@Dramen93 I do, but I found a way to fix it. At the beginning; let the video run for a second or two then pause it. Let the ENTIRE video buffer, then play it. if it doens't work then I don't know what will. That fixed my problem though.

I have to be honest, I am now looking forward more to Vindictus (which is made by Nexon) than MechScape. And that's a game from NEXON. I mean, I think that Jagex has lost their vast consumer base here. I'm sorry to say it, but it's true. I don't know how popular this will be if it ever gets released, but, I think I'd rather spend my time on a Nexon game than something made by Jagex now.

I just looked at the Steller sawn website, the place it shows you in the 1st picture is a newer falodor, lumbridge is now a factory, and draynor has a masive underground cemertery with a grave it it, you can type your runescape name in and it will tell u what levil they were and how many deaths they had, check now if you dont belive me.

UPDATE: The release of Mechscape and its current game parameters have indeed been canceled.... but Jagex have announced that they are releasing an MMO in 2010. The game is being based of what they learned from Mechscape and Runescape. Rumours are circulating that it will be Mechscape reworked.

Also, a more engrossing storyline, complicated game-play but accessible, player built vehicles + spaceships, giant robots, 4 playable races with different abilities and back-stories, you get to choose your alliances which shape the path of your adventure and finally cloning. That's all I got, my summary for what I know. =p

The complexity of the controls would make it very difficult, if not impossible to make for a console. Plus, their philosophy is to stick to the browser.

Most of the popular consoles have USB ports which you could easily set up a mouse and keyboard. If Runescape was to run much more smoothly on my PS3 then on my PC, seting those up wouldn't be difficult.

They do use the best engine possible and that's RuneTek5, it's just that they don't use it to its full potential. We will have a lot more in Mechscape though. Sky boxes, bigger scale + scope, particle effects, specula lighting, water shadows, and some other graphical stuff. It will have a lot better music than Runescape and better sound effects (I would guess). You will use wasd + point n click (best of both worlds). You will have a base as soon as you start, drivable vehicles and spaceships.

1)Jagex have seperate teams for each game, 1 for RuneScape, 1 for FunOrb and 1 for Mechscape.

2)New games attract new audiences which is important for game developers.

3)I prefer Medieval over Futuristic too but it would be nice to try something new.

4)Again Jagex have seperate teams so RuneScape WILL still get it's updates.

I agree with DarkAngel, but according to Jagex, they have two teams to work on Runescape and mechscape, so expect updates for Runescape as well.

IMO, in some ways, Grinding sometimes takes the fun out of it. In this kind of way, Jagex was right, "it will be like no other MMO" Just look at the other MMO's and high lvls like WoW. I just don't know how this game is gonna be set-up. I'm anxious.
