  • Nice collection! This tutorial should help me a little :)

  • Rockin' video. The smell of the rodents is the worst, I hate it XD

  • Do you keep ball pythons simply to breed them? Poor things can hardly move in the tiny little shelf things you have them in. At least put then in a viv where they can be happy and have some stimulation other than a hide and a water bowl! Not to mention you can enjoy them too!

  • B E A U T I F U L

  • What's the point of freezing dead rats if you're snake eats the live ones fine? Nigga you need a girl friends instead if fucking around with snakes an reptiles hahah

  • @smokey1169 shut up

  • @smokey1169 Feeding live is more dangerous for the snake, especially if they're younger. A mouse or rat can easily harm a snake if it tries to fight back, and there have been instances where people did not watch the rodents in the cage, and they've actually /eaten/ parts of the snake... Like skin down to the bone and such.

  • Oh my God. Do you love the sound of your voice or what? Shut up and get to the point.

  • @MegaKobe241 you can use a heat lamp or a heat pad

  • Hey I am a little new to snakes but how did you get passed the point of when they strike not to jump lol

  • I really like the music at the beginning. What its called?

  • Wish my snake would eat frozen.. he's sooo picky! I bought him from a breeder and he was fed live all his life.. he won't eat anything but live! Such a pain! lol

  • i recomend you put gloves when you catch the dead mouse...yack =S

  • You know, adding keywords that have nothing to do with the actual video is really stupid. All it does is force people to add "-CheckOutMyBalls305" to their search so they don't get a bunch of irrelevant responses. Please consider removing keywords that have nothing to do with your videos.

  • how many times do u feed a week

  • @GearHeadTheMan211 for an adult snake only once a week...for a younger one 2-3 times a week

  • @Pinky12131415 ???? For an Adult Ball Python you feed once every 2 weeks. For a baby BP it's once every 5-7 days.

Your method would be considered Power Feeding which has negative effects.

  • @ProTuner06 well my mistake

  • @GearHeadTheMan211 For an Adult Ball Python you feed once every 2 weeks. For a Sub-Adult you feed once every 7 days. For a baby BP it's once every 5-7 days.

  • how many times do u fedd a week

  • whats a colubrid

  • @boomboxguy33 colubrids are the thin family of snakes, including rat snakes, king snakes, corn snakes, garter snakes, etc...

  • Hey maybe you could help me. I just got a ball python and the guy I bought him from said he has only ever eaten live rats but he hadn't eaten them in a week and now it's been two and a half and I'm getting really worried. My vet said to try frozen. So I'm wondering...would this method of switching from live to frozen thawed help him eat again?

  • @fluffystuff66 you should try feeding him the frozen and if he takes it keep on that. but another way if he doesnt take that is to stun a live one. that way it will stop moving so he will get used to the thawed ones. and if he doesnt take it u could just leave it in there so it can walk again and he might go for it live. sorry for bad explaining but hope it helped

  • Man your water is cold compared to mine. My tap water is over 140 degrees. And it burns when i wash dishes.

  • great video, really helped me out.

  • i cant find any live mice to get where i live we used to hav pet stores all over the place that sold them now theres only petsmart and they r fag hippie babies that only sell frozen lame boring unmoving mice.

  • ohh my gosh this helped me SO much! I cant thank you enough!!

  • where in florida do you live?

  • I sure hope you don't hold all those snakes there... They need space. And I wouldnt recomend to feed him on a substratum.. He might swallow it and have digestion problems...

  • @Kajifleik direct message..i can give u info

  • how much are frozen rat and when should i start feeding them that size of rat because i think of getting a ball python

  • dude you have a very good lookin spider, i like how bright the white is on yours; ive heard, more than one person, say its bad to thaw the rats out in hot water, they said you should use room temp water, do you know anything about that? and im not tryin to call ya out or anything lol im just tryin to figure out if thats a valid fact or something

  • I have been doing this for years. I even have my pixie frogs, pacman frogs, marine toads, & Dumpy tree frogs, eating frozen thawed from tongs. They recognize the tongs as meaning it's time to eat. This is safe & means no loss of an expensive pet because a rodent has bitten it. Remember, living in a glass or plastic container, is not the wild. If snake grabs the food & is used to moving prey, you can wiggle it a bit, causing the snake to tighrten its grip, thinks it is killing dead food.

  • cn sm 1 add me im gettin a ball python i need help

  • How long was the process of switching them over?

  • I jumped when he went for the mouse LOL.

  • can u ever get away from tongs and just give it to them outside of their cage?

  • what that bedding that your snakes are on is it some kind of aspen

  • wow nice patterns on all the snakes, thanks or the info i think im gonna start to switch to frozen since its cheaper than live.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video! We have just purchased our 1st ball python who refused her 1st feeding 4 days ago. Today she took her first F/T rat pup.

