  • Gotta love Bob/wailers songs like this; i've never heard this before in my life, good chace i wont ever hear it again. The song just provides instant gratification; beautiful music

  • Youthful Mr. Marley must have loved that sax solo in the middle of the song (1:37). He must have been thinking.."Yee-ah, MON! I luv dis mee-yu-sik MON!"....

  • every time time i hear this song. i want to dance the ska dance and then make love.

  • @PEPE13VENENOSO mhm same here well said <3

  • this song makes my heart shiver

  • I can't believe it man, they were still such boys on this picture.

  • Youtube, where every reggae song is by Bob Marley.

  • @SirSnackPack this is bob marley dude. bob also had a youth. he started singing when he was 16 years old.

  • @SirSnackPack

I can name at least 15 artists on YouTube that make reggae music and I'm pretty sure they ain't Bob Marley. Do your research.

Blessings tough, maybe you'll mind will clear up then.

  • @SentioBonus No I mean, even if it's not by Bob people say it is. I watched a video of Sublime "Smoke Two Joints" and the title said it was by Bob Marley.

  • @SirSnackPack Haha, some guy from my class says his biggest idol is Bob Marley. His favorite song is: ''Smoke two joints''. I laughed my ass off! Bob Marley would never write a song like that.

  • @RockDocter He did write Smoke two joints

  • @spadleca I think you smoked too much joints

  • @spadleca No he didn't Sublime did. Fucking retard.

  • @SirSnackPack so true so many people are dumb

  • @SirSnackPack haha bob is hard to recognize without his dreadlocks!!! :) Bob Marley Hits at Studio One. how we wish he could still be making music today.

  • scratch guitar going: Chack.....chack-chack!.... Chack.....chack-chack!.... Chack.....chack-chack! SKA!!

  • hahaha bob looks so clean cut in that photo

  • This is the Wailers.

  • @Dahnje wailing wailers

  • I remember my middle school history teacher telling me Bob Marley & The Wailers "were a band like The Tempations." I looked it up and this picture came out. It made me love them even more. Such powerful music

    JAH BLESS!

  • This ain't Bob Marley!

  • @foundfool

  • I didnt know bob could sing that well :D

  • sophiane1995@hotmail.fr

  • Yes, it was the three Wailers, Bob, Bunny, Peter and it's an awesome track musially and vocally!

  • These are The Wailers not just Marley. Peter, Bunny & Bob

  • @akhenatuh correct

  • These are The Wailers, Peter, Bunny & Bob

  • Haa! Look at Bob in the middle with the close crop hair cut. Ha! Rest in peace, Bob!

  • STUDIO ONE '1962-1964'

  • uncle bob??? cut the crap , just marley and his awesone music culture

  • Is it Rocksteady style?

  • Check out the double snare drum hit offsetting the single hit. The drummer pauses for a good, brief moment before he hits the crash cymbal, after the snare drum hit. That is fabulous ska. The horn section is truly a Jamaican thing - that is uniquely Jamaican. The solo horn intro just sets the stage, mon. B. Marley's lead vocal is just memorably marvelous. Check out how he "meanders" with the words. What is singular groove.

  • @hitomusic Thank You musical genius. Now i'll be able to sleep tonight.

  • when the rastaman was a rude boy... the revolutionay, the prophet Bob marley.... well done for the musik dude!!!

  • Hard to describe. Turned me on (mm)

    /watch?v=D1UTX2p6H8w

  • this reminds me of a girl... i love very much!!!!

  • Great SKA ! Do you Remember ?

  • This is a song by some of the original Wailers, Bob is on lead vocals. The Great Skatalites band is backing up the goup

  • this is Ska right?

  • this is bob marley. Look into the album "rarities from studio one". I'm a die hard bob fan and i'd reconize his young voice any where. also look into his first hit with the wailers "simmer down" you will reconize his voice in contrast with this song.

  • Man, drop the fighting. Not on a bob song my friend, peace love respect. Love your fellow humans.

  • No Im actually 18 bud... Thanks for asking. And if you think im "patetic" thats just fine cause i have no idea what that means... Come to think of it I have no idea what any of your comment says... you cant say you didn't learn anything from what i said before... Now go smoke another fat blunt with your buddies and act like you understand the music and the culture even though you never will... And for christs sake, kid, pay attention in english class... your embaressing yourself

  • I like the rock steady version as much as this one.

  • the song is just called how many times. and no its not the demo you ignorant fuck its the original. Some people actually enjoy Robert Nesta Marleys music because its good and he was a prophet and an amazing poet. not because he smoked dope and its "hip" to listen to bob marley and smoke dope. Now go back to school tommorow in your legend shirt and tell your friends you learned something. shit for brains.

  • oh..is it relly he?! da man in the middle :D ..cute xD

  • Ska The Wailers

  • hermosa rola.............

  • I thought this was called "How Many Times".

  • Im guessing this is like a demo for the song

  • its soooooooooooooooooooo goooooood

  • How perfect :)

  • Ultimate song to win a woman back-- if you met her outside at night :D.

  • @LikwidSchitz and you were old as shit...

