Spend you're time fighting the real enemy of fast fried shit and a culture of laziness. Steroids like any other drug can be destructive if abused, but compare that to the millions dead or dying from obesity related diseases and it's really a non-issue. If a few like Coleman or Cutler want to use roids to be the best at what they do it's their bodies and their choice. If anyone believes they reached the size they are by taking protein supplements alone then they choose to deceive themselves.
I had a civics teacher this past year who took steroids when he was younger and now he looks like a 100 years old and can barely walk, he's very fragile and can only see out of 1 eye because he has RP. he's only like 60 something though. Steroids are more advanced now, but I know I will never take them because I've saw what it can do to you
@YyJoBb truly i dont think ur ganna grow taller bro ...how tall are u ?.... hey when u cant grow taller grow wider bro lol some of the best bodybuilders are short
Yeah, That kid died because he was too young to be on anti-depressants. I went on Straterra for 3 months and I nearly killed myself. Thank god my parents were home. Now that drug you mentioned on the film Bigger, Faster, Stronger has a black label now stating suicidal thoughts are a side effect.
Hootens were and are fucking idiots. Soooooooo many people know why people commit suicide after they are dead, but before that they dont know shit. Funny how that works, truth is that it dies with the individual that kills themselves. Only way to relay it to you would be a letter.
Why is it that the Government bans steroid use but continues to allow alchohol and tobacco products These are proven to cause death, but they allow adults to make a choice...Then why can we not make a choice about steroid and hgh use also?
There was a harshness and heavy handed point of view in the documentary I didn't like. The treatment of Paul Sullivan (lived in his van, his life centered on training at Gold's Gym) was particularly unkind. I believe the father of the teen who killed himself, Frank Marrero, would have a much better perspective on the cause of his son's problems than Chris would.
@RHP444 you would think but if you watch it his father doesn't want to see the light that it was his sons depression which he had before juice is what caused him to kill himself his father however well he means is going after the wrong culprit
in britain we get needles and syringes for free with a nice fancy booklet explaining where to inject and how to do it safely and advice on how to use our steroids safely! woop woop
Smoking and Alcohol kill more people a year than steroids, I was watching the documentary and I think they said that the average steroid related death was 1 person!
@nbakiki23 totally agree with you. Theres about 30 thousand people die each year through ilnesses related to smoking and the same with alcohol ive not heard anyone die through taking steroids.
Funny thing I thought about is if it was so easy for us to be decieved all our lives about something as simple as steriods. I mean seriously in this world you won't know shit unless you actually do your own research honestly I don't know who's trustworthy anymore the world is full of deception
@tom91775 its not all for image peoplpe feel its a way to make yourself the best you can possibly be. It allows you to push your body to its limits. A reason from the movie was if you can lift like 100 more lbs. by taking a pill why not if you can make yourself the best you can be why not do so.
@tom91775 No actually speding and steriods are different. Most cases speeding will cause accidents steriods hasn't proven fatal at all. Alchohol and ciggarettes perfectly legal but they cause the deaths of thousands a year steroids had an average of 3. It's not a case of some statistically this isn't even a percentage of the populace you can't say that it should be banned. The govt. has problems with steriods morality but won't admit it there are no high risks for the substance

