There are a lot of idiots who say MSNBC is biased. If so then why is Keith Olbermann attacking Hillary Clinton about her comment. Hillary Clinton a left-wing poitican being attacked by a left-wing news anchor. Why on earth will Olbermann being doing this? Because MSNBC is fair and balanced. Liberals will attack other liberals wrong doings. Unlike Conservatives/Republicans.
America is still healing. She doesn't have to bring it up..even now it is still hard to belive that he is gone. She has gone too far. First Gandhi and Bobby Kennedy.

this guy supports squelching free speech almost every broadcast...since when is being offensive or rude a crime? answer: if it doesn't fit their philosophy it's a crime to the political correctness crowd. when I was a kid all you said in return was "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me," now the PC crowd, and olberman is their champion freak out whenever anyone says anything that offends their fragile sensibilities....pussies is what they are
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this is the left's philosophy: squelch free speech. don't hurt anyone's feelings. pretend we haven't kicked the shit out of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Ignore terrorism, and wait for the next attack and then blame it on Bush. Blame everything on Bush. Give away delegates to the poster child of liberalism based on exit-polls!! Celebrate perversity, oops, I mean diversity. Enslave black people through government programs. This guy is a putz of the first order
He's not attacking free speech. It's that she was crass enough to promote the idea of her political opponent being assassinated. That's the type of shit they say in third world countries. And as for "kickin Al-Qaeda's ass" in Iraq - need I remind you - they weren't even in Iraq until that asshole Bush invaded it. The hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis. Taking a country into war based on lies is considered treason. And that's what Dubya did. According to the US constitution, he is guilty of treason.
the 9/11 guys were egyptians and saudis...as are most of the foreign terrorists we've killed in iraq.....thousands of the fuckers....al quaeda has stated that iraq is the central front for them..which 1987 Datsun pickup truck full of scum do you want to surrender to? liberals have no balls, we are doing the world a great favor in iraq....dems are a bunch of pussies...but that's obvious
Interesting how you can't back up anything with facts & all you can do is resort to name calling. Aren't you a little old for that? As for Dems being pussies? My uncle was a Dem, served 2 tours of duty in Nam & died of cancer thanks to agent orange. This, while your macho Repukes like Chimpy, Cheney, Buchanan, Rush, etc. were getting deferments or having their rich daddies get them into the champagne unit of the National Guard so they could get shit faced & snort coke. That's all I have to say.
She owes Obama & the Kennedy family an apology. What she said was disgusting, in extremely poor taste. She knew exactly what she was saying, what she meant by it. Obama received Secret Service protection earlier than anybody else because of death threats. She knows that, just as she knows how badly RFK's assassination scarred so many people in this country. With that statement she was basically putting that idea into people's heads. All it takes is one crazy SOB. That woman has no class.
is suddenlystarted making these off-color remarks like she's trying to throw the Dem. party!I mean think about it. She's a member of the CFR, Her husband is a 33 degree mason and a member of the Trilateral Group and Bilderberg Group. She could be trying to throw the Democratic Party for real. I get those vibes because as intelligent as she is, she's been making comments boardering on ATTACK FROM WITHIN.
Umm this happened before. LBJ slid right into JFK's spot when he was assassinated in 1963. Maybe she touched off a trigger phrase for the "unknown assassin" REMEMBER MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE.
I think we can give Hillary the benefit of the doubt. I find it hard to believe she's thinking "If only someone would assassinate him that would be great, then I'd win for sure." Olbermann spent 4 mins explaining his "...cold blooded killers" comment. He wanted us to know that he could have never meant the troops, so why can't Hillary get that same courtesy? Of all people he should know how it feels when the meaning of your message gets lost in the words you choose.
He is BEYOND SCARY - not only is he a war criminal, I think as we get to know him we may find out he is anti-American. His wife's comments, his association with Rev. Hagel, his association with other war criminals (BUSH) is VERY scary. It would be sad if we elect a man, we do not know because he avoids telling the truth, and gives a terrible speach! Wow!
It's Hilarious! Clinton as usual says something Stupid (Again) and now she's the Victom. Yes AGAIN!!! Ho-Hum. It's like their stock answer. It was early in the day so she was understandably exhausted, so it's Obama's fault. At least a person like Stephen Colbert lets you know that he's being sarcastic and it's merely political satire. But the Clintons use the same tactic and present it as Reality (Somehow in their minds it's true) Simply Delusional!!!
Hillary is only staying around for the limelight. She know's she can't win and after she's finally thrown under the bus by the fact that Obama has clinched the nomination(and her own mouth), she knows she'll never see this kind of attention again(Oh GOD, Thank You) .....But for the Self-Centeredness and ME, ME, ME of the Clintons, We could be finished with this Nightmare!
BARACK HUSSIEN OBAMA is the most inspiring, intelligent, educated, qualified and humble person, to seek the office of President, in the history of America!
The educated and well informed, are voting for Obama.
His only weakness is the color of his skin.
AMERICA SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!
They like Obama in Germany, France, Spain, Japan, China, India,
"we ain't no white trash here,we are good folk"-west virginia hillary supporter to a cnn reporter...............ah slackjaw, you forgot about all the dumb dumbs that love her in oklahoma too!
The Clinton's have gathered an army coalition of feminist cave dwelling, evil-doers and toothless, close minded, dense, ignorant rednecks in the Appalachian region running through Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. They are marching forward salivating, the destruction of Barack Obama by assassination, and or the Democratic Party, and all that we have hoped for.
Why was danielvg85's comment marked as spam? He's make a very reasoned argument which, I might add, is also supported by Bobby Kennedy's son, Robert Kennedy, Jr.!
My last post should read: "Those of us who bothered to listen will help HIM win while people like you will be whining in your house about why this happening. Enjoy!"
I don't believe Hilary Clinton meant for anyone to consider 'whacking' Obama. She just made a stupid ill-timed remark....hardly the stuff required of Presidents.
If you want a look inside the soul of the Clinton's. Just remember, the last Clinton administration, Janet Reno, Waco Tx., and the foul stench, of those burning little American babies, inside that building.
Why is she still in this race? What are these "super" delegates waiting for....an actual attempt?? They need to shut her down now. This has to be the last straw...we as a nation cannot let her continue this.
Why is she allowed to walk freely? This is a person with power intent to due harm to others because her entitled ass cant accept the fact that what was never hers is being given to its rightful heir.
Most everyone on the planet knows exactly what she was doing and we know she knows exactly what she was doing. She is horrible and anyone who still supports her weill be horrible too.
These who throw their stones will find that at the end of this campaign, we Hillary supporters will throw the last stone when we vote for McCain over Obama shattering his glass closet full of trash! Hillary Clinton is a very respectful and admirable lady. She has worked so hard for many years for all of us Americans. She supported MLK in his fight to win the rights of the black community. Now, she is being spat on by the people she tried to help. The media wants Obama. He is an impetent joke!
