1) wouldn't you just get a laptop?

2) what happens if you're not at home and try to connect from a hotspot? You're not going to know the IP address. So what do you do then?

If you have a desktop you can do this as well,but it is cool having a computer on your ds. You can hack your friends computer as a joke and control it as much as you want, and there is gamepad mode so you can use the DS as a mouse.

no, you can use it as far as the wifi connection will reach, the closer to your wireless router, the faster it will work.

you have to go to: start>all programs>accessories>command prompt> then type: ipconfig

or you can just look up command propmt in the search bar in the start menu.

then you put in the IP's the win2ds requires. kinda common sense.

The refresh rate is variable. Anywhere from 0 FPS to about 2-3ish. However, increasing the update rate on the DS makes your commands slightly laggier from DS to PC.

You need a flashcard, download the program itself, put it on the sd card you use for your flashcard(or other), and just boot the .nds file from the flashcard.

If you want a cheap and good flashcard, you should buy an M3 Simply, no extra stuff needed and easy to install, it costs about $50, and for memory you need a Micro SD card, costs about 20$, if you want to know where you can buy:Just google for M3 Adaptor and click the first link, this site contains information and ''where 2 buy''
