  • its hard to think like greeks.i am not saying that because i am greek but its really hard to understand the frase KILL OF GET KILLED that spatans' mothers always say when their sons have to fight. So nobody can award a man because he broke ones leg of hand or anything else.He should be completely dead to win (in my opinion)

  • @CounterTerroristGR are you suggesting to fight eachother to death in sports?

  • pEOPLE LIKE KATIE TRY TO SPREAD FALSE PROPAGANDA THAT PANKRATION IS THE ORINGAL FORM IT IS THE OLDEST FORM OF GREEK BUT NOT THE WORLD AS SHUAI JIAO IS THE OLDEST AND THEN KALARIPAYATTU WHICH WAS FOUND BEFORE ALEXNEDER(GAY) THE GREATEST DICK SUCKER CONQUER INDIA

  • Παγκράτιον

    Pankration

Η αρχαιότερη αυθεντική Ελληνική πολεμική τέχνη

The oldest original Greek martial art

  • Where is Pankration?

  • before he lost , i was just thinking about how bad the guy in black sucks.

  • omg idiot pankration is the hardest sport pankration is something amazing

  • this is a comedy........

  • 17 hit kung-fu and 9 hit karate efficience at maximum expression win karate

  • @parzifal2 kung fu is a copy from pankration with added japanese or chinese bullshits

  • powned!

  • love how most karate people in these kinds of tournaments cant even take a fucking slap to the face without having timeout... karate is such fucking bullshit IMO

  • @thatkindofguy234 Have you ever trained Kyokushin? The calls are up to the ref. not the fighter. Kyokushin is one of the most ruthless and brutal forms of Karate and when you're in a tournament, they do not stop the fight for anything other than penalty or knockdown - I trained Kyokushin for 6 years and the fights were brutal. Though, I partly agree with you; there are far more effective forms of MA than Karate... Taekwondo kicking styles trump Karate any day.

  • shuai jiao is the earliest form of grappling/wrestling and is consider the oldest form of martial arts rivialing kalaripayattu known but non-east oriental as the mother of ma but there are theories that shui jiao spread to greece and evolve into pankration...fyi china is older then greece and the chance they had other MA older then shuai jiao is possible

  • they're both pussies

  • I only saw Karate...And the Kung fu guy was below standard, he looked like a beginner with bad habits (dropping guard)

  • This is JEWjitsu

  • Thanks to Pankration, martial arts was created. This was done through Alexander's conquest and expansion to the east.

  • @xathanaric Really? Myths and legends aside, I read that the earliest references of Chinese martial arts go as far back as 5th century BC, at least two hundred years before Alexander's campaign. Of course, I'm not ruling out the possibility that pankration might've had an impact on the development of kungfu.

  • i have done pankration all my life. YOU SIR are an idiot

  • dudes this was not nearly to pagration, where are the graplings, the takedowns etc.?

  • in all fairness it was a pretty cool K.O.

  • Comment removed

  • i am from greece and the guy who wear white he play pankration guys......lol what kiyokushin karate..... axaxaxa

  • Comment removed

  • why is there hebrew in the background 0:20-0:27

  • @hulksmashize because this is in israel. but this is not pagkration

  • ... y dont all of u guys read the uploader comment, the fight was stand up only. in other news, when i saw the pankration guy do the spinng heel kick, i almost pissed out of my eyes

  • ... y dont all of u uys read the uploader comment, the fight was stand up only. in other news, when i saw the pankration guy do the spinng heel kick, i almost pissed out of my eyes

  • Pankration is not just different but other......

  • the black fighter use only push kick from pangration nothink else....pangration in not only this...!!!

  • Where is pankration fighter? i see only kunfu and karate fighters. Pankration fighter usually use grappling+striking technics, and he must win kungfu or karate fighters in few minutes

  • i noticed a common problem in these fighting vids, one of the fighters isnt doing their style right...

  • this video shows different levels of training. the fighter in black seems not to be use to fighting full contact, but only in light sparring matches. the fighter in white just walks forward, and throws his punches and kicks hard. he knows not to pull back. it seems the fighter in white has practiced more realistic.

  • maybe people should read the comment from the guy that posted the video before you make stupid comments

  • its not pankration, pankration fighter would take down that guy.

  • o xristos kai i panagia ean einai dinaton pagratio me zones kai xoropidita eleos vre seis eleos tha trizoun ta kokala ton pagratiaton

  • @arraxion polu sosta ta les re filaraki!!!

  • That is kiyokushin karate!!

    Ossu!!!

  • that's kyokushin vs kung fu. And ofcourse kyokushin guy won.

