I'm from Toronto and last week saw a book tour stop you did on ForaTV. VERY inspiring!! Thanks for your passion and insight.
I was just back from Sonoma/Napa for the first time, as a mid-20s foodie/cook. The first wine that made me feel like a sommelier was a Homewood Merlot. This was the one wine where terroir really made an impact on the wine - I could taste the bay and eucalyptus leaves from the surrounding trees around the property in the wine. Very very cool.
Lurker here... been watching for a while now and you've piqued my interest in wines.
Can't say I remember the last wine I had, it was over the summer. But, I do have a bottle hanging out in the kitchen. I'll get the specs and try it out...when I do, I'll post about it! Keep the videos coming Gary!
Canada--seems like it has cool places. Would like to drive up some time. Toronto--I have no idea.
Last wine-- (besides in church) was a Chardonnay (possibly a Carmenet, probably post-2000) and I would score it 88-89; very good. (I'm a sweet-tooth n00b).
Gary im not a wine person but i love what you do , i watch your videos so i can brainstorm for my niche i know it must be somthing near and dear but i havent embraced that but you keep up the good work
