I remember an episode of the Edison Twins where one of their friends got involved in a get rich quick investment scheme and was trying to get the cash together to buy into it. Anyhow it turned out to be a pyramid scam (ponzi scheme) and the cops shut down the investment firm selling it. In any event they explained what a pyramid scam was and why it can't work since it relies on geometric growth, each new investor needs to bring in two friends. Maybe more people should have watched this program?

This was an OK show, and I watched it as a teenager, but frankly I thought a similar show, The Adventures of Shirley Holmes, was much more sophisticated and mature 10 to 15 years later. That's surprising, given the crap that's been airing since the mid '90s.
