I'm no Harper fan (despite what you may think about my user name) but I agree with this one. The US also walked out on Ahmadinejad when he spoke... the room was fairly empty. I heard the speech (a good portion of it). It wasn't worth listening to. There's a difference between allowing this sort of grandstanding by Ahmadinejad and having an improved dialogue. If you listen to the speech you might change your mind... if not that's fine too.
Well what I hate the most is that arrogant Harper telling his elected Canadian officials they are forbidden from listening to something - as if he calls the shots. Harper's just showing his true colors - he doesn't believe in talking to people he dislikes - he does this all the time in Canada. No big surprise here. He's also showing he disagrees with Obama's stance on opening dialogue with Iran. Again, no surprise - he supported Bush, so what do you expect? Thank God in heaven Canada did not get involved in Iraq - we barely missed that one - Harper was calling for it.

I'm no Harper fan (despite what you may think about my user name) but I agree with this one. The US also walked out on Ahmadinejad when he spoke... the room was fairly empty. I heard the speech (a good portion of it). It wasn't worth listening to. There's a difference between allowing this sort of grandstanding by Ahmadinejad and having an improved dialogue. If you listen to the speech you might change your mind... if not that's fine too.

Well what I hate the most is that arrogant Harper telling his elected Canadian officials they are forbidden from listening to something - as if he calls the shots. I can pretty much guess what Ahmadinehad said, but it doesn't matter - if you keep an open dialogue you eventually find someone like Gorbachev.

I agree, All the Farsi speakers in the World agreed that Ahmadinajad never said that Holocaust never accured. what he did say was, let's investigate and why we only talking about the Jews who killed in WW2 and every pro Israel gov. got panicked..And I agree with him..60 Million pple lost their lives in WW2, how many times we hear other Europeans who lost their lives in WW2..Memyself don't believe "6 million" Jews died in WW2., I think is way smaller number than 6 Million.

For starters, investigate the actual number of jewish casualties. What's the basis for reaching a casualty toll in the millions? Don't just believe everything you're taught without actually thinking on it for a second. This is the basis of our technological and scientific advancements, people willing to question everything. Scared? Then don't be in the kitchen. If we're not allowed to pose questions, then we get no where. Maybe that quelled some of your confusion.

Not really. There has been many investigations over the past 60 years, and every time there is an analysis, the number gets larger and larger.

I have no problem doing any historical research. My problem is with people who are trying to prove their hypothetical rather than making genuine, objective analysis.