  • This is Kung Fu (guy wearing black) versus Karate (guy wearing kimono).

The Kung Fu guy is a true begginer. He do the same kick all time, and his guard was opened every time.

  • my momma says to much pankration and you'll go blind

  • What competition was this?

  • Homer is right you baka shit.

  • That's not pankration, it's kiyokushin karate...

  • @werboweckjybahamut it's right...not is pankration

  • @werboweckjybahamut

    absuly not kyokushin karate

    what's is ?????

  • @werboweckjybahamut Yup. Kyokushin Kai Kan - not prankration. Though, this fighter is disobeying the first rule in Kyokushin sparring... keep your hands in front of your face and never take your eyes off of your opponents eyes... especially if your up against kung fu.

  • @werboweckjybahamut IT MAY BE THIS BUT KUNG FU IS 80% GENERATED BY PANKRATION

  • @TheMitsaras98 BULLSHIT KUNGFU IS NOT 80 % GENRATED FROM PANKRATION AND GREEK DIDNT EVEN HAVE A STANDING CHANCE OF COMMING TO CHINA BACK THEN ESPECIALLY TO TAKE THE CHINESE ONE THIS IS A PROPAGABDA BY WHITE/WESTERNER NATIONALIST WHO ARE DILLUSIONAL AND BELIEVE EVERYTHING THEY COPY WAS INVENTED BY THEM

  • @asian714cali man im greek too and i know that the pankration was originally made from spartans (kill or get killed) i dont know if you heard this but the mothers of the kids were holding them and when they were 7 yold the army were taking them and their mother was saying (with her or on her) ή ταν ή επί τας which means you will come with the shield or on her (dead) chinese and japanese people werent barbarians like them to create a martial art like this

  • @TheMitsaras98 yes i bet you nationlist about it too..enough not to see greek is going down again......but anyway as for pankration kill or be kill it is a sport serious enough to take it to that level however only some would take kill or be kill in pankration not all and second pankration today is not the same as in the past most off it is modify modern version

  • @TheMitsaras98 yeah we were worse and as for who was born into millitary every single child that was in the sammurai class was born to train to be a smmurai when the reach an early age of 5 or 6 and be given fake sword to play with at 3 and all the son will go to war with their father and caught ina dirty deed they willl commit seppuku a ritual sucide..of course you cant become a samurai you are born one

  • @TheMitsaras98 the chinese regardless of ages always send peoplee to fight and back in the early han age their was a large conscription of soldier and they will fight to the death the grave yard is full of villager who built it but in the chinese soldier mind was too "weak" to surivive day and night build a dam wall so they all get buried and alot of the emporere tomb builder are killl too by soldier when they are done building

  • @asian714cali i meant soldier buried the villager

  • Comment removed

  • no knee and elbow strikes aswell :)

  • i do practice pankration and this is not it. no grapling no takedowns nothing this is total bullshit

  • ur 1000 percent right. totally agree

  • where can one learn real pankration? im very interested but i may just do krav maga and greco roman wrestling and judo

  • @Avalon82465 I agree, I did pankration for 7yrs. and this looks nothing like it.

  • @Avalon82465 ITS CHANGED ITS NOT THE ORIGINAL ANCIENT GREEK SPORT ANYMORE IN SPARTA EVERY MOVE OF IT WAS IMMEDIATE AND DEADLY

  • more like fagation

  • Thats not a very good way to recruit people into your martial art. Two 'blackbelts' look like clueless kids messing around at the park jump kicking each other and flailing around.

  • Which one is supposed to represent pankration cause none of them are doing it. in fact i don't even see kung fu.

  • this isn't pagration!!!in pagration you can't hit under the belt i think...

  • pankration means no strikes above the colar bone

  • pankration comes from pan and kratos 2 greek words retard it means all and powers so the translation is all powers thats what the name of pankration means

  • HO BOY...

  • That's a terrible display of Pankration.

  • It is a terrible display of kung fu as well.

  • I think this is the more stupid fight a never see. Pankration? I think you have a lot confusion in your head!

  • the both arent good at fighting!!

  • indeed yamoooon

  • hi to all, this fight was inthe pankartion nationa championship in israel, the blak fighter was a kung fu practicioner and the withe fighter was the national champion in pancartion with same kyokushin background.this fight wasonly stand up fight.

  • it was a good performance from the pankration/ kyokushin guy!

  • @robys12 can you repeat that? Only this time with better spelling.

  • omg this sint pankrtion looks nothing like the greek martial art dude wtf?

  • robys12, it's obviously not kungfu, i doubt if it's pankration... and i started to doubt if you know the differences between men and women, too.

next time before you have sex, you need to ask your partner's gender, and make sure you don't fuck the wrong gender.

