why shoot in 60P and convert it to 24p, when you can just shoot in 24p? What's the difference?

@lfcruzsierra shooting in 60p then conforming down gives you slow motion since you have all those extra frames.

@acidcub3 Thanks! Any idea why the GH2 footage doesn't look as filmic as the Canons when shooting in 24p? I've heard about using FD lenses, filters and low-con settings, but I haven't seen a video on the GH2 with that film look ,yet.

If by "filmic" you mean 35mm film-like then you're right it doesn't look like something from a full frame sensor. However, the footage from the GH2 still looks very movie-like, almost like something shot by a RED digital cinema camera.