No one has expressed the feeling I had yesterday the way you did in your special comment!!! My blood was boiling with HRC's comment and her non-apology apology.
This is absolutely disgusting! Hillary Clinton is actually broadcasting a non-too-subtle message out there for some nut to come forth and assasinate Obama for her -- in the twisted form of a "shining knight" coming to the rescue of a "damsel in distress". She knows full-well that all she needs to do is to convince that one lone nut out there with a demented racial agenda and/or some sicko out there with a fixation on her and the thorn in her eye would be eliminated forever.
Keith Olbermann was better as a Sportscaster. His adventures into news and modern politics is entertaining but less than enlightening. Good commentary here... but as his diatribe about all the things we've forgiven HRC over... makes me wonder, why did he wait so long?
Friday it was reported, Bill Clinton stated Hillary has earned the right to be on the
ticket, as VP. It appears these low life scum sucking raw bastards, are waiting in the wings, hoping to take over the reins of the campaign, or the Government, if Obama gets
assassinated either before or after the General Election.
Super-delegates need to step in and take her out. She has clearly demonstrated, she is fit to be President or Vice President.
And his comments might carry a bit more weight if it weren't for the unending stream of near-snuff porn about Bush and Cheney, and calls from the left for "Where's John Wilkes Booth when you need him?" There have been movies made that fantasize about Bush's murder, and Bush and Cheney are hung in effigy at most anti-war rallies.
So, why is it that I never heard Olbermann go off about these things? Because it was President Bush being killed...
Hillary has finally made her path to the nomination clear! She had no real clear path, and others wonder way she is still in a campaign that is in debt, with the math against her. We now know, she is hoping against hope that something happens to Obama, so she can get the nom.
Didn't Hillary say that, Obama is only running his campaign on hope. Isn't it ironic how she is the one running on hope now!
"...A senator, a politician, a person who can let hang in mid-air the prospect that she might just be sticking around in part...just in case the other guy gets shot has no business being and no capacity to be the President of the United States."
What she hope for or what she meant is no longer relevant - it's over! Olbermann very last sentence remark is the very key message why she's no long a viable candidate to represent us as citizens.
Ok, for the 1ST time ever (!!!), I think he's wayyyyyyyy off his rocker. She knows it was a dipshit thing to say, and I don't even remotely think that she meant that she hopes he gets killed.
No she did not say she hoped it would happen she sited the incident to say hey...it could happen...thereby saying this is one of the possibilities that will make a way for me to be president...subconscious thoughts or thinking out loud are sometimes wishfull thinking... All I know is I have been sick to my stomach ever since I witnessed the video of her saying that.
"Barack is so like Bobby...With courage, caring, and charisma, Senator Obama is leading us toward a kinder, gentler world." ~Ethel Skakel Kennedy (RFK's wife who endorsed Obama)~
Anyone who says Obama is not like RFK... I'm sorry but I believe his OWN WIFE KNEW HIM BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE!!
he was talking in terms of whether or not his family was offended, which frankly most of us were not concerned about. The reason for most of the outrage was that her comments could be taken as meaning she's waiting for Barack to die. The Obama family were the people who deserved the apology for the misunderstanding.
SHE should apologize to THEM because her words were misconstrued? I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. It isn't HER fault the media and these hyperventilating Obamatons created this melodrama. THEY should be apologizing to HER!
And, for the record, the Kennedy family ARE a part of this country. Robert, Jr. didn't just issue that statement as a Kennedy, but an American as well.
It's ridiculous to assume that one's family and one's country are not mutually exclusive components of one's identity.
Obama can NOT pick Hillary as his VP. It would be a bad partnership just like Kennedy and Johnson was. Obama has had to have secret service earlier than any other candidate. She was well aware at what she said, and she is well aware of the death threats against Obama.
I have known all along that Hillary was upto something that dark! This explains why she was not in a hurry to answer Obama during the 12 consecutive losses earlier in the race. It is quite disturbing to know now that she was until yesterday assured of winning the nomination through her "white, hardworking rural" assistance in assasinating Obama in June. Oh my God, what an evil person!
Clinton is a dumb fucking cunt that sucks of the Bilderberg Group, The Trilateral Commission and anyone else that is worth over 100 million dollars... what a stinky cunt!
Sen. Clinton is obviously unable to filter the words that come out of her mouth. Sniper fire from Bosnia, and now this? Is this really the person that we want to be the image of America project around the world?
What is the problem! Reality is her forefront. It is not a matter of hatred. It is a matter of reality. Get off your soapbox! Realism sucks. Hilary did nothing but touch a nerve. The new world order will not tolerate a peaceful campaign. They want a warmonger in office. Step in John McCain.
Maybe we should learn from the history that HRC is quoting. These primaries should not go until June b/c then we might have what happened in 1968 occur again. Assassinations, Riots, Chaos, Loss and NIXON
I cannot forgive you this Hillary.
I pray to God that nothing happens to Barack Obama. I don't know what I would do with myself.
always try to look at the "flip" side,like-"obama can't seal the deal",well hillary"can't gain any ground"............alan colmes-"what is the point of super delegates if they can t overturn??"-well then what is point of primaries and caucuces????
The first I heard of this was at the tailend of a media panel pundit's position commentary this am. I heard just enough of it to piece it together to make sense of what was said.
Hillary has no business being president.
Her supporters are dominated with bitter feminists from the 60s who are accompanied by bitter daughters they raised.
It is better to be in the wilderness than in a house with a contentious woman.
Men, can you imagine life with a woman like Hillary?
I really thought that the "assasination" tied with "waiting for something to happen" painted the image that "she is waiting for something big to happen" that would open the door to the object of her desire. "Something BIG" screamed something concerning Obama.
Why would Obama suddenly drop out??
Remember Ross Perot? Find out why he dropped out.
I am convinced that Obama scares people and it aint the American people. But those corrupt in powerful places.
Wow. Olberman seemed very passionate about this and I can't blame him. That as a disgusting or at least very stupid comment she made. Good for Olberman for calling her out, not just for the statement, but for the halfassed apology.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Fuck you, Mr. Olbermann.
Ever since the Rev. Wright scandal broke, all these Obamaniacs have been looking for that one clip THEY could loop over and over to shove in Hillary's face. As if that would help the fact that their WEAK candidate CAN'T EVEN SEAL THE DEAL after winning all those states in a row.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
But there's no controversy here. Keith's "comment" is rife with O'Reilly-style manipulations.
After agreeing with Hillary's spokesman that, in fact, Hillary certainly doesn't wish Obama would be assassinated, he nevertheless beats to death the fact that she used the word at all and proceeds to draw unfounded comparisons between Obama and RFK himself.
