  • Thanks for the video. Two questions:

    1. What happens to the micro plastic material that come off during drilling. Can't this damage the head?

    2. BG music is good, what is it?? ;)

  • @hkollar1 The plastic swarf is prevented from getting to the print head because the sponge in the main chamber acts as a filter

the music is Bali (meditation mix) by Antaeus

  • @ahammans Thanks so much. Will try this out. Hope won't end up messing the cartridge.

  • @ahammans What about chip?

  • @12POSEIDON12 The chip in 364, 564, 862 cartridges don't need resetting. When they show ink to be empty, just ignore.

  • nice music

  • Works like a charm, Thx (from France)

  • the yellow cartridge won;t give any ink during printing

and the blue one gives stripes during printing

  • Hi, the locking lever easy damage?

  • Very clear, very good, helpful, many thanks! Support!

  • hey does anyone knows how to bypass HP photosmart B110a series cartridge 364 expiration dates? does battery removing solves this problem for this kind of printer to?PLEASE HELP!! be.aija@inbox.lv

  • Thank you for the tips!I did it about a month ago and it works perfectly!

  • Excellent ! Thanks for the info ...Very Helpful

  • Sorry to hear your having trouble. try soaking up the sponge leak with tissue paper

    until it stops.

It might be due to over filling I only fill with a max of 6ml when cart is empty and less if it's not.

    Hope this helps

    Alan

  • I did this and the ink leaked from the corners of the cartridge. So covered the leaks with hot glue and the ink started to drip from the sponge. ?????

  • I have a question. As I filled up the sponge compartment, if I would soak the sponge too much, the cartridge would start to drip ink. Wouldn't a hole at the bottom through the solid partition (it is the only logical alternative, nonetheless) exacerbate the dripping, as the chamber at right is sponge free, so the ink would dispose of a bigger pressure at the hole, for there is no sponge in the right hand chamber (as illustrated in your video) that would balance the pressure like in the left side?

  • @BGSorin

The modification I made was to copy the way 364xl cartridges are made, they use the rear chamber as a ink well and do not have any sponge in this compartment. If you refill to a max of 6ml when empty they seem to work ok.

if you are refilling 364xl carts you will only need to drill a fill hole to inject the ink as the hole through to the sponge already exists

    Hope this helps Alan

  • @ahammans Thanks a lot for your answer. I will look into the 364xl refilling a bit deeper... I guess I jumped too fast with the comment. I desperately needed a solution for refilling the cartridges and didn't have the time to dig deeper.

Good video, helped me a lot (I didn't know about the empty chamber on the right).

  • Good work sir, be careful with that drill! What happens with the chip, any resetting to do? HP have 2 364 cartridges, make sure you folks buy the right one! Den in England.

  • @denzlepob

Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a way to reset the chip but the printer still works without resetting. If you find a way I would Love to know

    Regards Alan

  • Excellent video mate, thanks very much for posting it. Am I right in thinking that, if you are modifying the 364XL cartridge, you only need to put the filling hole in the top? Thanks again

  • @Bunximo That's right mate and a rubber bung or tape to seal it.

  • @ahammans thank u very much for the info! i dont really know how this sponge works,so i needed that kind of info. Ill make video response of how i did it ;) just gimme few days;)

  • @mondychan okey,so i decided to go "non destructive way" ... i simply refilled the ink, trought the sponge on the bottom of the cartridge...its not expanded to "XL",but its witout any risk....anybody can do that! :)

  • wouldnt there be some plastic leftovers from drilling the hole inside?

would this work the same way, just with drilling a hole on the top of the sponge chamber (it would mantain the same size, but witout risk of dirt inside from drilling) ?? :))

    Thank you mate!

  • @mondychan

You are right to say there is some plastic swarf left inside but this is filtered by the sponge and can’t get through to the print head.

You can refill just the sponge chamber like you suggest but the ink capacity will be reduced and require filling more often

    Regards Alan

  • where can i find the OCP ink i see on the video ?

  • @labrouss you can find this on ebay (search for ''refill hp 364 cartridges'' and look for the picture of OCP ink bottles.

  • @labrouss you can also find it on google search for ''hp 364 cartridge ink ciss''

    all the best Alan

  • @ahammans Many thanks mate, i've already order some, great howto by the way !

  • does it work?? i did it but my printer prints only white sheets, why ??

  • @tomek20pp Yes it worked for me on all 5 cart's I refilled them as they became empty all I can sugest is to 1. make shure the air Hole is not blocked 2. run a cleaning cycle. If you take the cart out and squeeze the side you should see ink on the sponge at the outlet hole.Best of luck Alan.

  • Thank You very much for your help :) it's started printing as new. Thank's again.

  • @tomek20pp Excellent video mate, thanks very much for posting it. Am I right in thinking that, if you are modifying the 364XL cartridge, you only need to put the filling hole in the top? Thanks again

  • Neat! Thanks!

  • tidy, thanks!