I wish you were right, OpenSight. unfortunately for me, im 5'9, and im half asian.I have the testosterone levels of a 3 year old girl and at 19, my wrist size is 5.2 inches.needless to say that I was unable to gain a pound of muscle despite 3 years of training and I cant even bench press my own weight, which is 135 pounds.when i told my doctor I wanted testosterone, he laughed in my face...and i hear its of no social value? Right now there's a law telling me I cant be a man. I do not accept it.
As I said, I refuse to make some underground drogue lord fatter for a substance that should be legal(the FDA was against its initial banning in the Bush Sr years). Consider me a Don Quichote of sorts, as I am fighting mills of unfathomable size...
I have one word for you: Hope. See England and Mexico. If stars would fight actively for their rights, mentalities would softly change. If every star bodybuilder, baseball star, football, sprinter would do steroid activism, im sure over time we could convince stubborn religious fascist politicians that steroids cause more harm banned than if they were legal with a powerful restriction system(cigarettes).
Nevermind, they already know that, but the american people do not. Lets show them!!!
I see your point but it isn't going to happen is it. The politicians are representatives of the people and everybody everywhere knows steroids are bad for your body.
damn dude that sucks. next time don't ask for test specifically. just ask if they can bring your hormone levels up to normal and usually they will help u out. if they refuse get a new doctor because hes an ass.
No, actually it is not. First of all, I dont live in usa, i live in canada. In canada, DHEA is illegal, and all products CLOSE to mimicking testosterone are made illegal(they are even planning to ban herbal supps). I was reading journals of canadians buying steroids online, and it has discouraged me greatly(they have to place a money order from outside canada, make sure they are not traceable, use xray-proof paper for customs, etc). Trust me, its NOT easy.
@XoxFrankieReyesxoX i watched it on megavideo, but it's shit, unless ur a premium memeber, u can only watch like 70 minutes or something and you have to wait ages until u can watch it again.
here's a tip, once your viewing time has expired, keep hitting the reload button on your browser, over and over, it will reset the player, and you can watch movies again immediately on megavideo.
yeah, just make sure you keep hitting the reload button quickly, before the display has time to reset, and at the very least, it will reduce the time that you have to wait to watch another movie; most of the time you can eliminate the wait time altogether. I came upon the trick by happenstance, I was watching a really good movie, and the player cut off on me right in the middle of a good scene, I got pissed off and just kept hitting the reload button, low on behold, it worked.
i know they arent going to be legal as long as fuckin joe biden and hooten. And why do i think i need them? i dont. im a 19 year old soon to ship out to marine boot camp, so even if i wanted to, i cant.
So what if others say its easy? the point is i shouldnt have to risk my health or going to jail because some punkass kid might use it. speeding endangers everyone on the road. When used resposibly, steroids dont harm anyone. If people dont want athletes doing steroids, then test them in the off season when they actually are using. If people dont want kids using steroids, Have sports coaches educate them and make it illegal to sell to teens.
banning the general public from using a substance just because an athlete or a kid might get to it isnt right. Anyone who wants it bad enough will find a way to get it. All banning steroids does is make it harder for the responsible adults who arent even athletes to get a hold of it.
@weightlifter210 true, i know i have 3 guys at my gym i can get it from, but thats my point. i shouldnt have to go to "dealers" and risk getting arrested for something that hasnt even been proven to be harmful. and even if it were who the fuck are these wrinkled prunes up in dc to tell me what i can and cant do with my body...
The same damn prohibitionist bullcrap. Its like gun prohibition in Canada: the bad guys always end up getting what they want. Same thing w roids and sports: while top notch athletes have their gear for their sport's sake, we cant obtain it legally. Not only is it ineffective for what its supposed to protect, but it harms me, the honest, naive, less than average guy. I want to weight 200 pounds, and i cant do it without making underground drug lords fatter. And that is totally unacceptable.
Good point, no EXCELLENT point... I know what you mean, I feel the same way! BUT you should have no problem weighing 200lbs fairly lean naturally unless you are shorter then I'd say 5'9. I'm no trying to be a dick I'm just saying 200lbs was a bad example, lets bump that up to 250!
Im going to ask you one question: why should the people suffer from professional sports banning? 85 per cent of steroid users are non-athletic users(source Bigger Stronger Faster), which means that a very vast majority is penalized by irrelevant laws(by irrelevant i mean "that dont apply", we are not in sports). Why not ban steroids only for athletes then, instead of all of us? And by the way alcohol and tobacco are way more dangerous than steroids will ever be( 1,5 millions deaths). Ban them.
And by the way, you say the fact that steroids are not technically a drug is irrelevant to the picture. In Canada, as soon as steroids were banished from the united states, Health Canada issued a copycat law and placed steroids in Schedule IV of controlled substances(which make them illegal to buy, give, or sell, but not to possess, stupid huh?) The catch is, Schedule IV of controlled substances was created JUST for steroids(and later other real drugs were added). Is that irrelevant?
Nicotine is more toxic than strychnine at a gram per gram comparison, yet they are legal, because its cultural. Steroids are the most tabooed thing in our society with pedophilia, again because its cultural(understand Ben Johnson/Barry Bonds/Baseball scandal), and because of media polarization. Lastly, if a grown man or woman wants to build a godly physique with enhancers, who is the president, the FDA, or the pope to tell him otherwise as long as he respects his place in society?
for the millionth time, steroids are NOT a drug. A drug is, by definition, a substance that causes some sort of physical dependance, and causes significant brain stimulation, a category in which cigarettes, alcohol and caffeine fall but NOT steroids. And steroids do not have the slightest psychoactive effect(roid rage is BS), simply a hormone that your body produces, just like HGH.
steroids r fine if ur just doing it for ur own image cos i dont care and it doesnt affect me. but when competing in sports u shoudl use them cos it means i would have to use them 2 be fair, wich is bullshit
@jonny232323232323 sadly I feel alot of athletes are actually on them I mean so many people on television have done them and lie to the nation everyday about how they are wrong and why you shouldn't do them. So, whats stopping the kid in highschool or college who has less people to offend and lie to from doing them.
They had told his son he had to quit using steroids and forced him to stop prior to him committing suicide so it would make more sense to say that his parents and doctors caused him to commit suicide by forcing him to STOP using steroids. Seriously though, I doubt steroids had ANYTHING to do with the kids suicide despite what his dissillusioned father believes.
millions of people use steroids less then .5% commit suicide and those who do are messed up in the head long before taking steroids.. This kid had problems and the parents don't want to except any blame so they blame his steroid use.. My uncle had mental problems, got drunk and pulled a knife on a cop who then shot him to death.. Should I blame alcohol?? How many more people die from drunk driving or other problems related to long term alcohol use?? It's not the steroids it's the people.
Amazing what a proper PCT can do to help you maintain your gains following a cycle. You people are comical, stop repeating what you heard on the morning show and actually research what roids do for you and how they affect the body. Besides, it's your body. You can due to it what ever the hell you want.
What most poeple don't know is that pro athletes and bodybuilders that died and used steroids also used other drugs like Cocaine and smoked and drank a lot but none of those could have caused their deaths. LOL
Unfortunatly, I think we are the only ones sick of hearing all the BS. The rest of society continues to eat up all the disinformation that comes at them.

