  • Hank was a REAL man with an unbelieveable talent...a man with problems like everyone else and to be in the public eye and not be afraid that people know you do have problems makes him stand out...look at the "stars" nowdays...they're told by agents to do this and that for your image.....fuck that...Hank was real....

  • HANK WILLIAMS JAN.4TH 1953 R.I.P. NEVER LEFT US AND WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, A SIGING POET,ARTIST ,FATHER, HUSBAND AND GRAND FATHER ......AND HERO WHO WILL ALWAYS LIVE FOR EVER IN OUR HEARTS ,SOULS AND MINDS.......

  • I suddenly have an urge to buy everything made by Mother's Best...

  • @margiebutti21 How much would you pay for that job? :))

  • why would anybody dislike this song?

  • @Zach8706 In Spain they are known as El Troll. Sad.

  • its funny how much shelton looks like his grandpa. (hank iii)

  • i think the statue of hank outside the opry should be stolen. please if you live in Tennessee go jack that statue. FUCK THE OPRY!!

  • @margiebutti21 The Opry hated Hank when he just a "drunk". It was only after he sold millions of records and tons of money that the assholes at the Opry said, "Oh, we loved Hank the whole time. It was just a misunderstanding". After his death, Hank was money to the Opry.. Screw the Opry....hypocritical bastards. That's the history. I was told that story by Hank Williams, Jr. If anybody knows, I guess Bocephus would be the guy.

  • What a beautiful voice & great song, i was going to say what a waste with him dying so young but i should instead celebrate the amazing volume of songs he left us with. I don't get this carry on about him & the opry on the comments on here. . So many non-country singers sung his songs but they never sang at the opry. You can NOT compare a person to a place but we should talk of both as GREAT parts of the history of country music. thank you for posting this

  • Written by the man who killed him...he's rolling over in his grave

  • I would have to say that nobody can compare to Hank. There's a lot of great musician's out there but nobody compares to Hank. Hank is truly one-of-a kind! You know, just listening to his music-you never get tired of it. All of his songs had a message that we can all learn from. I hear they say that Hank had many sides. I don't see that at all. Hank is easy to read. He's a real decent guy. Hank was a real giver! You can tell he sure loved kids. Isn't that what it's all about.

  • ...and his songs are still being covered, Nora Jones did "Cold, cold heart" and it was a hit. Just another tribute to this master's work.

  • he is the real thing, great singer, one of the best song writers.

  • Hank was as good or better than anything that came out of nashville. hank wrote and sang from his heart. no one in this day of 2011 will ever take his place. turn on the radio today and they all sound alike. hank, webb, lefty, carl, the louvins, and so many more were fantastic true country stars. Piss on the grand old opry if they don't recognize this great man, and piss on branson, you will never be nashville.

  • @ronKY40216 ........ I am not Hank , nor even close . I don't try to sound like him either . But I do have severall songs on Itunes . One is called " My Heart is Burning " . Its on the album " I Miss You " . Check it out please . I am James Greer , I am on FaceBook . egreer1@ec.rr.com

  • will i saw hank in 1948 in nashvilleat the opry t l c jonesboro, ark thanks hank

  • Amazing

  • Right on. Fuck the opry. I like all three Hanks just the way they are.

  • Hank Williams drank due to cronic back pain from being thrown from a horse. He passed away a couple of towns over from where I live.

  • great lyrics!!!

  • I lost men I was platoon leader each man i lost I loved I loved these men I went back to do my job sniper to take our enemy out. i have been this site several times and nobody has commented on any thing. I will defend my country again. If i was asked to. I am an old man with skills I would have taken out Osama Bin laden if i had the chance to. To protect our children and our country. Captain Rebel Thank You

  • @pugladykm52 - WORD!

  • @pugladykm52 your story sounds exactly like my great grandfather. he walked on omaha on the first day and walked all the way to berlin. thank you

  • What one among them didn't drink?? I love to hear Hank sing!they'd probably drink more than he did if they were in the pain the man was probably in!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hank Williams was the all time great if you don't think so you can kiss my ass

  • i agree about the opry they never wanted cash, or paycheck, and the great hank among many others the oprys a bunch of bs its third generation dont give a fuck from sir to the 3rd its had all three grace the stage and yet the cant seem to pay the same respect to make at least one of them a member so fuck the opry long live the legend and the 3rd in the making Hank Williams

  • time-less/brilliant

  • thanks for uploading this, you never get to listen to old time radio like this. It's incredible what Hank accomplished with the short time he was on this earth. He was only 29. WOW

  • I grew up listening to Hank on the radio.I knew the words to your cheating heart when i was 5 years old.He is still my favorite today

  • your the best hank. we love you.

  • I have two Heros Hank Williams and Ron Clarke. Both equal in my life

  • like his sons song say if you dont like hank williams YOU CAN KISS MY ASS

  • who ever dis likes them man should get their ass beat RIP buddy :)

  • @ChristianSoldier1944

You don't know squat, I'm a liberal and have liked Ole Hank more years than you have been suckin' air.