Pure propaganda for the Obama campaign, for a candidate who, honestly, is no Bobby Kennedy.
I'm a Hillary supporter, but even I'll admit that she wasn't in a position to seal the deal until she won Pennsylvania. That said, if Michigan and Florida's delegates were counted (and they will have to be at the convention), Obama wouldn't have even had that lead of his.
Obama's in trouble; anyone can see that. He's failed to stem the tide against Hillary since Pennsylvania, he still says Florida and Michigan's vote shouldn't count and, quite frankly, he's running out of black voters. And it IS about race; Rev. Wright made sure of that.
What a convenient time for them to manufacture this outrage against Hillary! Wasn't Obama the one who was supposed to be against "distractions" and "the same old Washington politics"?
1) They're PLEDGED delegates, subtlefuge. Obama's inability to beat Hillary down the stretch may make some delegates change their vote at the convention, which they CAN do. Don't forget Michigan and Florida will demand to be seated as well.
2) The issue is the REMAINING states; his performance in your list of states is irrelevant. One could argue just as easily that Montana and South Dakota will go the way of Kentucky.
3) Incorrect. Those are both direct quotes from Obama himself.
1. Even if you count Florida (Michigan would be ridiculous since Obama wasn't even on the ballot), he would still lead in delegates, super delegates, popular vote, and total states won. He's also been polling higher vs. McCain than Clinton in recent weeks. Why would the delegates switch to a loser? Do you think they want McCain to win?
2. Even if Hillary wins 100% of the vote in both MT & SD, Obama would still be ahead.
3. I'm talking about Clinton mentioning assassination--multiple times.
By saying "ridiculous" in 1), subtelfuge, are you saying that Michigan shouldn't be seated at the convention?
As for "polling in recent weeks," check out electoral-vote(dot)com. Their collection of recent polls says Hillary would beat McCain 314-207 in Nov. Obama: only 266-248, which is close enough for McCain to steal it.
And, to correct myself on point 3), I'm not blaming Obama for what Hillary said. I'm blaming Obama's supporters (like Keith) for completely misinterpreting Hillary.
By saying "ridiculous" in 1), subtelfuge, are you saying that Michigan shouldn't be seated at the convention?"
Short answer: no, unless it's a re-vote or 50/50 seating. The state party broke the rules, so there are consequences. BTW, Hillary was in favor of not seating them at all when she campaigned in Iowa and NH, but then did a 180 afterward. This shows she's just a pandering politician who will do and say anything to win. Also, you misspelled my name.
Pandering?! This is election IS about winning, subtlefuge. By your logic, who's to say that I can't be just as justified in saying that Obama is pandering for saying Michigan shouldn't be counted? After all, that's in HIS best interests.
Given the choice, I'll pick the candidate who says all the votes should be counted. I don't want another 2000 debacle.
If Kerry had run his campaign better, he might have won it. The democrats were so stupid of their strategic analysis. I was living in Michigan at the time and they called me to help campaign. I told those idiots they already had Michigan locked, and what they needed to do was focus on PA, OH and FL. Those were the only swing states of importance and the winner of two of those three was going to win the Presidency.
Story of my life. No one listens and they fall on their ass as a result.
First of all, McCain wants to run against Obama. The old war veteran wants to run against the young weak peace candidate and the fact that McCain had the whole "illegitimate black child" thing thrown at him in 2000's gonna make the mudslinging REAL nasty. And, to be honest, I don't think Obama has the endurance to weather such a storm. He can't even shake Hillary!
As for your translation, subtlefuge, I don't see how you can conclude whose delegates are "solid" or "vulnerable." I'd like to hear the reasoning behind your conclusion before I discuss it further.
"nadeau1064 (1 hour ago) [...] He can't even shake Hillary!"
He already has. Everybody knows it except for the Clintons and their followers who apparently live in their own reality where the rules of math don't apply.
Oh, and the Republicans are also helping to spread this myth so the Democrats will have a brokered convention. Is that what you want?
YES! Jesus, subt-EL-fuge, is that even a question?! I'd much rather have a brokered convention than let the mass media and the Obamatons select my candidate before we even get to Denver!
This is why we HAVE conventions: just in case a race is this close, there is still a means for delegates to select a candidate!
And let me remind you once again: OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH DELEGATES YET!
This is the biggest problem I have with the Obama campaign: they take terms which define our electoral process such as a "brokered convention" and "superdelegates" and turn them into negative concepts just because they might make it harder for Obama to get the nod.
Well, tough shit, folks, that's the process. And, yes, both Hillary AND Obama have to follow it. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
eh? How did they do that? What is hard to understand about that they shouldn't even have COUNTED after breaking the rules? How can Clinton feel proud to claim victory in a place where she was the ONLY player? It doesn't sound PATHETIC to you supporters? Are you all that desperate? Do you even KNOW that she SUPPORTED THE PENALTIES FL and MI got in THE FIRST PLACE?? It is blatant hypocrisy. Amazing that it can all be done with straight faces.
Barack isn't letting her get her unfair advantage, and somehow this makes HIM the bad guy! By the way, we don't even know how the results would have been had he COMPETED there, so she may not have the strangle hold on those states she's claiming to have.
Clearly, you're not from Michigan or Florida, are you, Rosannasfriend? If you were, even with all else being equal, I'm sure you'd be singing a far different song.
How would YOU feel if your vote in this, the closest primary season in ages, didn't count? That you had NO ROLE in selecting your party's candidate?
And what if, in this hypothetical, Obama were trailing?
Speculative, yes, but in your response, I think you'd find some hypocrisy there as well.
I am from Fl. We knew for a long time our vote would not be counted. We also knew that the delegates would eventually be seated. If you live in Fl. and didn't know you must have had your head in the sand for 8 months prior to the election. Our pary broke the rules. I know the repubs had a hand in it, but the Dems offered it first in the state house. My point is We Knew.
no idea what you're talking about. I know I asked you some questions. I'm starting to wonder how we can have "unity" with a group of supporters with such little sense.
Hard to unify with people who don't listen, either, Rosannasfriend. Once again:
1) How would YOU feel if your vote in this, the closest primary season in ages, didn't count? That you had NO ROLE in selecting your party's candidate?
And what if, in this hypothetical, Obama were trailing?
And, while you're at it, my earlier challenge:
2) Give me one reason Obama deserves the Presidency WITHOUT mentioning his race and WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.
He wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan! How can the Democratic party, with any kind of integrity, count votes against him he didn't even have a chance to win?
He will have the delegates this week. He has over 100 waiting this week. They were trying to give Hillary a chance to get out, but with her new statements, they are going to finish this now.
That's not a certainty, cmdrgmh. I'm a sports fan; I've seen too many examples of last-minute heroics to accept the thought of ANYTHING being over before it is.
LOL. The Repubs wanted Hillary, but unfortunately for your candidate she isn't the frontrunner. McCain is focused on the LIKELY nominee, get it straight!
I honestly don't believe that the Republicans wanted Hillary as the Dem's candidate. What could they possibly do to her in November that they hadn't already done to her from 1993-2000 as First Lady?
