  • K let's do it nick, you heard him- john c Riley

  • Dirk Diggler's hairstyle shows that the producer's of this movie realized that the early 1980s were not exactly a clean break from the 70s.

  • Fucking great movie and one of the funniest scenes in it, especially John Reilly!!

  • When I sing this song, I am having a good time. The worse I sing it the better the time!

  • I like when the camera pans over to John C. Riley, jammin his ass off!! LOL. This movie is great. Pefect soundtrack, perfect everything.

  • 0:24 YEAH!

    LMAOOO fucking priceless

  • The studio that released Boogie Nights was sued and settled twice because of this song. The original (much better btw) was written and preformed by Stan Bush who did LOTS of movie songs in the 80's. The producers of BN found old studio recordings of the song but it had no names or anything that could ID who wrote it. It was assumed that it was written for a movie that never got made and included it. Both Hasbro and Stan Bush sued them because it was written and used for Transformers the movie.

  • "yeah!"

  • i'd rather listen to this song than Good Vibrations any day..

  • @donthogtheremote Aww, how cute, it's Babby's 1st Troll!

  • ' YOU'RE A WINNER! '

  • this is also on transformers 1986 movie :)

    ftw!!!

  • This guy dosen't have touch

  • @CoasterBeach Boogie Nights was amazing... wtf are you talking about? Apparently, you haven't seen The Departed either.

  • lolololol

  • I'm playing this at my wedding this summer.

  • Where can i download this??

  • lol @ 0:55 awesome dance :D

  • I totally rock this jam when I'm playing World of Warcraft!!!

  • The funny part is that based on what I'm reading by the comments, people don't realize that this was a real song by Stan Bush for Transformers! Hahahaha!

  • @Mrster You serious? Wasn't this song made for this movie? It's brilliant! Mark Wahlbergs voice is incredible.

  • @humpyhustler

Hahah :) It's such a random choice of a song to make a parody of.

  • @Mrster Hhahahahahaha!! '' you're a winner''.

  • @humpyhustler

Search for Optimus Prime vs Megatron and watch it. :D

  • Hahahahaha!! It's funny how i the 80s they made heaps of shit songs that were meant to be inspirational.

  • @humpyhustler ass thats my favorite song its optimus primes song man!

  • ¡¡Que gran pelicula!!mark Walberg esta espectacular en esta escena(como en toda la pelicula) es para cagarse de risa!!EXCELENTE

  • feel feel feel feel my heat LOL

  • I laugh every time the camera turns to the booth and Reilly is rockin out.

  • LMAO Mark Wahlberg is the shit

  • Your a winner!!..Your Nobodys Fool!!...LMAO THIS IS FUCKING FUNNY SHIT I LOVE IT

  • I LOVE JOHN C. REILLY!!!!

  • i know this song from the Transformers cartoon movie (1986) - but i wiki'd - turns out it was "originally written for the Sylvester Stallone film Cobra". the song has appeared in other places, including American Dad. well done, stan bush...

  • rofl. my ears r bleeding.

  • lol, back in the 80's I had hair like Dirks'.

  • Michael Bay should work this version into the new Transformer movie and it'll instantly be better than the two shitty movies he's already cranked out!

  • im ready to run the gauntlet a/f listin to THE TOUCH

  • Great cameo by Michael Penn, who also wrote the Boogie Nights theme, "The Big Top."

  • The Transformers are crying robot tears right now.

  • @Wrentastic LOL

  • Is it bad that I kinda like this song?

  • @alexxxdamasta187 To tell the truth it's kinda good. But in a bad way!!!

  • you think the bass is taking away from the vocals?fuckin classic haha.

  • @jdoperator Bass is DEFINATELY taking away from the vocals! LMAO!!

  • @jdoperator We look like assholes right now man!

  • @LIME5900 have you heard our stuff were guaranteed a record deal our stuff is that good!

  • @jdoperator Let me explain this to you, simple arithmetic 1, 2, 3!

  • @LIME5900 That sounds like a YP.

  • @24 YEAH !!

    LOL

  • If they had Autotune back then, Dirk would have been a star.

