my ninja 250 gets to 115 indicated on guage with 15/41 sprockets down a hill but i bet with aftermarket exhuast i could get 120 goin down a hill. pretty sure if i can get 120 on guage im goin about 110
the cbr can beat the ninja in every thing it does, but if ur comparing the prices, the new 08 models cost 3500 and i havent looked up the price or anything, but i saw an older cbr 250 for 9000 and if u compare any 9000 dollar motorcycle 2 this cbr250 it would wast it, so i would have to say the ninja is a better than cbr, u dont feel as bad if u drop it and its a great bike 2 learn on and once u want 2 spend 9000 dollars, spend it a bigger bike
if you want a aportbike look at ninja 250 for sure. you can get one used for less than $2000 on ebay, but it will be a few years old with some miles, but still nice. or if you dont want a sportbike get a honda rebel 250. they are both awesome bikes, i prefer the ninja. ive been riding for years and i have a ninja 250. dont listen to idiots who say you'll "outgrow" it. They just want to go fast and die Good Luck
u learn on a 250 becasue it teaches you how to control a light bike, so u dont have to worry about speed/acceleration and over steering, then u get a bigger bike THEN you worry about speed, i bet u shit urself the first time you went out...man im glad i live in a country that has laws to prevent stupid ppl from doing stupid shit like what u did.
true that!! most idiots out there say oh get a 650 its a great starter bike you wont outgrow it too fast. how the fuck can anyone outgrow a bike that runs a 13 sec quarter and tops out at 115ish? cuz thats a ninja 250. thank you for being smart you made my day
i agree. dont need anymore than 250 really.. mine does 120mph easy and insurance is cheeeeeap! and its much lighter then the bigger bikes so corners better.
What 250 is that? The ex250 tops out at 100-105mph. You could change your gearing from stock for more top speed but that wouldn't be "easy" like you describe. Besides talking BS you could be honestly mistaken, as the ex250's speedometer is notorious for being innacurate, but usually only over by 5mph.
Hey man I'm from Canada but every broker I get a quote from states insurance is well over $2000! But some sites riders are saying they pay $300 full coverage! Where or who do you get that policy from?
thats true. i don't go over 90 unless i'm on the track, but i do love high power for quick acceleration. :D it's hard to keep the nose down on a high power bike though....
and a ZX6R isn't even a high power bike u tool. It's not hard to keep the nose down on it at all. First you say ooo 110mph then "oh i dont go over 90" stick to 4 wheels jerk

cbr lol are you serious. tahts coming from a 250 rider. but they dont cell a cbr 250 in the states. the only 250 sportbike in the US is the Ninja.

Watching this video again makes me miss my lil 250.
At least it's being used well, teaching another newbie how to ride safely.

im looking into buying a bike this summer, which would you recommend for a beginner
i want it to be easy to control and i probably wont go over 100 so speed doesnt really matter and im looking to spend less than $2000

Is that exhaust note from a stock can? It sounds pretty good. (I'm saving for my first bike - a 250 :D)

oooo a whole 250CC'S! raw power...must be good for what, 110 mph? right bike, wrong size.
idfspecops 5 years ago
Wrong size for whom? You are an idiot.
KidxVicious 5 years ago
well i suppose it's good for a beginner. i mean, i learned on an intruder 1400 and own a ZX6R right now. some do learn faster than others....
idfspecops 5 years ago
You have more balls than brains. "I learned on a 1400" is something a lot of dead people have said.
A good rider on a 250 will toast a bad rider on a 600 on anything that involves more than opening the throttle in a straight line.
aluisious 5 years ago
well first of all, i learned on a 1400 to learn control. second, i'm not a bad rider. my ZX6R keeps me in front of the pack. it's all i need.
