reminds me of Final Rush (Is that the name?) from SA2B. For those of you fans who say Sonic isn't in good shape these days, give it a try. Its pretty great ^^

Of course, being mostly bug free, and the fact the Wisp gimmicks flow pretty well with the gameplay, works to the advantage of the game.

No.Each stage has a level gimmick and different stage design, the game has fast Momentum platforming and High Speed boosting with many multiple paths.

Their are areas where you can explore like the genesis sonic games.

Each level has a gimmick Unlike Unleashed.

Unleashed day time were all about Speed boosting and occasionally jumping.

in fact if you toke out boost from Unleashed, you would know how Fake the Thrill and QTE Adds to its Empty stage design.not to mention button mashing.

The boost is, in a sense, the thrill itself. It even changes the music tone slightly.

Yellow Springs, Purple light road chasing motobugs, Laser obstacles, Water Areas, the Candy in sweet mountain that Flips you too high if you boost to it, Rockets in sweet mountain act 1 and act 3, Rocks in asteroid coaster and Roller coaster.

The boost is a Thrill that makes the Empty game feels Full by thrilling you.

Sonic colors doesn't need the boost because its not Empty, its full of platforming and explorable areas and variety of level gimmicks.

I have also been a huge sonic fan most of my life. Since at least sonic two, though I mostly played tails lol. I have enjoyed watchign him evolve over the years, he may have had some rough patches, but in the end sonic is still sonic. This game and sonic 4 seem to have that OLD feel again.. Made me re dig out sonic mega collection plus and start brushing up on the old 2d skill set again^^ lol. You Sir/madam/whatever you are.. are a True fan of the games^^. SEGA!