I think they were AFRAID it was gonna be Hillary. After all the crap the GOP gave her as First Lady, what did she do? She didn't back down. She came back for MORE by becoming a Senator and working tirelessly on the Presidential campaign trail even as people like you keep telling her to quit!
Since the Republicans are not in a favorable position because of the devastation wrought by Bush, McCain and the Republicans wanted a candidate who was an easy target. They wanted a candidate who would fold, who would give it up without a fight just like John Kerry. Only then would they have a prayer of winning.
In this cycle, I have no doubt that that candidate is Barack Hussein Obama.
I will say that I hope Obama proves me wrong. I really do. I hope he mows down McCain in November with a 1984 Reagan-like domination and wins the Presidency going away. I hope, as President, he becomes the man everyone keeps saying he is rather than the man I've seen him become. And I hope he will create a better tomorrow for every hard-working American, regardless of who or what they are.
But I have no faith in Obama and, thus, I have little confidence these hopes will be realized.
What about Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos? He thought Obama was such a strong candidate that he needed to sabotage him even before he won the nomination. That does not sound like someone who would fold.
If Obama believes not quitting in the face of the futile efforts of some has-been radio pundit like Limbaugh is something to be proud of, then I must say he is woefully unprepared to deal with the McCain camp.
Well, There is a pending court case against the Clintons for Campaign Finance Fraud. This stems back to the 2000 Senate seat. The case is on hold until after November. The Case Is Paul Vs. Clinton. We don't need another Scandel.
Like Rezko, cmrdrgmh? You don't think poor people dying in substandard, rat-infested, non-air-conditioned housing Obama approved for Rezko to build is gonna become a scandal?
And that case just resumed jury deliberations TODAY!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
So? Obama himself stirred up these racial tensions; he has only himself to blame for that. And it's not simply because he's a black man running for President, but the fact that he keeps insisting he deserves the Presidency BECAUSE he's black.
And he has a record of this. The man was GIVEN the editor position at the Harvard Law Review even though he NEVER WROTE AN ARTICLE!
Geraldine Ferraro was right; if not for his race and that 2004 speech, he wouldn't even BE in this position!
Have you ever heard him say he deserves the the Presdency because he is black. If people stop trying to find problems with Obama, they could see the problems with Hillary. She makes statements or should I say, she tells lies and always comes back with some lame reason why she said it.
in the land of putting your hands over your ears and saying "la la la la la"? You're right he hasn't been able to. Those of us who bothered to listen will help win while people like you will be whining in your house about why this happening. Enjoy!
I wasn't offering you the challenge I gave rcjlive26, but since you offered such a thoughtless non-response to it, I'll go ahead and give it to you this time:
Give me one reason Obama deserves the Presidency WITHOUT mentioning his race and WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.
Like I said, eljefereal, I have no faith in Obama and, thus, no confidence that he'll do any of that as President.
I'm no McCain supporter, but if the Democrats railroad the political process just to make this empty suit of a candidate the next George McGovern, I'm leaving the party.
I understand your inhibitions. But I at least want someone who says they'll try to do what we need done as opposed to someone whom we are sure will not.
I'm definitely going to vote in this election as I know the stakes are way too high for me to sit it out. But why, why, WHY, as a Democrat, do I always have to settle for the media's flavor of the month? Are McGovern, Kerry, Dukakis, and Obama REALLY the best we can do?!
If the Dems push Obama through, I'll probably end up voting for him in November, but it's gonna be with me as an Indpendent. Enough is enough.
"nadeau1064 (2 hours ago) Obama himself stirred up these racial tensions; he has only himself to blame for that"
Wrong, wrong, wrong. It's the black candidate's fault there's racism? Are you out of your mind? Do you even know what racism means?
Obama has consistently downplayed race as a factor in this, er, race. It was Bill Clinton who dismissed his victory by comparing him to Jesse Jackson in SC, not Obama. It was Ferraro who tried to play up the bogus reverse racism claim, not Obama.
Don't make me the asshole here, subtelfuge; I didn't say it's Obama's fault there's racism.
I am saying that Obama hasn't helped us rise above racism. He could have very easily run as the multiracial candidate, but he refused. I was disgusted with the way he derided his grandmother who raised him while praising his father who abandoned him.
You don't need my help for that. Another poster pointed out that voters for Clinton in KY and WV admitted to being racist. Your response:
"nadeau1064 (13 hours ago) [...] So?"
So? So it's just fine with you if racism helps your candidate? You have no problem with that? Anything to win, eh? How pathetic. This is exactly why I'll never support Clinton.
"nadeau1064 (51 minutes ago) [...] I am saying that Obama hasn't helped us rise above racism."
Really? He's about to be the first person of color to win the nomination of POTUS, is on track to win the whole thing, and he did it by winning over white voters across the country except racist Appalachia. What else is he supposed to do, walk on water? Cure leprosy? Single-handedly make sure every single racist in this country changes his or her mind? Give me a break!
The man wants to be my President, to represent me and my country on the world's stage and in history. After 8 years of W, I demand an exceptional person to fill that role.
Obama is not exceptional. He is an unnecessary risk at a crucial point in our history. Beneath all the hype, he is just another Kerry in blackface, a punching bag for McCain to pummel in November.
Obama's being black does not overcome the very real and very troubling deficits in his character.
"So it's just fine with you if racism helps your candidate?"
You clearly have no problem with racism helping Obama! What do you call white guilt? What you call affirmative action? What do you call "cling[ing] to their guns and their Bibles"?
And don't even get me started on that tape of Michelle Obama ranting about "whitey" that both Karl Rove and the McCain camp have in their possession.
Unforgivable! Heartless! Not even Air America dared calling Clinton on this. They said- We can't bad mouth Hillary b/c it would alienate her all woman audience and fracture the party! This is beyond the pale and her apology was FAKE! Desperation is not attractive and this is the most desperate position of all. She done- Finished! Anything less would be an abomination.
Thank you Keith!!!! You are a hero for speaking the truth! Hillary's career in politics should be over asap. This was unforgivable. She makes me NAUSEOUS!
The Clintons have been behaving like drug addicts willing to do anything for fix for their megalomania.
The sweet irony about the final desperate and depraved act of an unglued Politician is that she finally destroyed herself and not the party in a kamikaze attack.. she probably did more to unify her supporters behind Obama than anyone else could've despite her goal of holding the Convention hostage by inciting them not to vote for him.
As one of Obama's strongest supporters (and as Keith himself indicated), I cannot believe that she would invoke the "actual" assassination of anyone in this primary (or any other) election. Yes, it is over for her, and it's a shame that it had to end like this. I would have liked to see her drop out weeks ago and join the democratic movement against the Right. Her comment IS, in fact, inexcusable, and I guarantee you she regrets it, but to say that she secretly wants ANYONE dead is FANATICISM!

