The commander of this unit was relieved of command because of this little screw-up....at least thats what the report from "Mother Rucker" said. This is NOT an Army or National Guard approved thing, this is actually a blatant disregard for public safety.
your facts are a little off, the commander is still in command, and everyone of those pilots is still flying, see em everyday. and we all still have our job because this was an approved mission. that fly over was done three times that day, no incidents, and crying vets thanking us, I'm gonna go as so far as to say that was some pretty supurb flying on thier parts.
Well in that case, you may want to inform the Aviation Safety people over at good ol' "Mother Rucker" because they are stating otherwise. Just had one of their people at an aviation safety confrence and he pointed this video out as "what not to do" and informed us of what I stated in my first post. If in fact that information is incorrect then somebody may want to tell the safety people at Rucker otherwise.
Rucker can talk all the shit they want, the old mans still there, he just signed my ncoer. Rucker is not the best place to get information, everything they get will be turned into "why it was the pilots fault or crewchiefs fault and this wouldnt have happend if theyd just listen to us."
@ApacheChief64 wow... They're still telling this story as a warning and admonition at Rucker... I guess I'm not surprised though... They really don't have anything better to do...
