@fenix611 no there's no bachata in it, theres only merengue, some afrocarribbean music and a salsa made by some puertoricans (im puertorican) but i have to say that it becomes kind of repetitive. i have the game and even te radio host sounds very repetitive as you play it. and if you dont have a slight knowledge of economics and politics or how a govrmnt is run this is not agood game i actually find it very chanllenging

Idea of comunism wasnt bad at all. It just that leaders used that ideology for their purposes (just like in modern "democracy"). As for game piracy: novadays games are damn expensive; with payment around 600€ and game that cost 40€ or so its just not worth to buy it. Not that i support piracy, but atm this is the only way to get it. I've bought may games directly from distributors, but i also have many non original ones too. If the game is good, then i'll buy it.

The reason games cost 10€ more these days is because it costs like 10 times as much to make a good one today than it did ten years ago, and ten times the amount of people are pirating them, leaving developers with about a tenth of the revenue they should be getting, that is if you believe the developers of World of Goo...

Piracy mostly robs a nonexistent market. I downloaded games all the time when I was a kid because I simply didn't have the money to build a library. I bought when I could, and pirated when I couldn't. The developers lost nothing because they wouldn't have gotten my business anyway.

As a result, one of my main hobbies is STILL video gaming on a broad spectrum of genres. Today, my library swells with classics and new titles, thanks to being able to legally hold a job.

play the demo its funner than the sims but in ways its like the sims but better. you can have the ppl assassinated or throw them in prison like if there causing a ruckuss. its fun to see how miserable they will live and make them deforest the Island with massive logging camps and living in shacks. I created this slum with cows walking down the sidewalks and locked it down with a big military presence. they failed at every revolt and were forced to work in sweatshops for $2 a day.

This game was fully developed in Germany- so I guess this would be more like "German Propaganda". And considering the Germans' history with propaganda, I'd just assume let them get away with this "fun game."

It's a city building game set in the Carribbean during the Cold War; you have to basically live out a successful career as a politican; be it dictator, president, w/e... You also have to keep all your different segments of society happy; the intellectuals, religious idiots, the military, etc. and the two Cold War Superpowers; the USA and USSR, all happy...

I've never played it but I am going to pick up Tropico 1 and the demo of this; I was too young when it first came out :)
