  • Nice body of work, Wendy! This is great. How lucky are we to be able to use good old Windows Movie Maker and do up a show of our work, add some aging process and titles, and bingo...we can show it to the world. Keep up the good work!!

  • Thanks for the nice comment Caren. Yeah, I've got a thing for crows, ravens etc... They are very mystical, ominous and intelligent birds, the possibilities for symbollism is great.

    anyways i likes a lot.

  • Thanks, this painting was actually inspired by a much larger painting done by another artist that you might have seen in stores. Good eye, no one has noticed that before

  • Jen, Thank you for the lovely comment. I would love to hear more about your life as an art student and the artwork you produce for school, maybe in your next video?

    Take care,Wendy

  • Really enjoyed your artwork. I'm an art-student and I often let myself get too bogged down with detail and stress about obtaining realism, but your works are so free and un-inhibited. thanks for the inspiration. I will subscribe and look forward to your future works. from Jen

  • Great Art : D . looking forward to more

    God bless you

  • Thanks, I'm glad you think so, I always feel that I'm struggling with colour therefore I keep forcing myself to try new things. I guess something's working.

    Thanks, Wendy

  • You really know how to use colour...

I wish I could think more about colours, I get too caught up in the subject matter and have the painting half done and then have to fix up a heap of thinks that don't work.

Thanks for sharing, the music was really cool too, went with your paintings well.

  • Thanks Stephy, I did the background first in Midnight Moon, I made the sky and moon all whispy and used some silver metalic paint on the moon. The tree itself is made by mixing colours of paint (ie black, grey and brown) with a heavy acrylic gel medium. Then using a pallete knife to slowly build up the bark letting each layer of medium dry before aplying another one on top,one colour per laver. The song in my vid is from Across the Universe.Love that movie!

Thanks for the nice commment, Wendy

  • i like your artwork it's so cool. I like the red in Bamboo Forest. I also i like Fiery Forest. My favorite one is Midnight Moon. How did you do it. Is the song strawberry fields is it the movie version "across the universe" or the beatles?

  • Hi Carla, Thank you for the nice comment. Ya, I think we have a similar style too. I love that weathered, textured look.

    Wendy

  • Hi Wendy, congratulations with your first one. The use of colors and material is close to my works sometimes, and of course I like it ;)

  • Thank you Klaas, I'm a nature nut too.

    Wendy