Steroid Casualties - Dennis Newman (leukemia) Orville Burke (coma) Don Long (kidney failure) Tom Prince (kidney failure) Flex Wheeler (kidney transplant) Tom Prince (kidney failure) Ed Corney (stroke) Boyer Coe (heart) Danny Padilla (heart) Pete Grymkowski (heart) Mike Martarazzo 39 (triple bypass heart surgery)
Most pro bodybuilders are ABUSING steroids. If you watch Chris' documentary you will notice that they are talking about the use of steroids by healthy adult men. I don't think anyone would argue the case for steroid abuse. There have only ever been three steroid attributed deaths and as for the pro bodybuilders you mentioned, steroids are not the only substances these guys are putting into their bodies in extreme amounts. Heavy weight training alone is enough to give you a heart condition.
Very legitimate argument. While your at it, compile a list of people who smoke countless cigarettes a day - shall we ban tobacco again? In fact, lets go for it, how many people die of obesity and weight induced illnesses? Ban KFC, McDonalds, Burger King....the list goes on. And steroids are no more harmful than the things i have listed. In fact, in most cases, they are far less harmful.
i totally agree with chris steroids are nothing but a tool to build your dreams just like a book is for a student the truth is to be found in their motives what was that drive that moved them why couldnt they afford to fail? the hooten case is completly misquoted
I like how he brought up Donald Hooton. The guys an idiot. Steroids didnt kill his kid. The guy is so ignorant. How can he just say "Steroids killed my kid?"
What a shame Mike died. He was a likeable guy, but he had some demons inside him that unfortunately must have got the best of him. He leaves behind a wife and child.
hey man, his brother didnt die, he says that his brother "tried" to commit suicide, and if you watched the documentary, his brother talks about how he tried to commit suicide by taking a bunch of pills and walking into the river.... just wanted to clear that up.
NO, his brother DID die. Mad dog, the older brother died at the age of 37, shorty after the film at come out. He was living in a Sober living home in CA and had 60 days clean when they found him, dead in his room. Not sure if they ever found out HOW he died. Search it on goodle.
Really sad, Chris' older brother Mike did die a couple weeks ago. No report of what it was from. He was found dead in a rehab center for alcohol & painkiller abuse.
One of the best films I have ever seen. If you haven't seen this movie, by all means do. I teach high school math, and I recommend to all my students to see this film. The reason is because of how well the director asked the questions in order to get to the question WHY...why use steriods, not what steroid users take, but the why they do it. And he answers it, and even though I have some things I don't totally agree with, the film does an amazing job of investigating and critically thinking.
"The reason is because of how well the director asked the questions in order to get to the question WHY...why use steriods, not what steroid users take, but the why they do it."
What part of that don't you understand?
He clearly states that he's wanting the students to learn WHY steroid users do so, and NOT teaching them WHAT to use.
The movie starts out by telling us that its a story about America. The director uses steroids as a vehicle in order to get a closer look at the lies/delusions that we seem to be living under. He keeps asking users about the morals of using, the fact that you're cheating, and has the guts to look at his own family, and the delusions that they live under. IMO the best part was the Carl Lewis segment, where he was caught and had no response. And he was blasting Ben for his cheating. Amazing.
Yo little King, do you actually know what a steroid is? Or how many types of steroids are there? Carl Lewis, an internal findng showed, had taken 3 different stimulants that count as steroids. Different roid users take different stuff. So "what steroid users take" is actually a legit question
Sean and I are launching a reality series, where we are training to compete in the Alberta Junior Bodybuilding Championships!