this is the left's philosophy: squelch free speech. don't hurt anyone's feelings. pretend we haven't kicked the shit out of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.
Zlan7 3 years ago
He's not attacking free speech. It's that she was crass enough to promote the idea of her political opponent being assassinated. That's the type of shit they say in third world countries. And as for "kickin Al-Qaeda's ass" in Iraq - need I remind you - they weren't even in Iraq until that asshole Bush invaded it. The hijackers on 9/11 were Saudis. Taking a country into war based on lies is considered treason. And that's what Dubya did. According to the US constitution, he is guilty of treason.
NYRangerz68 3 years ago 10
the 9/11 guys were egyptians and saudis...as are most of the foreign terrorists we've killed in iraq.....thousands of the fuckers....al quaeda has stated that iraq is the central front for them..which 1987 Datsun pickup truck full of scum do you want to surrender to? liberals have no balls, we are doing the world a great favor in iraq....dems are a bunch of pussies...but that's obvious

If you all think about it Hillary is a very
HIGHLY INTELLIGENT woman. She
is suddenlystarted making these off-color remarks like she's trying to throw the Dem. party!I mean think about it.

TubeGuest5178 3 years ago
I think we can give Hillary the benefit of the doubt. I find it hard to believe she's thinking "If only someone would assassinate him that would be great, then I'd win for sure." Olbermann spent 4 mins explaining his "...cold blooded killers" comment. He wanted us to know that he could have never meant the troops, so why can't Hillary get that same courtesy? Of all people he should know how it feels when the meaning of your message gets lost in the words you choose.

