Hell no, how can a console with such an unaceptable failure rate be number 6?! Everyone I know who has a 360 has worked their way through several consoles. I've been repairing and repairing mine but a few months ago it broke down completely, fuck it.

The NES had weak hardware even for its time. The controller was small and uncomfortable for long hours of play. The games themselves always freeze and/or glitch up. R.O.B. the robot, the Zapper, and the Power Glove were all failures.

I'm not a ps3 fanboy (i have both the 360 and ps3) but i'd much prefer ps3 it has internet, blu-ray player, it has great 3d games, and better exclusive games and i like the trophy system more than achievements i feel like a boss anytime i get platinum trophy or even a gold trophy.

@sonicthesexmachine I own a lot of consoles, Atari 2600-now. I own a 360, PS3, and Gaming PC. 360 is alright, but how is it #6 of all time, even surpassing the n64, Dreamcast, and Saturn? Especially when 95% of the games are on other consoles, it seems too hard to justify. Just because it was first doesn't mean its the best. Look at where Saturn landed! I didn't like the controller at all on the N64, analog stick wasn't comfortable, and the trigger buttons and dpad, wtf? worst spots ever. same as stated with @donfolstar I'm pretty sure arcade machines had analog sticks, which was before the N64. and stated again, the PS controller is probably what people model their controllers after or at least take notes from it, because its just that good. there is a reason why N64 controller design isn't used.

Why? The N64 was released in 1996, at the time CD based consoles were becoming the norm. While a Ps1 CD could hold 700 MB of data, a cartridge could maybe hold... 4 MB-10 MB This meant that games for the N64 would be inferior visually and length-wise as there was less space to store content.
Plus the N64 had poor 3rd party support because making cartridges was expensive. N64 had a very restrictive library.

1. N64 lost to the PSX in almost every way possible (exceptions: 4 player Goldeneye & Smash Bros) so 9 is generous
2. Wii has sold more than PS3 and pushed innovation more, so yes
3. "The console I own right now" is a lame, myopic, response
4. so is "the first console I owned"
5. Metal Gear SOLID started on the PSX, you no listening motherfucker
6. The NES is exactly where it belongs on this list :)

I hate to burst your bubble, but...
1. the playstation was released 2 years before the n64
2. the rumble pack and dual shock came out the same year & analog sticks had been around for a long time
3. you must be high if you want to hype the often ridiculed n64 controller against the industry standard setting psx controller
4. psx crushed the n64 in sales
5. 7 year olds are typically pretty dumb
6. ps2/3 are just updated psx whereas nintendo had to completely change their next system.

@Crashdile1 PS Controller had a rumble pack? I didn't like the controller at all on the N64, analog stick wasn't comfortable, and the trigger buttons and dpad, wtf? worst spots ever. same as stated with @donfolstar I'm pretty sure arcade machines had analog sticks, which was before the N64. and stated again, the PS controller is probably what people model their controllers after or at least take notes from it, because its just that good. there is a reason why N64 controller design isn't used.

0:23 no they didn't. SEGA Dreamcast has motion controls and it was made in the damn nineties. I hate how all the stuff that system does so far ahead of it's time just gets ignored by people. Well guess what? It took until 2005 before anything was at the same level as Seganet. Six. Frickin'. Years. Before Xbox live got good and caught up. Why? The N64 was released in 1996, at the time CD based consoles were becoming the norm. While a Ps1 CD could hold 700 MB of data, a cartridge could maybe hold... 4 MB-10 MB This meant that games for the N64 would be inferior visually and length-wise as there was less space to store content.
Plus the N64 had poor 3rd party support because making cartridges was expensive. N64 had a very restrictive library.

the dream cast is easily the best console of its time, it didn't fail game developers failed instead of making new games that used the Dreamcast's potential they ported games ps1 and n64 to it. ea sports refused to realese any games on it
