I really love it, although it's dizzying. Have you tried simply displaying the black line, without showing the colored points? It might better show the calligraphic properties of the line if it is not interrupted. If that seems too monochromatic, perhaps the color of the line itself could change, based on the key area being used at the moment.
@MisterHowe Without the note dots in the future, you can't tell where it's going to go, which isn't as good. The version I'm working on now has a smoother path, and I'm hoping that will make it easier to look at. We'll see.
@C0urante That's how it was at first. It made it more rhythmic, but also jerkier. Neither was a clear winner. I left it this way, but I may use the other way in the future.

It seems too flowing with a line growing between each note; have you tried making the line appear instantaneously?
