I absolutely love that you made this video. This was my everyday look in the beloved 1980s, and yes Souxie was my muse, but I must say even today as a 40 something female, I still have quite the love of this form of makeup expression. AND I don't follow any of the so-to-speak of rules about not wearing this or that when one becomes a certain age, because makeup and Souxie will always be my heart and soul. Keep on your gorgeous....applause to you!
Thank you so much for this video - I've been looking all over for a cut crease tutorial, and the other ones are all a bit "off" in the end look. Yours is perfect!
Your finished look reminds me of Pink. I can't remember if it was a cd cover, or just a photo that she had taken. Looks really nice. I have to try this.
i just purchased the mac pro mixing medium eyeliner and the other one in shine. i have extremly oily eyelids and they both creased within 4 hours and i have tried MANY differerent products for my eyelids such as UDPP and TFSI. i have stilla's smudge pot and seems to work the best but only for about 6 hours and i would love some tips/advice/product that would stop this problem. or if someone else would comment to help would be much appreciated. thx so much :)
@vintagecar6 As I see you've commented here, I;m guessing you haven't found much luck finding a very good, clear answer about how to tackle oily eyelids. There is a common misconception that the skin must always be moisturized... or primed. It doesn't always need to be moisturized, if your skin naturally produces too much oil, but your skin is clean prior to application of any makeup. Don't moisturize it, you will overload your skin and cause unwanted effects.
@xxmichaeljames A lot of make-up brands advertise "oil free" things as a good option, this doesn't always neccesarily work if you have oily skin, as oil-free things are usually water based, and if you have oil on your skin... Well, we all know that oil and water to not blend, they resist and this is what is causing the creasing to happen. My advice would be to cleanse the eye area before application, and use a touch of concealer (if neccesary) as a base, and I mean a touch.
@xxmichaeljames on a fluffy brush just buffed in, a good example would be a mac 217 brush, but any will do really. then apply any eyeshadow look you want, if you try this and it still isn't satisfactory, set your eyeshadow with a translucent/transparent face powder. If you lose any of the intensity of the eyeshadow, just touch up the parts that need it.
@vintagecar6 Maybe a tiny blob of Illamasqua matte primer or MAC's matte primer on the lids beforehand would help. I agree with Michael about moisturising if you don't need it.
@vintagecar6 hey girl i have the same problem too and if i put UDPP on my eye it will crease right away. So what i do is put a little bit of UDPP and then i'll set it with a wash of any skin color matte eyeshadow an example for me is Mac Blanc Type or Orb and this also helps to blend the colors. I also agree with michael with the whole moisturizing , just avoid putting any of it on your eye lids. I hope this helps :D
I love what you've done with your eyebrows in this video. It's very synthetic meets natural? The way you've blended them to achieve a natural look is perfect for a more casual setting. Something I shall have to try as I'm used to a very solid line which doesn't always work =/ perhaps another tutorial on exactly how you achieved them? :P
you have such a sexy voice D: plus i got told i sounded like you the other day, and i didnt know who you where, but yeh i spose the person who told me i do... was complimenting me ? :) x
I tried this look today, and you're so right. You need fake lashes for this one. It still looked cute, but def not the same. Anywho, thanks for posting the wicked make up videos. You're beyond awesome. ^___^
You`re awesome, beyond words! This look is hot, and definitely needs some pvc, I work in an office but I love these strong looks, I wish I could wear things like this everyday :D
@xVideoKidx1 I don't use a specific brand, because I can't seem to find ones that I 100% love, so I change them often. order off the internet or drug store, whichever works! xo
I don't wear nearly as much eye makeup as you do, but it's such a pain to remove...despite being a pleasure to apply! How do you remove your eye makeup?
Are you drunk in this video, Michael? lol
