  • The only time that you're satisfied is when your feets in the Wishin' Well !

  • is southern rock the best music around or what?

  • ohw heard this song played by savatage and free

  • good version but lacks the soul of Free. Drums and bass are weak. too slick of a recording.

With out Kossof forget about it..

  • I wish I wish...to hear Paul Rodgers singing this version of a song.

  • nice guitar work.

  • way better than Free's version, thanks for a great laugh.................

  • they may play the same tune but it's paul's voice that stands out and unbeatable.

  • 4 people fell in the wishing well

  • responding with my major problem long live rock !!!

  • ...and I know what you're wishing' for....

  • Um, Meow, good music

  • OH HELL YEH!BEEN TOO LONG. ROCKIN ROCKIN ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I always liked this version a little better than the rest, Medlocke seems to be able to project his voice better on this one, I really like Paul Rodgers stuff on other songs, but I think Medlocke wins on this one, maybe it's just the way it was mixed. Rodgers seems more behind the music, Medlocke seems more out in front on this one.

  • Badassss!!!!!

  • this good version ! but also listen to the great gary moores version !

  • @albertinkstain Gary Moores live version is the best

  • Why do this guys playin Small british venues?

  • seen them at bilston, wolverhamton england last night, greaaaaaaaaaaaat stuff

  • I'm sure I 'roadied' for this band.... :)

  • mmmmmmm....

  • I'm 18....and I love that!!

  • Don't forget guitarist Paul Kossoff, the heart and soul of Free. This was the reason post Free acts were so lame compared to Free

  • BLACKFOOT---''WISHING WELL''

  • @tomcardello Except for Jon Oliva here: watch?v=rQQy3axp8eo

  • @tomcardello

    hot sprockets come pretty close.

  • muy buena cancion arriva el rock an roll americano !!

  • Saturday 16th of April i will see them live in the Netherlands !!

    Just 3 more days........:D:D:D

  • @tomcardello Huh, I always thought Blackfoot was the original version. You learn something new everyday.

  • Dude, I'm 14 now. I wish that I grew up in your guy's generation! You had the best of everything! Cars, girls, movies and especially MUSIC! Jeez, I don't mean to complain, but god, this generation of music is worse than like... Madonna! Plus, all of our cars now-a-days don't have emissions- more like unicorn dust and rainbows. I already have a lunchbox, I don't want to drive one.

  • @mrtheroosterdude Very true ... plus Freelove and no AIDS invented yet. But on the Dark Side ... well we did have AM radio all too much. Now you got CD players and this remastered stuff can really rock out!

  • way better than free's version.

  • @LoganStegall ....NO WAY is this better than FREE...no way!!!!

  • @LoganStegall fuck off you daft twat. You clearly have no idea

  • this song kicks ass!!!

  • From a 19 year old girl raised on rock, play it Mr. Medlocke ;)

  • dude don'tr put blcvkfoot in with Styx,t didn't they kind of suck actually (o:

Blackfoot kicked some southern rock ass !!

  • they both are their own....the orginal and the cover. It is a a Jedi mind thing....one the other and the other the one.

  • Great version.Who are these guys?I've never heard of them? What year was this released?

  • @laiosto Florida Band Blackfoot--released 1979

  • Im 16 years old and I have to agree, this sorta music makes modern rock seem like nursery rhymes

  • Im 16 years old and I have to agree, this sorta music makes modern rock seem like nursery rhymes

  • The first time I heard this I was a senior in H/S probably one of the best albums to drive to. ever

  • @mperry104b lol.. another old guy. Yea.. I'm rite with ya! Styx, Black Foot, Journey on and on...... man, we were lucky when it came to music. Poor kids today have thump, thump, and rap crap...Thank goodness there were no computers to screw up raw talent/music.

  • I agree with boxerpoop. This is another overlooked classic rock tune that the radio stations ignore. I'm a singer and my band is also thinking about covering this song as well. There's no reason why this shouldn't be on the radio more. I hate classic rock radio for ignoring great tunes like this one.

  • Believe it or not I heard this song on the radio last week. The Outer Banks NC classic rock station....I like this version a whole lot.

  • @tomcardello This is one Paul song I like better than the original :) Including the the great Gary Moore`s version :)

  • This is the version that stands out for me.

