this is what I do with my hair every sunday night. I had no idea that someone else did the same thing. My hair is very thick and would take all day if it was rolled and set. I use conair 1 1/2 inch barrel curler.

the best hair straitner is "chi" it straitens and can curl ure hair too its awsome it takes like 10 mins to straiten all ure hair (thick long hair)

Oh wow. I used to have hair down my back...and going through this process drove me crazy....so i finally learned how to roller set it. It was the best thing I ever did, and it's not as hard as people think. I found my hair to be healthier after that because I didn't use as much heat, and wrapping it every night helped to hold the curl. So please please please give it another try, I guarantee you'll love it!

aah this is interesting. i usually silken with the flat iron but then it doesn't really have much curl or shape so i end up wrapping or curling anyway to get shape. i'm going to try this. thanks!!!!!

why is it that when people (black people) see a dark skinned girl with long hair the assume its weave. it pisses my off. so i dont straighten my hair any more. people pull it trying to check for tracks.

i think that's because it's not very common for black women to have long hair that's real,girl so what if they think it's fake,you know it's yours,show it off and keep straightening it,who cares about them other girls

exactly i would keep straightening it! dont let them control you. when i use to "sport" weave alot of girls(mostly girls with short hair) thought it was mine, one girl even wanted to check for tracks lol even though its kinda a different subject but i never took it seriously and just kept going my way! Even sometimes they may not mean it in a rude way.

yeah i use a different technique my hair is way to puffy and thick to use that fat curler i have to buy very exspensive ceramic flat irons and i like my hair to have sheen to it so i use hot 6 oil or motions spray or frezz free but i think yours is a very easy way i wish it was that easy for me ..lol ,nice video