  • this vid has nothing to do with pankration.

  • lol definitely not Pankration

  • That's not pankration and I doubt that's Kung Fu either. I think is Karate vs dont know what.

  • haa i agree with the first part of what XguitrfreekX said but karate is absolutely horrible in everything if want to learn how to strike take jeetkunedo or muay thai or just mma

  • If that guy was really a Pankration practitioner, he would have been smart and taken it to the ground, because Karate is a very devastating martial art in the field of striking.

  • fcuk no is that pankration

  • That Kyokushin guy could really take a beating and not even flinch. The guy in black looked like he knew kung fu to me.

  • karate originated from okinawa and they developed it from chinese wushu so zero2562130 shan shou is not a wannabe art, besides its nothing like karate its more like muay thai.

  • pagration is the right name..it is a greek ancient fighting style..they used this style 2500 years before..u can check this to the coin of that period and in many sculps...macedonia is in greece motherfucker..MACEDONIA IS GREEK.LEARN HISTORY

  • Re its Pankraton or Pankration PAN(meaning ALL) KRATON (meaning Power or powers ie techniques)

ie. anything goes all powers patrioti mou.

And you're right Macedonia is Hellenic, let them talk shit it means nothing.

  • @ Campos.

Go watch the videos of Shaoline kung fu. Kyokushin cannot stand against a real kung Fu fighter. It may be powerful but dull and slowest in the world. that spin kick can be handled with a kick in the groin before it lands. Understand?

  • Don't be so sure, ResidentNinja, Kung Fu San Soo, (pronounced Sahn-show) is alot like Karate; gi and everything. But then again, San Soo is basically just living in Karate's shadow (a.k.a Wanna-be) just thot i'd point that out. cool vid

  • o briguinha feia vill!!!

da vontade de entrar e bater nos dois!!kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • The guy in the white was doing Kyokushin Karate, and I'd assume the guy in black is doing Pankration.

There is NO Kung Fu in here at all.

  • this is not kung fu!

  • kung fu guy is an idiot he dont know real kung fu

  • Dude your an idiot tjnee88 pankration does come from greec hence the term means all powers in greece it was just not heard of because the art of pankration hasnt been practice when rome entered it's "Christian Age" dumb ass pankrations combines both wrestling and boxing in fact if you look at old scluptures of the romans and greeks it has the fighters both kicking and punching get your facts straight!

  • first none of these guys are doing kung fu, kung fu is Chinese and this is clearly karate which is Japanese and what u think is "kung fu" is movie choreography and we don't use gloves, kung fu practitioners use everything and fingers are just as important. the Kung Fu you see is Wu Shu which was ordered to be created by chairman mao in china to dilute real kung fu. There are also many restricted rules in tournaments that limit kung fu fighters because they are deadly.

  • yes , this guy do fight kung fu, but what can we do if kung fu suck ? oh yeah its beautifull but sry guys its not for fighting, and many kung fu pro have alrdy been beaten in the beggining of the UFC, even Bruce Lee direct disciples, so sry...but it do suck..

  • there were no kung fu masters in the first ufc. if there are rules, then it is not kung fu. i dare you to put me in your gaurd if groan strikes are legal. i'll just rip some nuts off. gouge the eye. break the finger. go for the throat. bite. jiujitsu only works when there are rules.

  • Jujutsu works really well if theres no rules, maby some of the ground fighting dosent but when it was invented the samurai were wearing armor and a take down in full armor is a devistating move, impact is horrable and hard to get back up. In jujutsu real life you dont half do the submissions till tap out, you break the bones then kill them.

  • Classical Jiu-jitsu for the samurai (I never knew it existed until someone started teaching it at the nearby university). UFC was all Gracie/Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. The Classical Jiu-Jitsu instructor said if we wanted to fight MMA/UFC style then BJJ is the class we want, not Classical Jitz. Makes sense because Classical Jitz trains weapons too. And that's the extent of my knowledge about either, sadly.

  • Modern Jujutsu dosent train weapons, and Judo is kinda like Jujutsu but is better for modern fights,it removes all the moves that require weapons and physical strength. But its more directed tward standing fighting, takedowns and stuff.MMA guys want grappling on the ground, submissions and stuff.I havent looked into bjj, but bjj and Judo are branches of jujutsu.I recomend if your gonna learn a style, train in its roots and orgins alittle, it will make more sence. Theres no substitut for the basics

  • Don "The Dragon" Wilson made the same stupid argument about eye-gouging. But just imagine the BJJ guy tying you up then gouging the hell out of YOUR eyes and stomping on YOUR balls. It's still all about the athlete and how well he/she trains all the different styles. And every competitor trains for the same competition rules.