  • i used to hate this song but now i'm starting to like it. i guess that's what happens when you like transformers.

  • 17 People do NOT have the touch.

  • @rockforlight The news gets worse... 19!

  • @rockforlight 20 people now... Marky Mark is included in that 20.

  • @rockforlight lol good one

  • @rockforlight or maybe "a touch too much"? :P

  • I've been in sessions like this. The band always believes if only the mix was better, their crappy song would somehow become a big hit. The bass is taking away from the vocals.

  • I really, REALLY felt bad for Nick... & the scene was fictional!!! Can't imagine how many real engineers had to sit thru absolute shite like that thru the 80s...

  • lol

  • I thought Mark Walhberg was a singer. Why isn't he singing like a rockstar? ...Wait! He's an actor now! He lost the singing talent he had as Markie Mark! LOL

  • @Markel1970A No, he's acting, in a film...

  • Best scene from the movie, hands down, bitches!

  • @GohModley ah hold on, the mocumentary part is fuckin brilliant as well

  • Keep the vocals UP!!!!

  • Greatest thing I have ever heard, transformers should be proud. (no joke)

  • I've never seen this, but I do know it would've sounded much better if he got Dewey Cox over there to sing back up for him :P

  • Dirks haircut is Awsome...i remember my dad had one of those the same.

  • I just realized it's Michael Penn doing the engineering.........classic

  • The headbands. Red sweats. Hair parted down the center. And that 'hard-driving' sucko Reagan-era sound. How well I remember it.

  • @robertschelly Not to mention AWFUL keyboards & even worse vocals!!!

  • This is just great! Hilarious! Funniest scene in a film I've seen so far. Lol

Mark said he couldn't sing for real but I think he wouldn't be behind the beat if he tried to. He was a rapper - some of his songs are really good, check them out.

I love this film and Mark in it!

  • Stan Bush, I recorded him singing in my first studio that was located in the dining room of my apartement, must have been 1996 or so. Good times!

  • "the touch" written by Stan Bush for the animated version of "Transformers : The Movie" from the 80's. haha awesome! SUCH a great scene!

  • @DJM442 Funnily the song was originally conceived for the Sylvester Stallone movie Cobra :)

  • @TheTrevorGoodchild oh sweet jesus that can't be true! hahaha

  • @DJM442 Sad but true buddy :D

    Look it up lol

  • @TheTrevorGoodchild like your Æon Flux Trevor Goodchild icon, i miss the hell outta that show and MTV's "Liquid Television"

  • @DJM442 Yeah and the film was such a letdown. Still you can get the series on DVD like I do, and relive the madness again and again. So few people know of/ like that show when it is so amazing.

  • @TheTrevorGoodchild i'm gonna see if i can netflix Æon Flux or Liquid Television. and here i thought i was the only one who enjoyed the cartoon version of Æon Flux!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • This is still easier on the ears than Stan Bush's rejected 2009 "remake" of The Touch.

  • I like Shia Labeouf's version better xD

  • The expression on the Sound Guy/Producers' face when Dirk asks about the Bass taking away from the Vocals juts absolutely kills me every time!

  • I love this song so much i had to make it my ringtone. Call me often so i can revel in the glory that is Dirk Diggler.

  • LMAO.....I've known so many studio engineers like Nick. They just HATE some of the projects they work on but can't can't say so because they have to eat. So they just polish a turd as best they can.

They want so badly to say, "STOP IT..... YOU FUCKING SUCK"

But they can't. Bless their nerdy hearts.

  • in a perfect world there would be a Dirk Diggler/Stitch Jones duet

  • I saw this on American Dad, haha

    Your a Winner!!

  • feel, feel, feel, feel my heat

  • sad

  • oh lord, i'm gonna have this as my ringtone.

  • i heard this play during a lakers game

  • I don't know if I should be laughing hard or start crying with him just killing a classic song.

  • they had to turn the vocals up,,,,,,,,,,, the bass was drowning out that superstar voice,,,,,,,,,, ,ROCK ON ! lmao

  • Optimus Prime would be displeased.

  • The sad thing is, there's a lot of singers who still sound like this but now it all get's fixed in Pro Tools.