John McCain,
He is BEYOND SCARY - not only is he a war criminal, I think as we get to know him we may find out he is anti-American.

What a blowhard Olbermann is.

For the record, Robert Kennedy, Jr. has stated publicly that it is a "mistake" the media has so misconstrued Hillary's statement.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
he was talking in terms of whether or not his family was offended, which frankly most of us were not concerned about. The reason for most of the outrage was that her comments could be taken as meaning she's waiting for Barack to die. The Obama family were the people who deserved the apology for the misunderstanding.
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago
SHE should apologize to THEM because her words were misconstrued? I'm sorry, but that's just stupid. It isn't HER fault the media and these hyperventilating Obamatons created this melodrama. THEY should be apologizing to HER!

Obama can NOT pick Hillary as his VP. It would be a bad partnership just like Kennedy and Johnson was. Obama has had to have secret service earlier than any other candidate. She was well aware at what she said, and she is well aware of the death threats against Obama.

Ever since the Rev. Wright scandal broke, all these Obamaniacs have been looking for that one clip THEY could loop over and over to shove in Hillary's face. As if that would help the fact that their WEAK candidate CAN'T EVEN SEAL THE DEAL after winning all those states in a row.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
But there's no controversy here.
Pure propaganda for the Obama campaign, for a candidate who, honestly, is no Bobby Kennedy.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
So how come hillary can't SEAL the deal?
knockdoor101 3 years ago 4
I'm afraid that's beside the point, knockdoor.
I'm a Hillary supporter, but even I'll admit that she wasn't in a position to seal the deal until she won Pennsylvania. That said, if Michigan and Florida's delegates were counted (and they will have to be at the convention), Obama wouldn't have even had that lead of his.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
Obama's in trouble; anyone can see that. He's failed to stem the tide against Hillary since Pennsylvania, he still says Florida and Michigan's vote shouldn't count and, quite frankly, he's running out of black voters. And it IS about race; Rev. Wright made sure of that.
What a convenient time for them to manufacture this outrage against Hillary! Wasn't Obama the one who was supposed to be against "distractions" and "the same old Washington politics"?
Don't fall for this one, folks!
nadeau1064 3 years ago
nadeau1064 (2 minutes ago) "Obama's in trouble"
He needs 55 delegates to win and Hillary needs 245--out of only 292 remaining. How is that "in trouble"?
"he's running out of black voters"
Sure, lots of black people in Oregon, Wyoming, Vermont, Idaho, Iowa, Alaska, Kansas, N. Dakota, Utah, Minnesota--all states Obama won.
"Wasn't Obama the one who was supposed to be against "distractions" and "the same old Washington politics"?"
Nice. Way to try to blame Obama for something Hillary said.
subtlefuge 3 years ago 4
1) They're PLEDGED delegates, subtlefuge. Obama's inability to beat Hillary down the stretch may make some delegates change their vote at the convention, which they CAN do. Don't forget Michigan and Florida will demand to be seated as well.
2) The issue is the REMAINING states; his performance in your list of states is irrelevant. One could argue just as easily that Montana and South Dakota will go the way of Kentucky.
3) Incorrect. Those are both direct quotes from Obama himself.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
3. I'm talking about Clinton mentioning assassination--multiple times.
subtlefuge 3 years ago 3
By saying "ridiculous" in 1), subtelfuge, are you saying that Michigan shouldn't be seated at the convention?
As for "polling in recent weeks," check out electoral-vote(dot)com. Their collection of recent polls says Hillary would beat McCain 314-207 in Nov. Obama: only 266-248, which is close enough for McCain to steal it.
And, to correct myself on point 3), I'm not blaming Obama for what Hillary said. I'm blaming Obama's supporters (like Keith) for completely misinterpreting Hillary.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
"nadeau1064 (2 hours ago)
By saying "ridiculous" in 1), subtelfuge, are you saying that Michigan shouldn't be seated at the convention?"
Short answer: no, unless it's a re-vote or 50/50 seating. The state party broke the rules, so there are consequences. BTW, Hillary was in favor of not seating them at all when she campaigned in Iowa and NH, but then did a 180 afterward. This shows she's just a pandering politician who will do and say anything to win. Also, you misspelled my name.
subtlefuge 3 years ago
I don't want another 2000 debacle.
nadeau1064 3 years ago

