This is such an improvement on one of Elton John's less memorable songs. His ordinary midtempo ballad becomes a hauntingly beautiful performance in Sinead's hands. She builds intensity through the last statement of the chorus, where her doubled harmony sounds strikingly like Carly Simon, c. 1973. I'd like to know whose arrangement this is.

I worshipped Sinead, but it broke my heart to watch her self destruction. It took many years for me to realize, that she was almost the same age, just as stubborn and way more Celtic than I'll ever be.  I still think about those early days and love her music more than ever. My favorite tune is "Put Your Hands On Me" a collaboration with MC Lyte, I think it is the kind of music she really enjoyed doing.