wow people debate the fact to death! the plain simple fact is roids cause you to become changed mentaly, thats what hormones do when they get out of balance just a lil bit!
Ive heard from a lot of people, and even saw a documentary showing a doctor saying this (sadly I forgot what documentary I was watching) that taking one cycle and I'm saying ONE cycle of steroids only will greatly enhance your physique. The doctor even said that everyone should take one cycle of steroids because it does wonders.
Yes I agree its about time. I was saying on another vid how I did a college class presentation arguing this in about 1995. This guy is right on, its not the drugs that make people kill themselves its the issues that may have made them take the drugs in the first place. Emotional issues.
I love this documentary. Finally...someone has come along and educated the ignorant people of the US about anabolic steroid use..while at the same time revealing how stupid our government is towards the whole idea of banning them just because of sports. Chris Bell and John Romano are awesome. If you don't know what im talking about..BUY THE MOVIE!
I tell ya it's worth it I used to go to the gym for years and I didn't develope that much of course when I think of it now I should've hired a trainer dope!!!

FUNNzilla 2 years ago
I see your point but it isn't going to happen is it. The politicians are representatives of the people and everybody everywhere knows steroids are bad for your body.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Everybody except the Drug Enforcement Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the American Medical Association.

damn dude that sucks. next time don't ask for test specifically. just ask if they can bring your hormone levels up to normal and usually they will help u out. if they refuse get a new doctor because hes an ass.

Just buy it online, its as easy as pie! Not that expensive either..
2FERGIE7 2 years ago 4
No, actually it is not. First of all, I dont live in usa, i live in canada. In canada, DHEA is illegal, and all products CLOSE to mimicking testosterone are made illegal(they are even planning to ban herbal supps). I was reading journals of canadians buying steroids online, and it has discouraged me greatly(they have to place a money order from outside canada, make sure they are not traceable, use xray-proof paper for customs, etc). Trust me, its NOT easy.

@XoxFrankieReyesxoX i watched it on megavideo, but it's shit, unless ur a premium memeber, u can only watch like 70 minutes or something and you have to wait ages until u can watch it again.
it's worth it though, amazing doc.
THEGODOVROIDZ 2 years ago
here's a tip, once your viewing time has expired, keep hitting the reload button on your browser, over and over, it will reset the player, and you can watch movies again immediately on megavideo.
RebelWrestler45 1 year ago
really? thanks!
THEGODOVROIDZ 1 year ago
yeah, just make sure you keep hitting the reload button quickly, before the display has time to reset, and at the very least, it will reduce the time that you have to wait to watch another movie; most of the time you can eliminate the wait time altogether. I came upon the trick by happenstance, I was watching a really good movie, and the player cut off on me right in the middle of a good scene, I got pissed off and just kept hitting the reload button, low on behold, it worked.