Let's look more closely. Strong Dem: O-142, C-124. Weak Dem: O-92, C-157. Barely Dem: O-32, C-33. Tied: O-24, C-17. Barely GOP: O-46, C-26. Weak GOP: O-73, C-39. Strong GOP: O-129, C-142.
Translation:
Obama vs. McCain: Obama's delegates are solid, McCain's are vulnerable.
Clinton vs. McCain: Clinton's are vulnerable, McCain's are solid.
Who do you think McCain wants to run against?
BTW, this same site picked Kerry in 04.
subtlefuge 3 years ago
If Kerry had run his campaign better, he might have won it. The democrats were so stupid of their strategic analysis. I was living in Michigan at the time and they called me to help campaign. I told those idiots they already had Michigan locked, and what they needed to do was focus on PA, OH and FL. Those were the only swing states of importance and the winner of two of those three was going to win the Presidency.
Story of my life. No one listens and they fall on their ass as a result.
Xerock 3 years ago 2
First of all, McCain wants to run against Obama. The old war veteran wants to run against the young weak peace candidate and the fact that McCain had the whole "illegitimate black child" thing thrown at him in 2000's gonna make the mudslinging REAL nasty. And, to be honest, I don't think Obama has the endurance to weather such a storm. He can't even shake Hillary!

And let me remind you once again: OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH DELEGATES YET!
nadeau1064 3 years ago
This is the biggest problem I have with the Obama campaign: they take terms which define our electoral process such as a "brokered convention" and "superdelegates" and turn them into negative concepts just because they might make it harder for Obama to get the nod.
Well, tough shit, folks, that's the process. And, yes, both Hillary AND Obama have to follow it. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
nadeau1064 3 years ago

How would YOU feel if your vote in this, the closest primary season in ages, didn't count? That you had NO ROLE in selecting your party's candidate?
And what if, in this hypothetical, Obama were trailing?
Speculative, yes, but in your response, I think you'd find some hypocrisy there as well.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
I am from Fl. We knew for a long time our vote would not be counted. We also knew that the delegates would eventually be seated. If you live in Fl. and didn't know you must have had your head in the sand for 8 months prior to the election. Our pary broke the rules. I know the repubs had a hand in it, but the Dems offered it first in the state house. My point is We Knew.
cmdrgmh 3 years ago
I don't see how you could make peace with that, cmdrgmh. Especially, being from Florida, that your state had such turmoil back in 2000!
I would be furious; hell, I'm furious FOR you!
nadeau1064 3 years ago
And I'm still waiting for Rosannasfriend to get back to me on that same question regarding Florida and Michigan.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
no idea what you're talking about. I know I asked you some questions. I'm starting to wonder how we can have "unity" with a group of supporters with such little sense.
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago
Hard to unify with people who don't listen, either, Rosannasfriend. Once again:
1) How would YOU feel if your vote in this, the closest primary season in ages, didn't count? That you had NO ROLE in selecting your party's candidate?
And what if, in this hypothetical, Obama were trailing?
And, while you're at it, my earlier challenge:
2) Give me one reason Obama deserves the Presidency WITHOUT mentioning his race and WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.
Take your time.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
He wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan! How can the Democratic party, with any kind of integrity, count votes against him he didn't even have a chance to win?
Annaleebie 3 years ago
Because Obama took himself off the ballot, Annaleebie! And, don't forget, Obama has to campaign in Michigan AGAIN for the general election.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
He will have the delegates this week. He has over 100 waiting this week. They were trying to give Hillary a chance to get out, but with her new statements, they are going to finish this now.
cmdrgmh 3 years ago
That's not a certainty, cmdrgmh. I'm a sports fan; I've seen too many examples of last-minute heroics to accept the thought of ANYTHING being over before it is.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
lol. He's a few whispers away from the number, :).
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago
LOL. The Repubs wanted Hillary, but unfortunately for your candidate she isn't the frontrunner. McCain is focused on the LIKELY nominee, get it straight!
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago
I honestly don't believe that the Republicans wanted Hillary as the Dem's candidate. What could they possibly do to her in November that they hadn't already done to her from 1993-2000 as First Lady?
I think they were AFRAID it was gonna be Hillary. After all the crap the GOP gave her as First Lady, what did she do? She didn't back down. She came back for MORE by becoming a Senator and working tirelessly on the Presidential campaign trail even as people like you keep telling her to quit!
nadeau1064 3 years ago
Since the Republicans are not in a favorable position because of the devastation wrought by Bush, McCain and the Republicans wanted a candidate who was an easy target. They wanted a candidate who would fold, who would give it up without a fight just like John Kerry. Only then would they have a prayer of winning.
In this cycle, I have no doubt that that candidate is Barack Hussein Obama.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
I will say that I hope Obama proves me wrong. I really do. I hope he mows down McCain in November with a 1984 Reagan-like domination and wins the Presidency going away. I hope, as President, he becomes the man everyone keeps saying he is rather than the man I've seen him become. And I hope he will create a better tomorrow for every hard-working American, regardless of who or what they are.
But I have no faith in Obama and, thus, I have little confidence these hopes will be realized.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
What about Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos? He thought Obama was such a strong candidate that he needed to sabotage him even before he won the nomination. That does not sound like someone who would fold.
Annaleebie 3 years ago
If Obama believes not quitting in the face of the futile efforts of some has-been radio pundit like Limbaugh is something to be proud of, then I must say he is woefully unprepared to deal with the McCain camp.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
Well, There is a pending court case against the Clintons for Campaign Finance Fraud. This stems back to the 2000 Senate seat. The case is on hold until after November. The Case Is Paul Vs. Clinton. We don't need another Scandel.
cmdrgmh 3 years ago
Like Rezko, cmrdrgmh? You don't think poor people dying in substandard, rat-infested, non-air-conditioned housing Obama approved for Rezko to build is gonna become a scandal?
And that case just resumed jury deliberations TODAY!
Can you say "Duke Cunningham"?

