I'm curious about this movie and about Jaglom in general (still haven't seen any of his movies straight through) but this whole lengthy clip is the kind of thing that you could have on Youtube and then find yourself drifting around the room, doing the laundry, washing the windows, shampooing the carpet, and still not miss anything.
I like character-driven stories when there IS a story. Most of Jaglom's movies are pictures of people sitting around talking. Well, you go to your church, I'll go to mine.

I like Jack Nicholson with a moustache. He's sturdy this way, perfectly fit for this kind of films.

Henry Jaglom's movies are like watching paint dry.

You have to enjoy character driven stories. He was the product of the anti-structuralists and was colleagues with the likes of Bob Rafelson.

And why does he always wear that stupid hat?

Your church appears to involve the tying of women to things and the subsequent raping and\or torture of them, which is a crazy church.

At least it's more exciting than bingo night.
Chacun à son goût, I always say.

Well, you're certainly wrong in this case! Disjointed as it may be, "A Safe Place" is chock-full of colorful, intriguing imagery.
I really appreciate the inclusion of this scene; I only wish the whole film were here!
