  • I find it funny that while i am viewing countless videos of pop-top VCRs, I am amused when they pop up and it makes me think of a band from the 80s called Simple Minds... and a song called Dont you forget about me. And you have a video of a pop top VCR, and a video of that song... Simple Minds are amused by toploading VCRs. that made me feel good. I am not the only one!!!

  • OH man we had one very very similar to this. It was given to us but those things were like $800 when they were new. The latest technology! I even remember beta.

    Quasar VCRs were my favourite ones. I owned two of them.

  • I've got a 1981 GE, same loader mech, tune lights, and buttons (laid out differently, though)... I can't seem to get the tracking to work...

    Amazingly, these were $1100 new... so I've heard.