If Kung-Fu practises grappling then it's not stereotypical Kung-Fu anymore.

If Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu starts biting and eye-gouging then it's not BJJ anymore.

  • Actually switchdrift, Kung fu traditionally incorporates grappling, joint locks, and stand up fighting. So technically kung fu that practices grappling is true kung fu. In this fight, the kung fu practitioner is really not that good. Whatever style he is training in, he should reconsider.

  • Come to think of it, after a second look, I am not sure that the guy in all black is even a kung fu practitioner, perhaps a karate style that claims to be close, not too sure. He's not that good. Also I question whether the guy in white is even a pankration stylist, just my opinion.

  • anyone who needs a dick in a gi to teach them how to bite someone is a retard

  • that statement makes no sense, you obviously have never studied martial arts.

  • i was replying to a guy who said that kung fu is more effective then bjj cause you can bite, my point is anyone who knows bjj (unless they have no teeth) is able to bite, you dont need someone to teach you how... if that doesnt make sence to you then please enlighten me with your infinite martial arts wisdom

  • what doesnt make "sence" is biting has nothing to do with BJJ, i train Jiu Jitsu not that Jiu Jitsu and BJJ really have anything in common but my sensei has never once taught us "oh here is where you bite somebody" there in lies the bullshit in your statement.

  • im gonna try and make myself as clear as possible because you dont understand what im saying.

does BJJ teach you how to bite? no.

are people who do BJJ capable of biting? yes.

  • then what the fuck is the point of the comment? biting isnt the most use full way of self defense, obviously you have to be in extremely close to bite somebody. you still make no sense at all.

  • lol, oh my god man, either your not even trying or your too stuborn to admit you misinterpreted my comments.

im not going to repeat myself, in the several comments iv written i make my point very clearly. if you still dont know what im saying then just leave it, its not even a big deal.

  • @homer091 Oi, I get it

  • Whoever thinks that "Pankration" is a "martial art" from ancient Greece, Macedonia, or Rome is a complete, uneducated troglodyte. Greeks/Romans/Macedonians engaged in wrestling (very formalized rules) and boxing (also very formalized rules). The two were SEPERATE. "Pankration" is just a 20th cent construct; more people need to attend college at some point in their lives.

  • Dude your an idiot tjnee88 pankration does come from greece hence the term means all powers in greece it was just not heard of because the art of pankration hasnt been practice when rome entered it's "Christian Age" dumb ass. Pankration combines both wrestling and boxing in fact if you look at old scluptures of the romans and greeks it has the fighters both kicking and punching get your facts straight!

  • Wow you're an idiot. Please look it up in an encyclopedia.

  • went to college. took a greek class. learned about pankration. so i'm not so sure what you're talking about.

  • Pancartion comes from greece not rome...pan=all, cration=force. The Alexander's soldiers practiced this art and transfered it to India...

  • tsc tsc other fake video kung fu

  • both are shit.

  • Pankration is a martial art that originated in Rome. It's fighting techniques are suprisingly similar to chinese sanshou. It has submissions, takedowns and punches and kicks. Western boxing was derived from pankration punching techniques. And just because that guy did a fancy movement doesn't make it kung fu.

  • it did not originated from rome it first came from the greeks. Before you send a hateful comment do your research before you do

  • Lol yeah. Crap Fu? I dont think anyone could beat a pro in kung fu. And totally not with swords/staff fights lol. And wtf? Is it the kung fu's first day? It isnt even kung fu. Its just simple kicks lol. Respect to all sports btw

  • JUST FYI...

There is NOTHING Pankration about this guys style, Pankration is basically just submission fighting, generally a mix of jiu jitsu and muay thai, neither of which are reflected here

  • umm i never heard of pankration lol

  • why couldnt they punch, wheres the grappling?

  • This isn't pankration.

  • OMg i cant beleive this first of all that is not chinese kung fu...or real kung fu second its a brown martial art KYOKUSHIN ROCKS

  • ok i'll take my pankration nowplease

  • it ain't crap fu u japanese bitch. just some bitch goofing off. homie the clown could of kick his ass too!

  • It was obvious the karate practioner was far superior than the crap fu boi.

  • That was pathetic. Obviously neither of those two knew what they were doing.

  • Where the frigs the Pankration?

  • He (the white uniform) knocked his ass out with a spinning hook kick.

  • so many advantages when u fight with ur hands at ur waist... u have a better chance of having ur oppenent break there body parts on ur skull...
