Disney would totally love to create movies like this except that 2d animation movies cannot compete against 3d animation movies and live action movies as well as they did back then. Disney was trying to bring back 2d animation movie with "The Princess and The Frog" but it never made enough profit and not to mention the songs weren't as memorable as Disney's old classic songs. Also this was the reason for Disney's Tangled to be in 3d so it could at least compete against its competitions.

i honestly think there is no such this as a good cartoon movie anymore. things went downhill fast in the 2000's. not only did 90's movies have some of the greatest hits of music they also still make sequels to the 90's originals. like toy story and they may actually make a new lion king.
