maybe it was two or three years ago, i was on vacation to california in the winter and would listen to owen pallett and owen pallett only and stare at the cold california sea, feeling myself less and less in tune with reality halfway across the world as a stranger amongst cold, dark waves that i felt i could only throw myself into. this song was the height of my loneliness, and to this day i feel unbearably empty whenever i hear it.
