  • This was the classic era of wrestling... I don't care what anyone says, the crap that the WWE is putting out today doesn't come close !

  • Back then the fans sure went crazy over nothing!

  • God, Lou Albano was the best.

  • Look at The Captain in plad! LOL! Definitely great footage and better times in wrestling!

  • Used to watch this stuff every I think Saturday morning 9, 10, 11 yrs old. I can't watch the new stuff at all. Thinking back couldn't remember what was so great about it. Watching these videos reminds me that it was high drama. These guys told a story with almost no words. It was big art on a big canvas.

  • The Valiants, the Greatest Tag Team ever! They were the ones to give Capt. Lou the nickname, "The Guiding Light."

  • Valiant Brothers were probably the most colorful of their time!

  • When they came to Chicago they claimed to be from New York LOL

    Those guys were awesome!

  • Where did you get the information about Tony Garea was wrestling in Florida in the late 1960`s ? He did not wrestled in Florida in the late 60s, he was wrestling in New Zealand at that time when he was very young. It was 1972 that Tony went to Florida for the very 1st time to wrestled there.

  • The Valient Brothers made it cool to be bad guys!!

  • Tony Garea was a "punching bag" in the old NWA in Florida in the late 60s but when he came to the north east-he became practically an overnight superstar!

About Lou Albano his tag match with John Valiant was a donny brook in a little arena against garea and Ho-never saw never bleed there let alone the amount of blood Albano shed before running out of the ring-how could anyone bleed so much? Maybe he needed a blood transfusion-it was shocking! (About 1975)

  • I'm pretty sure my dad had a few pairs of pants like Captain Lou's back in 1974...

  • I went to Military School with Vince M and Johnny V aka Tom Sullivan.

  • Great match.... Garea was an awesome tag team wrestler

  • Thanks for posting!

  • I love how these guys were void of any muscularity. They also over exaggerated their weights. 278 and 275 ? Please.

  • @radioactivekaraoke how much do you think they weighed?

  • 2 THINGS, MAN TIME FLY'S, IT WAS LIKE YESTERDAY I WATCHED THIS AND ALSO IT BRINGS BACK A LOT OF MEMORIES, MY PARENTS WERE ALIVE VERY YOUNG AND MY HOUSE IT WAS 7 OF US. SO A LOT OF MEMORIES GOOD ONES AND ALSO SOME PAINFUL ONES. THATS WHAT COMES TO ME WHEN I WATCH THIS. THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD RLAND1987

  • ALSO IT HAD TO BE THE RED JACKETS

  • I LOVED IT WHEN THEY WOULD DO A PROMO WITH VINCE, THEY WOULD HAVE THE JACKETS WITH THEIR NAMES IN THE BACK THE SHADES THE BLONDE HAIR AND THE BELTS, I THOUGHT THEY WERE THE COOLEST THING GOING AT THE TIME.

  • I miss those days in wrestling

  • wow this is great you have some great stuff here tag team title changes blackjacks against denucci and barret garea and ho vs tanaka and fuji this is when i loved wrestling bruno was champ and the tag team title always changed hands on tv .i loved the valiant brothers ill never forget the night they lost the belts to denucci and rivera and when they won the belts from garea and ho would love to see them again.thanks so much for posting this stuff bringing back some great memories.

  • I remember when the Valiant Bros. came to Chicago in the mid 70's and Bob Luce pretty much granted them complete creative license with his show (a risky move for the time)...I was fortunate enough to see them at the international Amphitheater ....

  • From Chicago, Illinois--The Boy From New York City!

  • Johnny Valiant had a mullett before it became unfashionable, LOL

  • It's about time somebody posted more classic WWWF TV footage like this! Hey rland19871, do you also have the match where the Valiants lost the belts to Victor Rivera and Dominic DeNucci? That was a great 2 out of 3 falls match, and a rarity because it was a bloody title match on TV (from "Championship Wrestling", almost a year after this one). Jimmy Valiant was a bloody mess at the end of that one, as was DeNucci. Thanks for posting this, and please keep 'em coming!

  • Mercy baby..mercy..

"the valiants give out more money in tips in ione week than the average guy makes in a year"

    mercy baby"

    great post !!

The Valiants were my favorite team growing up !

  • This is a goodie. Thank you so much.. Jeesh I was 12 when I first watched this. The Valiants were great daddy !!!!
