Except for the quality... I just checked. The prewar Disney cartoons couldn't be beat technically: only through personality and different type of humor could people like the Fleischer Brothers match them... more or less. Van Beuren and Terrytoons depended too much on formulas, which was a cheaper way to get ideas then having a story staff working on that aspect.
