Masuda-san he told me he had quite a few songs ready to go ( their live show is a full set too so it makes sense) and I have a feeling they will be laying down tracks soon! and started up AXEWIELD. They are now a three piece and have already played quite a few shows with an excellent response. One of the first shows they played was with Guillotine terror and Zilemma (ex-mental disease) and they absolutely rocked!!!! they are similar to Effigy and utilize twin vocals again but are even more dark and heavy. Sure! Effigy broke up about a year or so ago. Basically the other guitar/vocalist just became too busy and couldn't commit anymore. It was an amicable break. At the same time Effigy lost their other guitarist due to other commitments as well which left them with 2 members. Mad Grinder Masuda (bass, vocal, long hair) and Kakuta (drumming madman)

instead of trying to reform Effigy, they decided to do something new and formed "AXEWIELD" they found another guitarist (who fucking shreds by the way).

Effigy has just risen from the ashes to form a new dark sound!!! they are now called "AXEWIELD" and have already played a few shows! They will have a track out soon on a comp here in Japan as well as touring with HELLSHOCK for the Shikoku leg of their upcoming Japan tour. HELL YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