    See: Kanye West

  • HAHAHA! If the bass wasn't drowning out the vocals then I think that would be the real problem

  • Youve got the moves ... you know the streets !!!! I swear I love these lyrics !!! LOL

    Your a winner !!

  • "after all is said and done, you never walk you never run...YOURE A WINNER!"

  • American Dad - not family Guy...

  • Remixed awesomely on Family Guy last night. Awesome - there WAS magic on those tapes!

  • This scene is so funny!!!!He sounds horrible and he asks if the bass is taking away from his vocal,LMAO!!!!

  • hes better at rapping look up Marky Mark.

  • Michael Penn making a great cameo.

Boogie nights is a true modern day classic film. Along with There Will Be Blood.

  • he is a horrible singer!!!! lol nice vid

  • "Keep the vocals up!"

  • This isn't THAT bad. If you get the mix right, bring the bass down a little, you've got a hit.

  • @drjuancarlosvega2 Yeah they do just that.

  • @drjuancarlosvega2 Yeah they do just that.

  • This should be featured on one of those American Idol outtakes!

Hilarious! 5 stars just for the bad hair!

  • lmfao you got the touchhhhh you got the powerrr

  • this is one of the greatest scenes in movie history..

  • :53 pan over to Riley, hilarious

this scene is pure magic, comic and tragic all at once

  • When i hear him sing this, i cringe. lol, terrific film!

  • This was horrble

  • This song, written for the original Transformer's movie, was one of my favorites as a kid. Watching this film, I couldn't believe that anyone remembered it.

  • this song is in transformers the 80's cartoon movie lol.

  • Kind of like Mark Wahlberg's actual music career... lol

  • I think the bass is taking away from the vocals

  • @curak76 it's definitely taking away from the vocals.

  • lmao...no shit!

  • lol dancing behind the glass ...... classic

  • awesome just perfect

  • ears.....bleeding...

  • marky mark making a cameo, ladies and gentlemen

  • Haha. Second worst song EVER (first being the other from this movie, right after this one).

  • I want this to be my ringtone and see how many people recognize it

  • sweet maiden

  • Dirk did way too much coke, that's why his singing sounds bad but he thinks it sounds good LOL. Love this movie.....John C Reilly rules lol..

  • thanks for explaing

  • that song was horrible but i love the movie!

  • I think this part is devastatingly hilarious!! LMFAO

  • horribly perfect

  • Weird, I always thought that Stan Bush did the theme song for Transformers: The Movie, not Dirk Diggler. Now I know

  • the magic on those tapes of me howeling like a dog when a fire engine or cop car passes thats ours have you even hurd them i sound so out of tune and i need that magic

  • That's not an MP, that's a YP.

  • but i love john c Reilly's dance moves even more. rock on sir

  • Hell Yeah He so funny! LMAO

  • i love this movie.

  • You're NObody's fool!

  • ha ha ha wonder if Stan Bush saw this scene, he probably did!!

  • Forgot how funny this scene is!! Mark Wahlberg is so genius at out-of-tune, bad timing, breathy energized vocal assaults!

  • bad singing

  • I know we owe you money, but if you would give us the recordings, we could sell them for tons of money and pay you. Freaking stupid studio owners . . .

  • Keep the vocals up!

  • Yup. I agree. The bass is taking away your vocal.

  • Dirk Diggler is an awesome porn name. I agree with the dancing comment.

  • stick to porn mate, lol

  • John C. Reilly dancing in the studio is classic

  • @drewmx John C. Reilly is classic

  • It's sad the first time dirk does coke.

When he says "do you think i look cool when i do it?"

I'm watching it right now, and i d/k. That part was just, realistic. You know? Great film though.

  • its pretty obvious hes singing badly because the character has no singing talent but him and his buddy are they only ones who dont realise that

  • you're nobody's fool!

  • You're a winner!

  • Great film, but Mark ought to stick to acting :).

  • agree to disagree

  • This was 1 of the most surreal moments of my life. When this scene came on me and my friends all looked at each other and I said "is this the fucking song from Transformers the movie?" Unbelievable.
