It sounds late 40s to me. Hildy made loads of records with Carroll Gibbons in the 30s, but I doubt that this one dates from that period. The orchestra could be that of Peter Yorke.

@Rubiglo Yes, it's a 1935 song but I think the recording sounds more 1940s... In 1935 she was only 29 and her voice sounds older here. Compare with the 'In the Mood for Love' video from 1933.... This Life cover by the way is from April 1939.
