I was relistening to some old music on a long drive down a dusty desert road when this song came on. It instantly sent scintillating shocks of electricity down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck stood straight like hairy spikes. My body felt like it was coursing energy for the entire song and as soon as it ended I was in pure bliss and harmony with the world. Life is an epic movie and only deserves the best soundtrack. Thank you UNKLE!!!!
HOLYSHIT alright! This fucked with my head so bad my mind couldn't handle it and created another one of me just so the combined two of us are capable of listening to this without losing conciousness.
The joy in my heart knows no bounds! I have searched so long, fighting to escape the torture of your absence, oh marvellous remix of most glorious Ludwig van. Only now can I say I love thee true, the sun and the moon and all the planets viewable from our tiny earth are but dull shale as to the towering majesty of your chords and phonetic structure.
Wow, dunno where that came from. But seriously, thanks for this, Ever since that ad for a BMW I've been looking for this.
Ha ha, the Top Gear heads searching round frantically to find out where this tune came from.. I did the same when I first saw the BMW ad and found it. They found it was a variation on Beethovens 9th and started listening to that, then the 7th and 5th and then Mozart. I love the way one small event in acoustics can send you off on a tremendous journey of discovery. To those that just found this, its only a 1st step on a great journey ;-)enjoy,peace.
Knowing that you're able to talk to the people watching you is a gift and the value you are given is the purest of thought. We are time linear keep the wisest at your feet and wash them.
I am an indie film maker myself and I have always been blown away by this. Usually when bands / DJs try and mix old tracks they spoil them - but Unkle have actually improved (dare I say) Beethoven's 9th - I hear the protests already! Anyway, I will be posting a video to the track for submission to a few film fests - thanks to Unkle who support creatives working on shoestring budgets - great artists and nice blokes too ;)
Bit of a Frankenstein piece this one. But who cares, its dynamic, creative, chrisp and contemporary. This will still sound great years from now. Totally Boss.
@boldrik1 Dvorak's 9th, which was based on Beethoven's 9th... it's a parody of a parody if it is based on Dvorak's, but I don't see you're reasoning for stating that it's Dvorak's when the bit of Molto Vivace that is so clearly recognisable in both is what identifies it.
jesus fucking christ its a song... your not supposed to get enlightened or get a hard on from a song. stop talking about einstein, go out, get laid and get a fucking life! fuck me... btw songs good
Scientific enlightment depends on geniuses and their intuition. It hardly has anything to do with hard technician work. And sometimes scientists, like Einstein, choose to burn their work. I think their decision should be respected and understood. But it takes a genius... But it doesn't take a genius to see that there are other things in life worth pursuing except scientific revelation. And by the way I think the discovery everyone is betting on will only come when it is no longer an obsession.
So you are saying people who are exceptionally good at physics or music or whatever are born that way? You cannot teach yourself to be dynamic or inventive?
Dynamic and inventive, exceptionally good at physics does not a genius make. And the discoveries need that 1% that is not hard work, is just the GIFT. Most scientists break down out of frustration of lacking it. I am just so sad that they want it so and it hurts them so. Nobody should get hurt from life.
I think you're mistaking the sheer amount of work that went into Einsteins works on the photoelectric effect, gravity and quantum mechanics. These were things that took a great deal of hard work to achieve, and I think to say that it discovery originates from that which is not hard work is a fallacy.
If I am not mistaken didn't Einstein reject a lot of ideas in quantum mechanics? Just because when quantum mechanics were on the rise then idea couldn't accept the idea that what was impossible to classic physics was possible at the quantum level?
@SoniaShell 99% perspiration, 1% inspiration. -Thomas Edison Thomas Edison used as little scientific efficiency to solve a problem as possible, he took a problem head on and (mainly) used trial and error.
This music, to me, captures how far humans have come in our understanding of the universe and that we are just now on the edge of enlightenment. The next 50 years will reveal so much - hold on ;)
We are ALWAYS on the edge of enlightenment..truth is, enlightenment never comes from pure scientific undertanding..it does not depend on any technological era..
I really like the use of different sounds in the piece - that distorted almost high powered motor-cycle sound. When you combine this with the piano it does make for a timeless classic. You can virtually write a script around the music. Take the end sound at 04:17. Great potential for film there I tell you. I just hope they let me use it - although having been down this road before....mmm