He is leading in those states. KY and WV had voters who admitted to being racist.
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago 2
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Geraldine Ferraro was right; if not for his race and that 2004 speech, he wouldn't even BE in this position!
nadeau1064 3 years ago
Have you ever heard him say he deserves the the Presdency because he is black. If people stop trying to find problems with Obama, they could see the problems with Hillary. She makes statements or should I say, she tells lies and always comes back with some lame reason why she said it.

rcjlive26, give me one reason Obama deserves the Presidency WITHOUT mentioning his race and WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.
Obama himself sure hasn't been able to.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
in the land of putting your hands over your ears and saying "la la la la la"? You're right he hasn't been able to. Those of us who bothered to listen will help win while people like you will be whining in your house about why this happening. Enjoy!
Rosannasfriend 3 years ago
Missing a few words there, Rosannasfriend.
I wasn't offering you the challenge I gave rcjlive26, but since you offered such a thoughtless non-response to it, I'll go ahead and give it to you this time:
Give me one reason Obama deserves the Presidency WITHOUT mentioning his race and WITHOUT mentioning Hillary.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
Do you want our fighting men and women out of a place they never should have been?
Do you want the person who masterminded 9-11 to be found?
Do you want America to actually regain its standing in the world?
If not, vote McCain.
eljefereal 3 years ago
Like I said, eljefereal, I have no faith in Obama and, thus, no confidence that he'll do any of that as President.
I'm no McCain supporter, but if the Democrats railroad the political process just to make this empty suit of a candidate the next George McGovern, I'm leaving the party.
I'm tired of backing losers.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
I understand your inhibitions. But I at least want someone who says they'll try to do what we need done as opposed to someone whom we are sure will not.
You can't win if you don't play.
eljefereal 3 years ago
I appreciate your understanding, eljefereal.

*Independent.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
"nadeau1064 (2 hours ago) Obama himself stirred up these racial tensions; he has only himself to blame for that"
Wrong, wrong, wrong. It's the black candidate's fault there's racism? Are you out of your mind? Do you even know what racism means?
Obama has consistently downplayed race as a factor in this, er, race. It was Bill Clinton who dismissed his victory by comparing him to Jesse Jackson in SC, not Obama. It was Ferraro who tried to play up the bogus reverse racism claim, not Obama.
subtlefuge 3 years ago 2
Don't make me the asshole here, subtelfuge; I didn't say it's Obama's fault there's racism.
I am saying that Obama hasn't helped us rise above racism. He could have very easily run as the multiracial candidate, but he refused. I was disgusted with the way he derided his grandmother who raised him while praising his father who abandoned him.
THAT is racism.
nadeau1064 3 years ago
"nadeau1064 (38 minutes ago)
Don't make me the asshole here, subtelfuge"
You don't need my help for that. Another poster pointed out that voters for Clinton in KY and WV admitted to being racist. Your response:
"nadeau1064 (13 hours ago) [...] So?"
So? So it's just fine with you if racism helps your candidate? You have no problem with that? Anything to win, eh? How pathetic. This is exactly why I'll never support Clinton.
BTW, you misspelled my name again.
subtlefuge 3 years ago
"nadeau1064 (51 minutes ago) [...] I am saying that Obama hasn't helped us rise above racism."
Really? He's about to be the first person of color to win the nomination of POTUS, is on track to win the whole thing, and he did it by winning over white voters across the country except racist Appalachia. What else is he supposed to do, walk on water? Cure leprosy? Single-handedly make sure every single racist in this country changes his or her mind? Give me a break!
subtlefuge 3 years ago 2
The man wants to be my President, to represent me and my country on the world's stage and in history. After 8 years of W, I demand an exceptional person to fill that role.
Obama is not exceptional. He is an unnecessary risk at a crucial point in our history. Beneath all the hype, he is just another Kerry in blackface, a punching bag for McCain to pummel in November.
Obama's being black does not overcome the very real and very troubling deficits in his character.
nadeau1064 3 years ago

Well done Keith.

I've loved all of his comments that trash Bush, but this was easily my favorite of all.
Hillary deserved every bit of this.

Plus no more 'Hillary for VP' crap! Bravo Keith!

I think that the advisor who called Clinton "a monster" should have been given a promotion, not resigned. It was a profoundly insightful observation.

Keith kinda flinches. kind of creepily like a gunshot, given the talk of assassination.
This is a great special comment tho.

I was wondering that myself? What is going on at 1:36?
Rashaed 3 years ago
As one of Obama's strongest supporters (and as Keith himself indicated), I cannot believe that she would invoke the "actual" assassination of anyone in this primary (or any other) election. Yes, it is over for her, and it's a shame that it had to end like this. I would have liked to see her drop out weeks ago and join the democratic movement against the Right. Her comment IS, in fact, inexcusable, and I guarantee you she regrets it, but to say that she secretly wants ANYONE dead is FANATICISM!