  • Bad Ass!

hits the nail on the head.

  • Yeah this song rules

  • i liked the gary moore version too. i wish this kind of music would still be a bit more alive today... i mean sure it's the 60s 70s and 80s but it'd be cool if there were some more places you could go to where they'd still play this music. modern rock/metal isn't as great as this eventhough i must admit i enjoy listening to it every now and then.

  • Free and Blackfoot versions are good. as good as each other in their OWN right. How many versions of "It hurts me too" have you heard. they're all different, but good. The point is that Blackfoot did this song with great respect. I'm sure Paul Rodgers was happy with this, and I'm sure Ricky was honored to sing this great song.

  • I don,t understand why this band have so little stars on spotify.

  • @tomcardello They're listening to the right people.

  • take off your hat, take off your shoes..LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • Call it a cover or whatever you want. NO ONE sings this song better than Ricky Medlocke! Blackfoot made this song their own! Ricky Medlocke KICKS ASS!!

  • we don't need any more police here. we can take care of ........it. police, catch some real criminals. don't bother me. my stomach is tied up in knots allready.

ok i'm done with my rant.

  • Well done Rick!

  • Very good cover of a classic from the Free song catalog, I did not realize Blackfoot had this good rendition in them: Well Done Dudes, well done indeed! Thanks MagicMan610 for the upload and You Tube for being your bad self and clearing the space for this really cool effort! Rock On BLACKFOOT and Shindiggers everywhere!

  • much more energy than the Free version

  • paul rodgers sux

  • I prefer the original version of this song by Free. But Blackfoot does a great job with it.

  • I prefer the original version of this song by Free. But Blackfoot does a great job with it.

  • I just started listening to them, and I like it, alot. :DDDDDDD

This song is way too god. Guitars, melody, voice, everything. Just perfect.

  • Yes it is Rick singing

  • got to give free credit for this one, this is one of those rare occasions where the remake is better than the original (at least in my opinion)

  • I have to disagree with you I love the free version more but this is great (all down to opinion as you say)

  • not medlocke singing

  • GREAT!!!!..... much better than orginal Free....

  • if you havent heard this song in 25 years you have major problem

  • @MrKlembob yay! im not problematic...i be 16 :D

  • @MrKlembob what if ur only 12

  • @MrKlembob Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy reseracher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami, Jordan Maxwell and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.

  • I've heard a version of this song performed by Free.Nevertheless...Blackfoot rocks, regardless of who's in the current lineup.......of course, that's only MY opinion...

  • actually it was Free's song...Lol i made that mistake too :-)

  • such feeling when he sings this...

    amazing song.

  • Heard a rumor that Medlocke wrote this song shortly after Lenny Stadler left the band. Song about him. Was a great Bass player!

  • Doubt it!

  • No, this is a Free song from the great Paul Rodgers off of the Heartbreaker album of 1972.

  • Well seeing how Lenny left around 1972 could have easily given Medlocke the inspiration for the lyrics.

  • Medlocke didn't write the song or the lyrics...it was written by Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirk, Paul Kossoff and the members of Free.

  • I think the rumor is just that. This song was originally done by 'Free', predecesor to Bad Co.

  • @Engarm2003 Completely wrong, just another example of why you shouldn't listen to rumors.

  • This version rocks big time, I like it better than Free. Medlocke is a great fit for this song vocally.

My band plays this and it always gets people's attention, like "wow, I have not heard that song in 25 years".. great tune..

Really love Blackfoot's version of Morning Dew too.. If someone has that one i'd love to see it on Youtube.

  • Blackfoot were the greatest back in the day best live act I seen in the 80s.Love this tune!

  • Great souther version of a British gem...Rogers as a vocalist is pretty much untouchable, but kudos to Blackfoot for remembering a great tune. I'f like to hear someone like Doro Pesch attempt a femme cover of it...like she did LZ's "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You".

  • Great cover.

    Thanks for posting

  • never knew that Free did this. Not sure who was first. I like the vocals with Free better. Rogers just has more range and feeling in his voice. But, I did have this blackfoot album and loved it.

  • my ALL TIME FAVORITE southern rock song!!!

    thanks for the upload :))

  • nice quality.

Hard to find good coverage of these guys.

Wow, I havent heard this in yrs.

    Thanxxxxxxxxx