  • look at that picture does that look right too you....

see wut weed did to bob

    Jah man

  • this song changed my life. thats it,

  • a classic & such clean cut young men! thnx 4 posting!

  • grazie bob

  • Bunny Wailer, Bob Marley, & Peter Tosh.

    ( The Picture )

  • It's them before they became Rastas

  • and because of that faith you have great albums from everyone of The Wailers

  • your born a rasta and grow!

  • You're a funny man. My Uncle would have said the same thing

  • man the vocals are pure doo-wop, but the instrumental part, is amazing

  • Shadow: is that not right-on or what! They modified the doo-wop into SKA. The horns are a key component, and the steady-on double-snare drum hit is primary to almost all SKA. The rythyhm guitar will also strike double strokes.

  • i never heard this song before..it's going on my Top songs to play

  • this makes me happy

  • "Love was at first sight" when I first heard this song...

  • back in his church days. ha what was this album, simmer down ?

  • this is my favorite bob marley song but i have never hear this version before

  • Try key in on the drummer's work. The pattern is just fabulous. The young Wailers borrowed from Doo-Wop (vocally) in this one, but the drummer's thing is pure Jamaican riddim. The horn solo is also genuine, original Jamaican culture. Culchah, mon!

  • this song is da shit

  • @ncrrea29 I dont think so.This song is very good like ALL songs by Marley!

  • Just beautiful.

    Great song.

  • foart tare frate:)

  • dis is good stuff....i gat much of dat di likes of simmer down, judge not,one cup of coffee etc

  • i love this original arrangement. even with the crackling sounds, This would sound awesome if they had access to modern recording equipmentof today, but still it is great

  • love jahh this song is good

  • Muuuito bom. Há quanto tempo eu não escutava essa música?!

Ouçam "Dancin shoes", "Maga Dog" e a versão original de "One Love" e bem vindos de volta a uma época onde o ska rolava solto e a repressão adormecia...

  • very uplifting

  • The Wailers ,The Maytals, Desmond decker and the Aces, were the Jamaican answer to Doo wop in the early Days with the Ska ,Blue beat backing them up Call it SKA-WOP that places it in a catagory of its own.

  • es genial !!! nada k decir

  • Holy.

  • this sounds like the beatles.. lol

    RIP bob marley,

  • correction brother rebelman, uncle bob never thought of himself anything great, he never thought of himself of a superstar,

  • I dont say that he considered himself, but some people consider him as a superstar. I know he was always sayin I'm not a superstar I'm just doin what have to be done etc, but he certainly knew that he was the greatest, didnt he?

    Peace

  • do you have any more from this album? I lost my copy a year ago. god I've missed this music

  • That feeling is nuts isn't it? After only some weeks not having this music, you jus start itching for it again, yee-ah, mon? I've broken and wore out two cassettes of this album (The one called "Early Music"). I also once had the record (vinyl) too, but scratched and wore that out, too. Thank the heavens for YouTube! And Thank YOU, Rebelman19!!

  • yeah man, completely. its an emptiness that cant be filled by anything else. good thing this one was my favorite cause I can only find like 4 more from the same cd.

  • i dont know but he IS the greatest

  • @Rebelman19 True my friend, i am a Peter Tosh's fan, and i wonder why he was so disappointed in Bob, even after he died. There is one song of Peter, "And thats what they will do". In that song he is singing about Bob, if you know anything about their fight. Please tell me about it :)

  • @MrTheScientist They never hated each other hell they were related. Peter and Bunny felt they should purse there own careers and Bob went into a depression because of that but they always remained friends and performed and hung out alot

  • @YungPar After Bobs death, Peter said nothing...I am quite sure that he was mad on him in many ways, just my keyboard doesn't work atm. Many times he said that he was Bobs mentor in guitar. After they went separated ways, never heard of anything together.

  • @MrTheScientist They did many concerts togther like the one peace for example and hung out in kingston when ever Bob and peter were there

  • @Rebelman19

from listening to him, i would say that he considered the Lord to be the superstar...and that would he did was merely the Lord's work

  • @Rebelman19 I don't believe he thought there was a greatest or worst. Whatever spread the message, man. The only thing he felt was joy at the effect his music had on the spirit of people and the continuously growin' number of souls it touches to this day. Jah bless.

  • This is one of B. Marley and the Wailers greatest recordings of all time, and one of Reggae's most amazing and incredible songs/recordings; it is among the greatest songs ever in the history of music, in any kind of music. Marley's vocal work is just fabulous. Melodically, it's amazing. The background vocals are awesome. Also pay attention to the FABULOUS horn work throughout the whole song. The band's ska is so incredibly happening, it's just out of this world right-on.

  • damn lol.

  • Couldn't agree with you anymore!

  • @hitomusic

    what are you smoking?!

  • que grandes los Wailers, great song

  • This is the mid 60s, the early years of Bob's career, then he never thought that he would be a reggae superstar...

  • @Rebelman19 he never was, he got tagged as a superstar after his death :S

  • DAMMMMM! I didnt know this was the original??? Is it.... Man Ive never seen Bob marley so young!