Your calm and confident feeding of these snakes laid to rest many of the myths about how impossible they are to feed F/T. I also found the lengthy footage useful in familiarizing myself with the body language of a a hungry snake. It was great motivation and ended in a happy bulging snake

  • @proballo1 im glad i was able to help! Please sub to my new channel

    thanks,

    Alex

  • how do you personally pre kill your rodents?

  • @MichiefNGuile

either a quick blow to the head or CO2 chamber

  • @MichiefNGuile you can hold the tail and swing them onto a hard surface. We used to hit them against the wall. If you do it right they never know what hit em

  • Thanks man, i will try it with my male pastel.

  • How come you don't house your beardies together?

  • Hey what ever happened with your WC gravid female? DId she lay, did they hatch yet or no?

  • there not tongs

  • what if my snake doesnt even flick its tongue when its around F/Ts?

  • i dont like to feed frozen cuz when u put it in hot water the guts will blow up in the water sick!

  • 0.0

    is that even possible?

  • no? only if you put it in the microwave....

  • WHAT THE FUCK that doesnt happen

  • yes it does

  • that doesnt happen o.O? It might happen if you put it in the microwave but not from the hot water

  • @alvin41789 wow

  • @alvin41789 It's not suppose to be boiling water, just hot enough to make the snake think it's alive moron

  • @alvin41789 if that happens, it is because you did something wrong

  • @alvin41789 This only happens when thawed too quickly. Generally, I take them out the night before and let them thaw to room temp. Then I just put them in warm water for about 20 mins to get the body heat up. No problems that way.

  • @alvin41789 You arent doing it correctly.

First off, you need to soak it for 10-20 minutes in room temperature (or as hot as the sink goes) water.

Then you need to check if its soft all the way through. If it is, its ready to be fed to your snake.

If you want to add a finishing touch, you can have a small cup of boiling water and dip just the head of the rodent into the cup. And make sure its nice and dry, snakes dont like their food wet.

The guts are blowing up because ur boiling the mice

  • I need to recheck my cinny. "He" hasn't had any interest in the ladies this season...and "he" is 900 grams.

  • say i feed my snake frozen for a while and i want to feed it a live one just for show would it affect the way it would respond to frozen

  • it shouldnt

  • where can i get frozen mice?

  • all the big petstores will sell it petco petsmart

  • hey wats pre killed

  • you kill the rat/mouse before you feed your snake

  • @CheckOutMyBalls305 how do u kill it

  • @CheckOutMyBalls305 its when you buy a live mouse/rat and kill it you self then feed it to you snake

  • @CheckOutMyBalls305 plz tell me how long they live

  • I have had no problems offering F/T without prekilling just a good zombie dance :)

  • @ballpythonguys reatard

  • ok thanks, an dope intro checkmyballs

  • Hi mate, I'm getting a Ball/Royal Python. How do you heat them and also, where do you put the heat source?

Any help from anyone would be great?

    Thanks

  • my advice is get a book about ball pythons because books are the go to thigs for research

  • heat lamp or heat pad/under tank heater

  • THANKS

  • hey man i like your vids. i subbed.

do you use that thermostat for all the tubs in that rack?

  • Great videos. Could you just list the tub sizes for BP's from hatchling to adult hood of a large female? thanks and 5/5.

  • 5*s Great Video And Information. My Two Adult Ball Pythons Had Always Eaten Live Till Two Years Ago I Fed Live And Followed With Frozen Thawed And They Switched Right Over. I Was Lucky. So Many People Say It Can't Be Done But It Can Be With Work And Patience. It's So Much Healthier And Leaves Much Less Room For Injury.

  • Sweet feeding! Thanks for the tips too bbtw.. Im getting sick of these stupid rats and breeding them.. Its more work than you would think! Im gonna be ordering from rodent pro, and getting a freezer for them... Btw, another tip would be to defrost the rats IN the room your are feeding... This is called pre-scenting, and gets all the snakes into feeding mode.. As you saw, the pin was still chillin until you brought her down.. Pre-scenting makes them go wild looking for food...

    ~Brandon

  • I also us rodentpro, but i have to warn you their shipping is OUTRAGEOUS. I went to get a shipment of rats and the shipping was like $175 when the rats all together were only $200. Its terrible.

  • awsome

  • Nice tips! awesome BPs too 5*

  • Great concept.

But my ball python ate frozen-thawed without being used to tongs. As long as I moved it like a live rat would move, he took it.

  • yea, i know they might take F/T without all of this..but this is a good way to make sure they will...because you dont want to buy a huge shippment of frozen rodents then have your ball pythons not eat...but you can try to just offer frozen thawed

  • cool

  • sweet vid alex cool snakes

  • 1ST!! lol jp jp jp... Sweet video Alex. Lovely bp's.!
