halo is the ring. if its active then it kills all galactic life. the game halo you have to stop the covenant from activating it and kill all covenant and flood.in halo 2 its the same but your on a different ring and on halo 3 theres like 5 rings that you deactivate. ps.halo 3 is the last game in the story line and halo reach is before halo 1 in the story line

the books are amazing! they give you a background about master chief and what hes done. The halo games make a lot more sense when you read the books. Me personally I think the halo series were the best series ever created :)

He is talking about the incoming Covenant attack. The UNSC was followed by them from Planet Reach, and those would be the "old friends" he is refering to. So yes, he wants to give the Covenant "a warm welcome." And thus, "everyone" is at their post. Including Spartan-117.

How were u able to remove the weapon from the screen? I give it a 4/5, knocked down because you mostly used public videos (the intro for example)

I didn't remove any weapons from the screen. The early shots where there is no rifle are from the beginning when Cheif has no gun yet. And as for public videos? I plugged in my Xbox console into the PC and recorded 100% of the footage myself. Some looks shoddier than others because of the compression on Youtube, my dvd copies look kick ass, thank you.
