Bowden was one of college football all time great coaches. It has always been more then a game to him. But it well understood by everyone except Bobby, it is time for him to retire. They really need to stop sticking these microphones in front of coaches/players during halftime or immediately after the game. They're emotional during these times and some of the time will say things they end up regretting. And to top it off these halftime and postgame interviews don't do much for me. "Uh coach kind of adjustments are you going to make for the 2nd half?" "We need to get back to the basics and quit making dumb mistakes." Yeah that really adds a lot.

First off FSU is not 'you' and ND is not 'me.' I'm not coming at this from some dumbass fan's perspective like you. In fact I hate ND and respect Bobby Bowden (at least compared to most the big names). I'm simply smart enough to understand that if you have two one loss teams and the one team beat the other team head to head (convincingly) then that team deserves the championship even if it was at home. ...And as for that 2 weeks to prepare stuff. FSU played freaking weak ass Maryland the week before. They beat em 49-20 in Maryland. I'm pretty damn sure that FSU was preparing for Notre Dame for a month after the Miami game so that's just not a real excuse. And calling it a one touchdown game when ND went up 31-17 with a minute 39 really makes it sound a lot closer than it was. I watched the game. ND kicked ass.
Moral of the story. ND was the real 93 champ and the system has been rigging championships before it was known as the BCS. The BCS was just an excuse for them to rig it and execs and certain schools to steal more of the money in the process.
Also, the BSU team ND lost to was really as good as anyone that year. They lost 3 games by 12 points. They really need to stop sticking these microphones in front of coaches/players during halftime or immediately after the game. They're emotional during these times and some of the time will say things they end up regretting. And to top it off these halftime and postgame interviews don't do much for me. "Uh coach kind of adjustments are you going to make for the 2nd half?" "We need to get back to the basics and quit making dumb mistakes." Yeah that really adds a lot.

As for Bama (who is my personal choice), we get to see what LSU does outside Death Valley and we get Auburn at Jordan-Hare (where we'll get to shut them up about last year).
My guess is that whoever wins LSU vs. Bama will take the title.

As Charlie Ward put it... You beat us by a touchdown at home with 2 weeks to prepare.. Your loss was to a lesser ranked team at home.

...And as for that 2 weeks to prepare stuff. FSU played freaking weak ass Maryland the week before. They beat em 49-20 in Maryland. I'm pretty damn sure that FSU was preparing for Notre Dame for a month after the Miami game so that's just not a real excuse. And calling it a one touchdown game when ND went up 31-17 with a minute 39 really makes it sound a lot closer than it was. I watched the game. ND kicked ass.

I actually quote you these stats from memory b/c I know exactly how confoluted the media was when they automatically gave the championship to FSU w/o any f'ing debate. I watched this whole game and it was a reasonable complaint by Bowden. I've been watching FSU football for 20 years and I've never seen him do that so I think it was justified. However, I was surprised there were NO holding calls on FSU in the second half but you know how the refs like their make-up calls.