i know they arent going to be legal as long as fuckin joe biden and hooten. And why do i think i need them? i dont. im a 19 year old soon to ship out to marine boot camp, so even if i wanted to, i cant.
badmudda 2 years ago
So what if others say its easy? the point is i shouldnt have to risk my health or going to jail because some punkass kid might use it. speeding endangers everyone on the road. When used resposibly, steroids dont harm anyone. If people dont want athletes doing steroids, then test them in the off season when they actually are using. If people dont want kids using steroids, Have sports coaches educate them and make it illegal to sell to teens.
badmudda 2 years ago
banning the general public from using a substance just because an athlete or a kid might get to it isnt right. Anyone who wants it bad enough will find a way to get it. All banning steroids does is make it harder for the responsible adults who arent even athletes to get a hold of it.
badmudda 2 years ago 21
....and it also makes it more profitable to distribute them illegally.
jtrougher171 2 years ago
@badmudda its pretty easy to get a hold of it.

FUNNzilla 2 years ago
Good point, no EXCELLENT point... I know what you mean, I feel the same way! BUT you should have no problem weighing 200lbs fairly lean naturally unless you are shorter then I'd say 5'9. I'm no trying to be a dick I'm just saying 200lbs was a bad example, lets bump that up to 250!
TheOpenSight 2 years ago
Im going to ask you one question: why should the people suffer from professional sports banning? 85 per cent of steroid users are non-athletic users(source Bigger Stronger Faster), which means that a very vast majority is penalized by irrelevant laws(by irrelevant i mean "that dont apply", we are not in sports). Why not ban steroids only for athletes then, instead of all of us? And by the way alcohol and tobacco are way more dangerous than steroids will ever be( 1,5 millions deaths). Ban them.
FUNNzilla 2 years ago
anabolic steroids are not a synthetic chemical. they are synthetic hormones.
jxk2790 2 years ago
And by the way, you say the fact that steroids are not technically a drug is irrelevant to the picture. In Canada, as soon as steroids were banished from the united states, Health Canada issued a copycat law and placed steroids in Schedule IV of controlled substances(which make them illegal to buy, give, or sell, but not to possess, stupid huh?) The catch is, Schedule IV of controlled substances was created JUST for steroids(and later other real drugs were added). Is that irrelevant?
FUNNzilla 2 years ago
Nicotine is more toxic than strychnine at a gram per gram comparison, yet they are legal, because its cultural. Steroids are the most tabooed thing in our society with pedophilia, again because its cultural(understand Ben Johnson/Barry Bonds/Baseball scandal), and because of media polarization. Lastly, if a grown man or woman wants to build a godly physique with enhancers, who is the president, the FDA, or the pope to tell him otherwise as long as he respects his place in society?
FUNNzilla 2 years ago
for the millionth time, steroids are NOT a drug.
FUNNzilla 2 years ago
steroids r fine if ur just doing it for ur own image cos i dont care and it doesnt affect me. but when competing in sports u shoudl use them cos it means i would have to use them 2 be fair, wich is bullshit
jonny232323232323 2 years ago

Heavy weight training alone is enough to give you a heart condition.
dlowrie290 2 years ago
You've provided us with a list of steroid abusers. If I can provide a list of alcoholics, can we ban alcohol again?
NidisListenstoShit 2 years ago 5
Very legitimate argument. While your at it, compile a list of people who smoke countless cigarettes a day - shall we ban tobacco again? In fact, lets go for it, how many people die of obesity and weight induced illnesses? Ban KFC, McDonalds, Burger King....the list goes on. And steroids are no more harmful than the things i have listed. In fact, in most cases, they are far less harmful.

BMFRaw 3 years ago 2
your an idiot
KingAttle 3 years ago
The movie starts out by telling us that its a story about America. The director uses steroids as a vehicle in order to get a closer look at the lies/delusions that we seem to be living under. He keeps asking users about the morals of using, the fact that you're cheating, and has the guts to look at his own family, and the delusions that they live under. IMO the best part was the Carl Lewis segment, where he was caught and had no response. And he was blasting Ben for his cheating. Amazing.

Is it entirely possible to keep ALL the gains from a single cycle? because i know some roids dont allow the muscle to be kept unless you keep using.