  • @TheLimberlostGirl Stop being a liberal and you'll be ok

  • Hank was going to get back on the Opry in Feb. if he had lived, he told Ray Price a couple days before he died ill be back up there with you before long

  • i am a brit and when i first heard Hank in 1965 i was in tears.the king of white blues.I still cry now.rest in peace Hank i love you

  • its not about what he did or did not do, its about the man and his music..and his legacy...he brought us one of the greatest country music singers to live, with his son....Hank Jr is carying on what his dad started

  • so pure is hanks singing i miss his songs RIP

  • HANK WILLIAMS WAS AN ALWAYS WILL BE THE GREATEAT SINGER THAT EVER LIVED,UNTIL HE RETURNS TO FINISH HIS JOURNEY.

  • They say that hank willams the 3rd sounds like him i dont think so no one will ever sound like this guy. I know he likes to sing lonely sad songs but thats all right this is the man who left home early and gave it his all in country music rip hank

  • he was just a drunk and was drunk when he died. but nobody will ever be better a signing I have heard him sing since I was 3 and have never stopped loving his song

  • GREAT SITE

  • Hank.........is he the begining or the end. rock and country

  • @Algotamelia YOUVE DEFINATELY GOT THAT RIGHT

YOU ARE ON THEE BEAM......OR THE LIGHT

  • was he a drunk did he beat his women and children like some do today or was he just drunk if that was his crime big deal

  • It does not matter what the Opry did or didn't do, in fact, it does not matter what mistakes that Hank made...Hank is the greatest that ever lived..NOTHING can change that.

  • @onemellow

    dude

i do not agree it is the other way round and yes i know he drank but at the time evreyone did it is the opry that missed something really speacil . sorry for the spelling .

    fr: shane

  • I don't really care if yall remove this comment or not, thumbs down, i really dont care.

Its called Forgive and Forget...This king of country music deserves to be with the best of the best as he was, and yall just gonna go "No, he drank and got kicked out, lets not vote him back in." It makes me sick that you all judged the man that made Country Music popular. He deserves to be with his freinds at WSM, and you all know it.

  • @nascar1111 you are 100 percent right he is the inventor of country i think him and red sovine

  • Considering that memorial day is coming up this is such an awesome song to listen to. I've had friends and family lose their lives in various wars and this song always reminds me of the sacrifice they made.

  • I really loved this song by Hank Williams!!!!!

  • the opry has sinned

  • to hell with the opry. hank loved it though so i know hank would love to be back amongst his own.they dont deserve hank.its like not letting elvis presley in the rock'n'roll hall of fame its just not right thats all you cant listen to hank and not feel every emotion he portrays

  • What a great song!! That man was a God.

The USA have given us so much wonderful music, but none more so than Hank (equalled only by Bob Dylan )

  • every song a pleasure

  • Great great sound & pics, thanks for posting.

  • Hi This is another song I never heard Hank sing. But it's anothe favorite.God Bless.Eddie

  • hank williams el mejor cantante country de toda la historia..............lo mejor de lo mejor

  • We know all about Hanks life and its ups and down but it seems to me that most people with such talen have a torid lifestyle. In many avenues of history there are those who make a mark and in the history of music he is certainly one of those. It matters not whether he is in the Opry or not he is Hank and he is bigger than that, he is the entertainer, the song writer and the personality whether for good or bad and we have to accept both.

  • Hank is head & shoulders above the Opry

  • I personally don't want Hank in the opry, if he wasn't good enough for them in his lifetime than he doesn't belong. Don't disgrace Hanks name by placing him somewhere he wasn't welcomed and wouldn't like what they've come to represent anyways. not disrespecting hank disrespecting the opry,

  • It pissed me off to see his picture hanging in the new Opry House, big as hell. Exploiting Hank now when they didn't want him back then is unforgiveable.

  • @ouray09 I just wish the Opry would quit using his image an music to promote itself when they kicked him out in the first place

  • @ouray09 i aree the opry has changed greatly. i studied a bit about his life and apparently he did not even like being there. "there slicing me up and selling me like bologna." he belongs in the hall of fame because he was the greatest. i only disagree about the statement saying if he wasnt good enough. he was fired because he wasnt showing up. he simply wasnt happy and didnt like it

  • @ouray09 He was to good for the Opry same for Cash

  • @catsmithyu I absolutely agree with you. Hank Sr and Johnny are my two favorite singers of all times. No one will ever replace nor come close to either of the two.

  • @ouray09 who needs the opry? pfffffffffffffffffffffffffff............

  • this is awesome- my opinion is that hank sr. is the greatest, most awe-inspiring country artist who ever graced this earth. TO THE GRAND OLE OPRY: RE-INSTATE HANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hanks music represents him, no need for sum recognition from self righteous opry, poor bastard was violently raped, metaphorically of course

(i know i'm no good with words, but fuck it)

  • this is a great song by hank sr

do you also have some of his

mother best shows i do and there is a lot of great songs on the shows
