TO ALL OF YOU. The Green Lantern Corp and the Sinestro Corps are NECK TO NECK with Power. Everyone has a Will, and Everyone has it's opposite, FEAR. The Sinestro Corp's Yellow Rings are powered by Fear. If a Green Lantern gives into fear, he is powerless around a yellow ring. Actually Alan Scott was the original human GL. But yeah as far as the Guardians of the Universe era Hal is. John Stewart is just a sh*tty GL who couldn't control his ring and blew up a planet by accident killing all but one. Fatality. Who then killed a crap load of GL's after Hal went rogue.

No, anything that is yellow can be used against a green lantern. So those that wear a yellow ring is supposely stronger but remember that its the will of the green lantern that can overcome this. But its hard though.

@hamelzz actully Yellow is an impurity to the Green Lanterns making yellow stronger if the green lantern has fear but if the green lantern has no fear but accepts fear he/she bypasses the yellow impurity thing

@hamelzz Look, its a concept of the comic. The Yellow and the blue battery have come from the Green, like a copy of the primal Green technology. Blue + Yellow = Green.

@hamelzz Green is only yellow + blue when dealing with mixing pigments like in paint or ink. Green Lantern's more based on the visible light spectrum, where white light through a prism splits into a rainbow and each color is separate.

@hamelzz green doesn't lose it's power but it is drained if they do not strengthen them selves. The key is to remember fear. To many lanterns think that to be a lantern is to be courageous. But courageous isn't fearless.It is merely overcoming fear.

@hamelzz I can now see why Hal Jordan was able to have both a Blue, and Green ring. Blue is a component of Yellow. I just don't get why he can't have yellow. To heck with corruption...what about color schemes. Will power VS Fear ? I just don't get it...
