I don't play fighting games in Japan, it's boring. I had an issue about gaming addicts. People who played any games for more than 10 hours and they wasted their lives. Boom, brain cell damage. Unless if it's any game that's worth playing like classic arcades and prize games(not for anime figures because only deranged people would play that junk.). I wouldn't be like those freaks and I really meant to say that.
Oh I've done that so many times and they can't be recorded because of the retarded backwards technology of the machines and I'm sick of my many wins there already, and against those Asians.
after watching this id just like to say thanks! fantastic video and has really opened my eyes up to how much i want arcades back, thing is, in england arcades very really took off which is so depressing when looking at stuff like this : /
And being seen as no more than consumers or in a small indirect way promoters for them to do more of these mindless sequels and make even more money from the other consumers as well.
Japanese Arcades are in America, the west cost has more than a few. even in my home town we have arcade UFO i go all the time and its growing!
or you can go to an anime convention, thay often import arcade games. i think a lot of people just dont know where to look if your searching for the arcade experience.
The West Coast is certainly doing better than the East Coast in things like this. East Coast people probably do more LAN and PC games all in all. They've progressed maybe, but have they really?
I doubt we'll get the same arcades out here, at least we probably won't for a very very long time. It sux cuz the only decent arcade near here in Nickle City in Illinois.
That was a really good movie mate. As far as the Japanese style arcades coming to America, prolly will never happen. A few of these exist in the bigger cities in the US *One of the best ones in MA closed this year =( * but I believe it's the consumer. A lot of Americans are cheap and would not want to spend more than a few dollars supporting these type of game centers. No matter how different and unique they are. Plus gaming in these type of places is still looked down on as well by the public
When will I get something similar back in the states? I highly doubt you ever will. Theres a few arcades similar to the types in Japan. But US gaming culture is just too different.;
lag-free and near-lag-free online gaming will soon make arcades unneccessary as far as finding decent competition goes... but not a bad movie all in all...
Not in these countries where people have no computers at home or don't want to play on computers. They'd rather play cheaply in an Arcade where people meet face to face on a random yet regular basis and can play in person and not just sit at home. It's different for these people.
These countries like Japan are probably poor and they don't seem to be able to afford the home consoles let alone ironically the machines they play on for so many years. Many of them also seem to not be able to afford to live in the city even with the noise and tissue porn peddlers and have to live in the rural areas hours of train rides away.
alot of animators are also dead..

Yes but most people go to arcades for the different experience you get interacting face to face with people instead of through the interwebs.
lalaborat 2 years ago
nah, the arcade experience is way more fun. Playing at home, even on XBOX Live or whatever else, just makes you boring.
