  • Jane Froman's voice remains a national treasure. Beautiful voice, beautiful person. I've been introducing her music to my little nieces. My nieces will appreciate GOOD music, so help me.

  • She was an incredibly beautiful lady with an incredibly beautiful voice. I doubt that she'll ever be forgotten. RIP, Ellen Jane Froman.

  • And know what rgsilver1? YOU'RE also the south end of a northbound horse. Your repartee leaves much to be desired. Like a little knowledge of the Lanage of the Land. Dumkauf.

  • I was introduced to Jane Froman because of Susan Haywards Movie, 'With a song in my heart.' Wow, did I miss her? Thanks to Susan, and your wonderful site, I get to 'know' her. Thank you!

  • I love the movie starring Susan Hayward, and I knew that the singing was done by the real Jane Froman. I just had no idea how pretty the real Jane Froman was, I really enjoyed the beautiful photos. Thanks :D

  • While my first reaction was: SO WHERE IS JANE? Next reaction?: The images are beautiful; a vocal tribute by Sinatra is appropriate - and, I think, would have been a sincere tribute (from Sinatra himself). So, thank you so much for your contribution to perpetuate memories of Jane Froman and her extraordinary musical talent - and courageous and generous life!

  • she had a great tv show

  • Beautiful collection of Jane Froman photos, nice Sinatra tunes, and a very well done video.

  • Very nice job.

I enjoyed the pics, and also the beautiful voice of Frank Sinatra when he was still a young crooner. (Remind me to quit smoking..)

Most of those who know about Jane Froman at all, know her only from the Susan Hayward movie. And yet, she was once very famous and very popular.

As I watched this video, Shelley's poem "Ozymandias" kept going through my head.

  • uNTIL FINDING iNFO ON YOUTUBE ABOUT JANE FROMAN, I DID NOT REALIZE THE WONDERFUL JOB SUSAN HAYWARD DID IN PLAYING HER IN "WITH A SONG IN MY HEART". SUSAN SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AN OSCAR FOR THIS!! SADLY, SHE DIED AT 55 FROM A BRAIN TUMOR.

  • being in the airplane crash

    busted her up real bad

    but she kept going

  • Thanks for posting pics of my favorite female vocalist. It shows her beauty. We already knew she had a beautiful voice.

  • I don't understand. You are doing a tribute to a singer, but you have no recordings by her?

Jane's mother used to teach at Columbia before the name change. The school has a Jane Froman chorus which you can find on Youtube.

  • pics = free

    music = cost money

i was in the jane froman singers at cc when i made this it was for the school.

  • Un video delicioso, mi cantante preferido Frank Sinatra, homenajeando a Jane Froman, una magnifica voz.Gracias.

  • no hablo español

  • A lovely photo montage celebrating a great singer. But why not have Jane sing in accompaniment to the terrific photos?

  • i dont have any songs of hers thats all.

  • Private communication will follow in response to this.

  • What a surprise. Thank you SO much. Everyone says Jane Froman was even more beautiful than her photos show...that she was "an astounding beauty." I do know she was one of the best known girls at the University of Missouri and in 1952 returned as Coming Home Queen.

  • she actually went to and graduated from christian college which changed its name to columbia college. go cougars.

  • She is pictured in the University of Missouri yearbook the Savitar as a student.

    WB

  • Both true: When Jane was there, Christian College provided High School and a two-year college program; JF graduated from Christian, then enrolled in MU to finish.

  • Sinatra's music is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady.

  • Jane Froman's beautiful voice and her story where an inspiration to me when I first started to study voice as a boy. I had no idea that photo material existed of her, as I have seen here. Thank you for putting this collection together. Yes, I would rather hear her singing than anyone else, but this collection is wonderful. She continues to inspire, even now. A beautiful woman,a beautiful voice, a beautiful soul. Thank you again.

  • your welcome

  • @rgsilver1

It's YOU'RE welcome -- NOT your welcome. No more spellin, no grammar, even from "educated" people. What a pity.

    Yes, Froman was magnificent!

  • @RogerFaw1 your an idiot

  • I think it is a fine job. I don't see what's so sloppy about it. Geez.

  • I love and revere Jane Froman's memory and have seen most of these photos. This is a sloppy job. Sorry. You would have done better creating another Jane website and putting these photos on them.

  • who asked you

  • Josephine, You're a rude obnoxious idiot.

    Let's see what you have.

I've never seen more than a few of these photos and the only complaint I'd have is that I'd rather look at them hearing Jane sing but IT'S NOT MY VIDEO IS IT.

People like you are what make up the worst of the Internet's ability to meet and share with people.

You must be a real positive joy to be around in life.

    Toxic Bitch.

I'll be looking for your SUPERIOR version.
