Had to come back to Paris and hear 'Wish You Were Here' on the bongo once more....btw, you missed my singing debut last Saturday nite on Comfortably Numb. Unfortunately (or fortunately) there was no recording going on and my friend's camera had the wrong lens setting all night long and everything was a blur (literally and figuratively).

The centre of my world. There are places here that are very familiar and some that are not. I love this place with a passion, despite the litter and the dog pooh!!!!

I have watched this video before and I will probably watch it again. It is fun to see some elses 'take' on a place.

@roadbiketraveller The litter is no worse than many big cities...but most sadly noticeable on the grounds of Sacre Coeur,the night-time teenage hang-out place. I have scraped the pooh from my shoe more than once and look forward to the chance to do it there again. Thanks for bringing me back here...

The Paris' jazz scene is something especially. It is often a mixture of jazz and gypsy music. The father of them all is Django Rheinhardt!

Yes...I couldn't stop filming that last set of performers.I wish the sound was better,but it was shot on the sidewalk just down from the Moulin Rouge and it was so noisy....they were really good.

I wanted to come back and say how MUCH I enjoyed this vid, all of it, but that one view in particular grabbed me,..that is the young man on the steps playing to a small group..(1:31) the enormity of Paris as you lift your camera and sweetp the horizon....just captured my heart..also the accordian player when he realised you had the camera on him, and his turning to face you, truly "on stage" for the camera....everyminute enjoyed....

it was just so nice to see people soaking in the beauty of the arts...i may be off base here, but, it seems that kind of appreciation for the arts is lacking here stateside, much more these days and more as time moves on here, but for a moment i felt calm, i saw happy faces, they are not a country at war, they are at peace, i got that from your video for just a mere 8 minutes of pure bliss...it was really a sight to see, and hear. There is a different feel and ambiance there,true. Also keep in mind I was at a lot of touristy places and a lot of those people were not French. And in many places there are fully equipped soldiers and police patrolling,for there are other issues there.But there is a style,a peace,and a harmony there too.

Ah yes! Paris, my favourite city. I was on the metro once and two accordian players came on from different ends of the carriage, and proceeded to jam together. Magic! This video brings back memories of many good times.
